Quote:I was playing my Dark/Dark Defender when I responded to someone's Broadcast for a Defender. he asked me if I was a healer. I replied, "I have a heal". He never invited me. his loss.Last time I heard "We need [x]" it was Brickstown, "We need a healer" and I was playin a Dark/Ice defender.
I actually got into an argument with the leader ... I don't remember whether I quit or got kicked, but it was probably just a matter of 20 seconds either way. -

Quote:That premise is a personal subjective opinion made by each individual player, Or foisted on them while they were still learning the game, by players who think that they can't play the game unless the Endurance bar is always full, and therefore don't know that there are, in fact, viable builds that do not utilize Endurance recovery powers, such as Stamina.
- Premise 4: With Premise 2 in mind, it is considered mandatory for most characters to take pool power Stamina or slot heavily for endurance reduction to remain functional.
I expect a lot of negative rep from this stance! -
Quote:*clears throat*"hi sexy" + "worship" emote + comments to other teammates when I don't reply = me feeling really creeped out
Sometimes, random people do this to me. I have no idea why. I don't see my characters as having revealing outfits, but they're not all in baggy clothes, either. I suppose I'm a little too sensitive to this, and sending a scathing reply after one comment would be too antisocial of me. I'll just wait until they 1) demand a response, 2) increase the lewdness of their comments, 3) hit the "worship" emote, 4) comment to teammates, or 5) put the "hi sexy" comment with anything else, such as " lets cyber".
The problem now, of course, is that I feel like making a bikini babe just so that I can use some of the hilarious responses that people came up with. They're just too good to pass up.
*After much debating, I've decided NOT to make a bikini babe character. Oh well. At least now I'm not scared to play anymore.*
Hey sexy
Wow. am I the only one that heard Johnny Bravo there? -
I must really be the odd man out here. I don't even have Speed Boost on my lone /Kin controller. I'm not here to pamper my team mates. I'm here to defeat the bad guys. SB, although very nice, can be done without. Just like Stamina.
See? I'm very ood. -

Quote:The fact that you're actually continuing a "discussion" about the pic in question, leads me to think that your "emotional response" goes beyond mere distaste.here i will point out that you did not actually add anything meaningful to the argument
if you go back and suffer through all my punctuationless posts and then respond to the points raised we might just get somewhere
i will say that "dire offense" is, in all likelihood, not what anyone is actually experiencing
the actual emotion is probably closer to "distaste" which i think is a reasonable reaction due to the picture depicting a woman being graphically impaled
I find the picture distasteful, but I am not making a big deal about it. Therefore, my "emotional response" is merely distaste and not outright loathing.
It is difficult to offend me because I am fairly adept at ignoring what I find "distasteful". If I ignore something, I don't make a big deal about what I'm ignoring. And I've been ignoring BillZ's Sig Pic. -
My hat is off to you, Mister Claw.

Quote:My dominator was tanking (not in a bad way) last night. When I asked when I became the tank the response was "you tank no matter what AT you play."I think you mean "Tankers are tankers".
It has always seemd to me that part of the confusion is that there is a party role commonly called "tank" and an AT called "tanker". -
Quote:I don't know about you, but I can make it half way across the length of IP before I have to rest, using Teleport. That's unslotted. If I had conserve power, I wouldn't need to rest at all. And I don't need Hover either.Even if it were fair for teleport to cost the most out of all the travel powers (something has to be the best/worst, one way or another) that doesnt really justify the huge gap there is now. As it is, I can't go from one end of a zone to the other without running out of end. Can you factor in the time I have to spend waiting to recover my end, and still tell me it's the fastest travel power?
However, I do agree that the Endurance cost could stand a little tweaking. -
Quote:What is that was his home? That would make both statements true.He didn't go home, and he's not dead! I know, cause he lives on my paper route!

Quote:That depends on if the person that "found" the exploit /bugged it or not, don't you think? If they didn't /bug it and used the exploit to gain unwarranted benefits, then they should be punished for the transgression.NO it is not bannable to use any mission AE or otherwise to boost leveling it is only a banable offense to use Exploits which also should not be banable because the Devs should find and correct these issues and stop blaming the users that find them.
I'm 99.99% sure that the Devs aren't going to ban someone that found an exploit and let them know about it up front. -

I have a Mastermind with a petsay command in a keybind. I tried to make another keybind with a petsay command and I get the pets saying petsay blah blah blah instead of actually doing the emote. andf saying what they're supposed to say.
If I typed in the petsay command with out making it a keybind, it works flawlessly.
As an example:
This works - /petsay_all <em praise>You are the greatest!
This doesn't - /bind f "petsay_all <em praise>You are the greatest!"
What is the deal?
I is cornfuzzeled. -
Quote:Define efficiently.By allowing all ATs in the game to Solo efficiently would go a long way in preventing players from CoX leaving to Champions On LIne or DC Heroes.
I'll bet that your definition differs from mine and both yours and mine differ from the devs. All because "efficiently" is subjective and not objective. -

Quote:Its a risk/reward thing. Very similar to AE farming.I don't really see how this is exploitation. Doing that would just be called playing smart. I see farming AE missions as a far bigger concern than having to deal with somebody who just chose the easy path, power disparities and imbalances which shouldn't even be in the game in the first place...
Take a late blooming Scrapper set combo like Spines/Dark. Its a pain in the neck to play up to mid level. But a MA or Dark/Regen is a piece of cake. So, you play the MA/Regen to 32, switch to Spines/Dark and you're good to go continuing to have your cake and eat it too.
Not a great idea. I have to /unsign this as well. -

Thank you for allowing me to necro this post?
I think the Devs have done awesome with this game over the last 5 years. Keep up the good work. -

Probably spending a lot of time forgetting the forums are down and habitually clicking the link anyway.

This is probably what I'll be doing as well. -

...and constant re-galeing.

What stories do you re-gale them with to keep them in the corner? -
[ QUOTE ]
QUESTION: Does your own general playstyle seem to reflect how you react in other social situations (not necessarily choir, but other similar kinds of groups)?
[/ QUOTE ]
For the most part, yes. When I'm running around the vity and I see someone who is doing their best but getting a little overwhelmed, I'll send a buff or heal their way. I won't attack their opponents, but I will buff or heal the character.
As for the role I assume when I play on a team, that is determined, some what, by the AT I'm playing at the time. My Warshade is the back-up Tank for the team. That mean that I usually play in Human form until the tank drops, or I'm getting seriously mezzed. Then its Lobster time.
When I team, I'm usually quiet, unless there's a lull in the action long enough for me to type something. I don't normally do PuGs, so I tend to team with people I know. So there are lots of jokes and stuff tossed around.
[ QUOTE ]
Also, a subquestion I thought of randomly a few seconds ago: Do you act differently between playing different ATs?
[/ QUOTE ]
I tend to semi-RP when I play. Every character I make has a personality. Some I RP more than others. but I don't always, actually, I rarely speak "In Character". Its just the actions or the targets that character chooses first.
