Vigilantes can take villain missions now?

I logged into one of my Vigilantes for the first time in a long time and saw she had a finished Mayhem mission to turn in, so I went to St. Martial and turned it in and got to pick a contact. I picked Hard Luck and since he showed up on my map I figured what the heck and went to talk to him. And surprisingly, he offered me a mission.

I didn't think that was possible. I thought the only missions a solo Vigilante could get in the Isles were Newspaper and Tip Missions. Did that change or is this a bug?

Nope, they've always been able to do this. Same with Rogues on Hero missions. Might've been different during the GR beta, but I wasn't able to get in on that much.

From what we were told and were able to do in GR Beta, you were right in your thinking. I don't know if it was changed or is a bug though.

That shouldn't be possible given what we were told and able to do in GR beta.

...hm, this requires more testing. It would be a lot easier to get Patron pools if I only had to go Vigilante and back (2 alignment changes, 4 days) instead of all the way around (4 alignment changes, 8 days) - and more conceptually palatable for many of my characters; the vigilante -> villain tips are very dark.

I have a character I can check this with tonight, if nobody can confirm it before then.

Yeah, this is definitely a bug. Happened briefly during the Going Rogue beta testing.

Seriously, if such a major change was intentionally made, don't you think it would be announced?

I just completed a bank mission in talos with my level 25 Rouge Widow, Croquette just offered me my choice of Lansdale, Larson or Lannister as a contact.

Edit: I picked Lansdale but she won't give me missions

Huh. Well, my Rogues have been able to do hero missions just fine since my very first one shortly after GR launched. *shrug* If it's a bug, it's been around for ages.

I just tried on my level 40 vigilante, and Arbiter Rein won't talk to me. Says maybe if I were more like him...

You mean maybe if you were wearing a white opaque dome on your head?

It is possible that it's an intermittent bug and I always happened to be on my rogues when it was active.

I just tried to unlock a blueside contact with my widow by doing Detective Huthinson's (IP) bank mission. He give me a choice of 3 contacts, I chose Larson but Larson won't give me missions .

Both contacts I picked show up in my inactive contacts tab.

Well, Arbiter Rein won't talk to my vigilante 50 scrapper.

I just did a bank mission in Grandville with a level 44 Vigilante. I was given the option to pick a contact. I picked Terrence Dobbs but Dobbs won't talk to me.

This is intended. Looks like some characters get glitched so they are both Hero and Villain while being a tourist...

I can't explain it but I am on mission 3 of his arc.

If I had a Vig in St Martial range I would run a bank so I could try to get Hardcase to give me missions.

Keep doing the missions hy-beam, let us know if Hardcase introduces you to anyone else.

If I remember correctly, I was able to run Unai Kemen's arc while beta testing GR last year. I wanna say that it's something random that happens sometimes, but I'm not sure.

Man it would be awesome if we could run the missions of contacts we gain through bank missions. But I'm guessing this is a glitch with Hardcase... somehow it seems appropriate that he would work for vigilantes.

Something I just noticed when I logged in, while I have the mission, I do not have the "Arc" symbol on the contact, which leads me to believe this is a bug. Also to clarify, it is Hard Luck, not Hardcase. Two different contacts in St. Martial.

ETA: after looking him up in the Wiki, what I got was his 4 regular missions. Not his arc or the badge mission he gives out. After the 4 he stopped talking so it looks like it was a bug.
