Why does my "new" petsay keybind not work?

I have a Mastermind with a petsay command in a keybind. I tried to make another keybind with a petsay command and I get the pets saying petsay blah blah blah instead of actually doing the emote. andf saying what they're supposed to say.

If I typed in the petsay command with out making it a keybind, it works flawlessly.

As an example:

This works - /petsay_all <em praise>You are the greatest!

This doesn't - /bind f "petsay_all <em praise>You are the greatest!"

What is the deal?

I is cornfuzzeled.

I decided to try it myself. This is quite odd, because I never use binds like that I never noticed. My macros and manually entered ones work fine. Known bug?
even if so, /bug it.

So, the ones that were made before the change still work, but the ones created afterwards won't?

are you sure? when i make a macro the < and > work for me. the main trouble i have is making there be more than just one command in one macro. i was told to separate the different commands by $$ in the past, but it doesn't seem to work any more.

Nope. I have several macros and binds on my MM (all of which involve making the minions perform emotes) that haven't worked since they made that change (Issue 13).

Works fine if I copy the commands and paste them directly into the command line, but not from a macro or bind.

My suggestion would be to try separating the emote and the associated dialogue:

/bind f "petsay_all <em praise>$$petsay_all You are the greatest!"

I have (well, had) several macros for my Mercs where they would all do an animation and each would speak an individual line. My favorite was where they would cower in fear of me, each of them begging "Please!" "No!" "Mercy!" with the last guy pointing and going, "HE did it!" Another good one was them all sucking up to me-- "Great idea, boss!" "MAN he's smart!" "Genius!" ...with the attendant thumbsup, clapping, etc.

These days, though, while I can get the animations to work-- and those are commands in a string linked by "$$"-- the speech bubbles don't work anymore. I had heard some time ago that petsays were bugged; is there a fix for this yet?
