Got it. I'll keep that in mind when reading your posts.
I wasn't mocking anything, so do go kindly stuff yourself. I was simply stating a fact to explain why his example of "all the cool names being taken" was an extremely poor one.

Very true. How about Blue Centurion42?
You know, your response would be meaningful rather than trolling had I made any sort of claim that my name was creative, original, etc. The fact of the matter is that "<color> Centurion" is not a particularly creative name. That doesn't make it bad necessarily, just means that the odds of it not being taken are extremely slim. To the point where I'd be extremely shocked to try it and find that it -IS- available on even a very low pop server.

One name, and a frightfully unimaginative one at that, doesn't prove your point.

But sure, if you want "Cool Name 412" you can probably get it. or "XxSpiderxX" Name a half dozen of your characters with cool names, on busy servers.
I see tons of cool names in the tutorial and running at the low levels all the time without the "Xx" or numbers. On Virtue, one of the two most populated servers. Just gotta be more creative than "Blue Centurion"....

Huh. Well, my Rogues have been able to do hero missions just fine since my very first one shortly after GR launched. *shrug* If it's a bug, it's been around for ages.
  7. Nope, they've always been able to do this. Same with Rogues on Hero missions. Might've been different during the GR beta, but I wasn't able to get in on that much.

Hell, I wound up turning OFF the persistent gore in Dragon Age because it just got annoying...

I don't care where you get your powers from you can learn to use a rocket board same as you can learn to drive a car. Very very very few power concepts will prevent this.
Power concepts, sure. But there's more to concept than just the powers. I don't see a hero that likes to fight crime in a snazzy suit and tie riding around on a rocket board much.

Same reason the mez protection in Super Reflexes is a click. Just the way it works. It's a compromise for the set.

Well, some that young, but not many. And those that are do so against the ESRB rating ( Teen ). Still, blood and gore would be violating it the other way.

And remember, lots of times we're attacking enemies who regenerate (trolls), have super-reflexes (Crey Operatives), have magic (hellions, carnies), use mutagens (destroyers, trolls, family), are mutants (outsiders), aliens (nictus), are supernatural (nerva demons, warwolves, vampyri) or are wearing power armor (crey tanks). Plus the robots.

that said there are times (low level skuls) where it's pretty hard to suspend disbelief.
Skulls have magic, too. Hellions summon demons, Skulls use voodoo magic of a sorts.

No, we don't. While I'm not anti-blood/gore, it's completely unnecessary. I don't mind it when it's there as long as it's not to the point of just being ridiculous ( Unless it's done for comic effect in a game themed around that kind of humor ), but we're not missing anything without it. It adds absolutely nothing to gameplay. And when it comes to pure fluff, I'd rather have a shinier world in general than blood-and-guts splattering around.

I am both excited and confused about the Buster Sword being there.
The Buster Sword from FF7 was a big-honkin' sword, but "big honkin' sword" does not automatically equal "Buster Sword".

Hover's fine speed-wise these days. It moves at around sprint speed unslotted. 3-Slot it and swift with flight speed, and I believe you get around the unslotted Fly speed.

You want sucky hover speed? Look at how it was in the early days... It was about useless.

We do. That doesn't mean you'll never hit a queue, though. If the server's full, the server's full. You'll be among the first in the door ( Other VIPs that queued up ahead of you will get in first, of course ), but that doesn't mean you'll never have to wait.

Honestly, the queues are a good sign ( Though also a sign that hardware upgrades are needed ): It means we're drawing enough population to fill the servers. That never happened except on 2xp+free reactivation weekends before.
  20. Honestly, if you slot up Swift and Sprint with runspeed, you can move at a good clip with Beast/Ninja Run. It really is viable as a travel power like this, IMO. It's not the fastest nor does it have the best verticle movement, but it is a good hybrid of superspeed and superjump ( Not as fast as SS or high leaping - nowhere near as high, but higher than CJ - as SJ... But, combine the two into one free power, and it's a fantastic deal ).

My one wish was that I could have Ninja Run turned on with SJ just for the flippy animation while I jump.

I've seen well oiled teams where this is absolutely not true, actually, when all things are taken into consideration. For your average PUG, though, it's probably true in most cases.

Twinshot doesn't hand you off to new contacts, either. At least, she didn't a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, this. It's the new(ish) large warehouse rooms that are causing the problem. A really high end system won't notice it, but anything less...yeah. It's not the multiple video cards or anything, it's something screwy with the room design.

Preatorean lab maps don't seem to play nice, either. But they're less of a problem.
