Try to get a temperature monitoring program for your CPU and graphics card.
Something like HWmonitor works.
You want to keep everything as low temperature as possible. The CPU should be under 60 degrees Celsius, approximately 130 degrees Fahrenheit , and the graphics card needs to be under 80 degrees Celsius or it will likely get up to 100 really quickly, 212 degrees Fahrenheit(literally boiling). -

I don't think the search function has shown more than fifty names in ages if at all. I think it used to/does say something like "Showing 50 of XXX players online".

I'm not sure what game you've been playing but here in City of Heroes the majority of players have altitis, and thousands of us have multiple accounts because there aren't enough character slots for us on individual servers.

As for mine, since my condition makes it difficult to sit comfortably for any extended period of time...it generally changes multiple times throughout the hour, but for the last few issues it's been pretty much just sitting on the not so comfortable floor. -

What about keeping the 48 cap, but modifying it a bit. Cap it as an allocation cap meaning that you are allocated 48 per server unless you give up slots from an unused server. Thus you would have the potential cap of Number_Of_Servers_X_48, but could adjust them as you wished. I read another thread earlier today about "restrictions due to server resources" and wonder why they couldn't just make an "issue" focused on upgrading the existing server resources. Yes I understand the tech/$$$ components, just sayin.

Call me silly, and I know that atleast Someone will, but aren't dynamic IPs intended to lessen the chances of hacking, atleast at some level? I was under the impression that if I had a static IP, then it made it easier for someone to snoop their way towards and perhaps onto my network (assuming I was dumb enough not to have a router on my end with DHCP based internal IP routing).

Personally, I'm also in the camp that has no use for vanity pets. I've never been one for the Pokemon approach to in game pets, but that's my personal preference. Perhaps I'm privileged in the fact that I can see that there is a significant portion of our Community who is excited by vanity pets and show us so. It may not be good for me, but it's good for other people who really enjoy this type of content.

Eh, who's to say they weren't looking for new/cheaper blood to work on future issues of the game and didn't want to scare the possible candidates by mentioning that it wouldn't be a from-scratch project.

Wow so much response, thank you! I've already "wasted" my first character slot on Virtue right after the download was done so I'm happy to hear it's a well populated server. I will give Defiant a shot later but coming from a zombified mmo and another abandoned one I crave something more active for now.

If you notice, your entire SG menu turns red/purple when side switching to indicate that you nolonger have access/effect on the SG/VG.

@T_Immortalus: It's a wired mouse, one of the really old ones that goes in the green port (sorry, I'm really bad at technical terms) taking it out and putting it back in did improve things, but not by much.
@WanderingAries: this computer does fine with any other usb device, it just seems to fail to upload software for mice of any kind aside from this one. -
