  3. I dislike giving mercs what thugs already has. I also don't think it would change much. 10-20% damage boost is great on all, but I feel like Merc is missing something else besides simple numbers.

    I've stated before that AoE Serum would be a way to freshen up the set as a whole but I also feel like the Medic should get some love. Take away all of his damage abilities except, 2(?) and give him an AoE Heal, and possibly a single target serum for him to use.

    I don't see Mercs being high damage dealers, I'd prefer it if they were more control and safety oriented, sorta like Robots except more dedicated.

    Commando can be shear power for all I care. Rocket Lawnchairs required. More explosions etc. Perhaps give him Scourge? Yeah he's suppose to deal good damage but in comparison to nearly everything else in his tier, he's only average. He beats the Lich but thats about it. Needs improvement.

    shear fun" AR or DP.

    Archery gets really boring on the flashy part really fast. sharp pointy sticks hurt but they don't explode enough or make giant puddles of fire.

    Ignite is an awesome power solo or not. Full Auto isn't the key power for AR, it's Ignite for sure, and Ignite combined with, say, Tar Patch or Sleet or Freezing Rain is just awe inspiring.

    Oh and DP is shiny.
  5. Anything. Truly, just pick whatever you want and it'll be a blast. This game doesn't require a whole lot of coordination, just a lot of men in spandex running around together beating other men...

  7. MA's numbers for lolpvp are greatly buffed as well. Eagle's Claw in pvp does more damage that Head Splitter. Nothing terribly amazing since it's still smash damage but it's something to remember.

    If you want a less 'doomy' approach then i'd suggest staying away from Kinetics. There are plenty of kinetics in the world. You'd be chugging along and then join a group conssiting of 2 more kinetics. Making you feel redundant. Pick Radiation or something like that. Defenders play extremely different based on what primary you choose. Tell us more about what you'd like to do as a Defender. Do you wanna Debuff? Heal? Buff? Just general support? There are many flavors...

    except rocky road... we're fresh out of rocky road.

  12. I find Thermal to be more sturdy. Your pets have low hp. 1 very strong hit could (and can) kill them outright, or perhaps a series of very quick attacks that you didn't anticipate. If they are dead, they can't be healed at all. So the +resistance really helps the pets, and your team survive these damage spikes a lot better, making your job a lot easier. You will have more time to stack Forge and your other, more powerful debuffs while throwing out less heals. Pain has to dedicate more time to healing, which i dislike.

    TL: DR: just play both!

  14. Scrappers or Brutes. They are a good combination of offense and defense with a littel bit of utility to use as 'oh shi~!' buttons.

    Well then my fight is pure luck based. Will all of their attacks hit me? Will all of my Attacks hit them? Its almost too risky. While debt is just another badge, i still have to run from the hosp all the way back to the damn mission. I have NR, but a lot of people don't.

    Remember, This is my Rad/Nrg blaster, meaning, I don't get a purdy heal to use or any extra +defense. I pop candy when I need to as well, but thats not something you should be relying on is it?
  18. I'm complaining.

    The powers you get for being a Vet, inparticularly Sands & Wands I feel are almost too strong.

    Hopefully in CoH2 these powers won't exist.

    Also, Ninja Run is unfair. Even if it can't be slotted, it's still a $10 advantage over the average joe.

  21. I originally made a Dark/Dark corruptor to start the show. But I immediately fell victim to the harsher difficulty setting.

    Ghouls are my biggest concern. With their ability to heal Ghouls around them, it really hurts my AoE attacks on my new character: Rad/Nrg Blaster. So I get an Irradiate in.. I defeat one of the ghouls, then he heals the other 2-3 around him, negating my AoE attack.

    The -regen on the ?Clockwork? and ?Police? powers are making me RAEG. It doesn't hurt too bad but why would you ever make another Vahzilok for early game? I thought the first thing the devs would have said when making new powers is: "Ok, the Vahzilok are brutal in the early game, lets stay away from that". I was wrong.

    Other than that, the game seems to run smooth. I will agree that the difficulty is a notch higher than in Paragon or on the Isles.

  23. First Character was Energy Blast.. Cannot deny it's amazingness.

    It just feels so powerful with all the knockback.
  24. I'm going to start doing Villain side SFs immediately. That way, I have every TF/SF badge.

    I suggest we merge TF and SF into TSF. That way we get a broader term.
  25. 1. Never use 'Death' 'Black' 'Blood' or any other cliche word while making a character.

    2. Never substitute a different letter for another letter or like capital i and lowercase l. It's 100% tacky. Same goes for non-english characters unless absolutely necessary for the name.

    3. Never play Fire Control or Kinetics again. Sadly, they are both over used and don't make me feel unique.

    4. Never call a Defender/Corruptor a healer. Immediately inform others why not to do it either.

    5. No AE. Ever. Farming is for easymode kids. This game is easy enough. if you want it even easier, why play the game at all?

    6. Never talk in Atlas. Only the stupid say more than 5 words in Atlas.

    7. Give out buffs (if any) to everyone. Even passerbys.

    8. Only help someone take down an enemy if they are in need of help. Otherwise, don't interfere.
