  1. I think its something like a 1% chance an IO will drop whenever you kill a player and receive reputation.
  2. Lmao, ok the question has been thoroughly answered.
  3. [ QUOTE ]
Ah boo, I'd heard inklings that Ice was terrible these days.

Oh well, looks like I'll be venturing forth to get slapped around

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't know about getting slapped around, but you may not kill anything :P
  4. I have a fire aura tanker and I was considering slotting him out to soft cap his defenses, but I don't know if its even worth the money. Between DR and high +toHit bonuses currently on the field, should I waist my money soft capping his defense, or should I stick to resistance?
  5. Alright thx, with acro running i get 13 kb defense as well, hopefully its not too bad.
  6. Alright thank you, I dropped burn to pick up acro, what would be a good KB defense to shoot for to be safe from this? (Lol my other toon is a regen scrapper so never had to deal with knockback before)
  7. With TP foe, its an ability in the game that can easily be used to your advantage and those who use it are smart to take advantage of it. If you don't like being droned, don't camp the enemy base.

As for speed and concealment, having them simply makes it much easier to play. Not taking it just adds more challenge to the game. Speed, personally, is necessary more for chasing down other players more than anything else, I cannot imagine anyone being degraded for using it ESPECIALLY with suppression. Stealth is typically gotten for the phase shift which is usually the squishy players get out of jail free card, and I don't blame people for getting it. I do not use it on my build as its more fun to survive without.

It all comes down to those who want to make the game more difficult for themselves to make themselves feel more "pro" as a bit of an ego boost, and they just try to bring it to other people's attention by degrading their build. Then thereis the other half who see good abilities and take advantage of them and do not care about the any sort of "reputation" in a video game, and aim to make their play as efficient as possible.
  8. I need some help perfecting this build for pvp, both zone and arena. It seems to have good resistance/defense/damage, but the problem I see with it is its stats effect defenses. I am looking for advice on how to improve this setup.

  9. Ok thats pretty much what I was looking for, but looking at the stats, it seems that knockout blow does slightly less damage than total focus, with a slightly longer cooldown, but it has about a .8 second faster cast time, what makes super strength so much better?
  10. I know that SS is more popular in this situation, but as far as dealing high damage goes, how does energy melee compare?
  11. Viral_Titan

    Simple Question

Spines is alright for PvP, the fact that it has a ranged ability is nice but the best choice is either BS or Katana. BS is the most popular as it has high burst damage with slow recharge and high damage, but katana has high sustained damage with fast recharge and not quite as high damage. I prefer katana because its damage is highly comparable to BS but has less cooldowns, and the fact that Golden Dragonfly crits better than any other ability.
  12. There really is no good stealth moves worth getting for their actual stealth capabilities unless you are a stalker because of all the +perception found on a pvp field. I believe superior invisibility gives the stealth cap as well on a controller but I have never tested how well it works. I personally only stealth moves for the defense stats typically associated with them.
  13. Well stealth adds about the same defense as weave does, but you lose all the resistance from tough. If this is a pve build your talking about then stay fitness cause phase shift won't do you much good. If this is going to be used for pvp then phase shift would be highly recommended as it is a life saver.
  14. Alright well after reviewing the build a little bit, I have noticed that having both fighting and concealment gives me the best defense, but with that build I am still worried about end regen without fitness, but I don't think it will be that bad with full IOs...
  15. [ QUOTE ]
Are pvp IOs starting to drop again?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I think so
  16. There are no "rules", just some things are common courtesy like don't use insp in a duel (should be common sense), and don't attack others that are dueling. Also, most people don't appreciate accolades in a duel either.
  17. Viral_Titan

    PvP Corruptors

As a hero, I usually try to keep a lot of +end insp on me because of all the elec/therm corruptors out there. They are very annoying to fight, and I typically run when I get heat exhaustion on me as well.
  18. Ok, I have decided to get rid of the concealment line (as I was only getting it for phase shift, waist of 3 powers), and changed up the build and this is what I got. Could any improvements be made to make this build as tankish as possible?

(Note: Soaring Dragon and Golden Dragonfly actually have PvP IO sets on them, builder does not support them)

  19. Dark armor isn't THAT bad, after all it does offer psionic resists which seems to be the majority of the field now. The only problem is the heal which i usually just go find some npcs to heal off of. I still like regen because of the fact that most of your defense is healing so you don't have to worry about what the fotm damage type is.
  20. Viral_Titan

    Cheap builds

Anything really, just takes a little more effort than if you did have IOs. Just get phase shift and thats your universal IO replacer.

    PvP Brute/Tank!

Invul works fairly well, my personal favorite is fire. I has good defense, a GREAT heal, and boosts your damage.
