One of the early contacts in Going Rogue mentions the Resistance having "Plans within plans." You know who else has plans within plans? That's right, NEMESIS! They are for sure related. True story.

Unless Nemesis only WANTS you to think he has plans in Praetoria, as part of his Plot.

It's official now.

I actually thought that guy who you talk to right before you click the elevator thing that takes you up to Praetoria (while in the tutorial) had a very Nemesis-like armor.

I think his name is Marchand something.

Marchand. And not president in Praetoria.

You also encounter him in Mender Tesseract's TF, where you have to kill him off in the past to ensure that Lord Recluse becomes ruler of the Etoile Islands.

(Interestingly, Marchand was elected to office in 1937 and he was already pretty old. Then one of the alternate timeline Paragon Times articles has a bit on his 70th year in office. The guy must be at least 100 in Praetoria. The Emperor has good healthcare.)

Of course, the true genius is that Nemesis KNOWS you know it's a Nemesis Plot, so it's not really a Nemesis Plot.

But then Nemesis knows that you know it's not a Nemesis plot, so it really IS a Nemesis Plot.

Or at least that's what he WANTS you to think, since Nemesis KNOWS you know that he knows that you know that it's a Nemesis Plot, so it actually ISN'T a Nemesis Plot.

Aha! But then Nemesis KNOWS you know that he knows that you know that he knows that you know that it's not really a Nemesis plot, so in fact it really IS a Nemesis plot!

But that would just make you a sucker, Since Nemesis KNOWS that you know that HE knows that you know that he knows that you know that he knows that you know that it's really a Nemesis plot, thus he made sure it WASN'T a Nemesis plot.

Ah, the plots and non-plots of Nemesis are tangled and complex indeed...

The Resistance? Nah. You'll see. Whenever anything going wrong or weird in Praetoria, or whenever some group's secretly manipulating things from the shadows, who does it turn out to be?

The Syndicate. Every. Single. Time. The Syndicate is Praetoria's Nemesis Army.

BackAlleyBrawler: I can't facepalm this post hard enough.
ShoNuff: If sophisticated = bro-mantically emo-tastic, then I'm going to keep to my Shonen loving simplicity dammit.

I thought maybe it would be Neuron or Anti-Matter's secret lab work...
