SG bases attack!
Yes same thing happened to me while i was entering my sg base after a sg mate told me that the turrets were attacking him i thought he was joking around but once i entered Oh boy....funny.
Seriously?
this is awesome. I have a few deathtraps I need to see if I can survive.

Funny thing is, i put this in the Bug Forums in beta long ago.
Here's a fun bug i found, i set a Base Def Item(I.E. Chain Gun) and it started to attack me and i could attack it.
Edit to add: It seems anything that can be attack via raid(long gone) can be but it's you're own base so you can raid yourself. So one can lay down a few items to blow up then exit editor and destroy it for some small influ(26 i was getting on CGs) then sell it back for the same Pres that it was brought with. |

I just logged in and added some defensive stuff to attack our base users. LOL!
I added a note in the MotD. That's fair, right?
i actually hope this bug isnt fixed then i can turn one of the useless decor rooms in my groups base into a sort of "danger room" lol
edit: well there are also bad sides to this bug, the base teleporters, teleport beacons, hospital pads, robo surgery, combat logs, auto doc, circuit breakers, any kind of generator for energy or control units are also attackable

Hi folks, just to update you on this issue we are working on it as one of our top priorities for our Live publish Tuesday, November 15.
As I mentioned in another thread, I like the idea of having a new room-type that toggles the defensive items to affect players... but I do not like the bug as it stands, base-wide. There are a LOT of beautiful bases that have these items as decor in several rooms. I'd hate to see them sacrificed for this bug.

I think this is the best bug ever, though I'm pretty fond of the humongosaurus zombies too. Or the ginormous player characters we used to get once in a while. That was a great bug. But the base coming alive and attacking you? Awesome. Like, Skynet test-bed awesome.

I will almost regret when this is fixed. I actually spent a whole afternoon building and placing as many of the defense items as I could, just to finally see them in action after 7 years of playing (since I never managed to get into a base raid back in the day).

Noting that Z mentioned it in the eventual fixes pile, I would like a chance to mess around with these sort of things before it goes away. :-p
Seems you'll have you chance. It isn't being fixed this patch.
I love the Danger Room Idea.
It's the only problem since Nov that we are enjoying! LOL...most our turrents are in areas that only lookee-loos and explorers would stumble on since our theme is a dimensional waystop not tech military base!
Since it is an interesting bug...itll be first fixed I'm sure. It isn't even in my list of ticketed items that grows every other day.

After the 11/10/2011 patch I zoned into my supergroup base only to find that the base turretts were firing upon me. Other items in the base were selectable and could be attacked. However, I was not automatically made a level 50 as in a base raid.
