Cardiac core.
Boosts end reduction, awesome for crabs, res, generally awesome and range, great for supression. -
So I'm now rich enough to start refining and finalising my build. With the PvP price crash etc, I'm able to afford pretty much anything.
So here is what is looking to be my finalised build.
Feedback is appreciated.

OK, made some changes to your build, see what you think.
http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/downl...C67F01181705FF
That hopefully gives you a bit more damage and recharge, along with some debuffing. Love the name, by the way. Hopefully it might inspire you. -
Quote:OK, this is really bugging me...why are you randomly captilising words? It sets off my OCD >.<If The Dev don't see nothing wrong with the power set, then they won't fix the Arctype.
If you Don't like Scrappers then don't play them, People still play them well, there for I don't see them Improving them any time soon.
They Still do there Job Well, Scrappers Still one the best Arctype Melee Set, They can Solo well, On 8 +4 Mobs they can Still Clean up the trash well and can do that without dieing.
Anyway, way I see it, the melee archetypes work.
Brutes are raging dervishes of destruction that keeps everyone focused on them while they pound everything.
Tankers make a statement. They get in there, makes everyone focus on them and keep bashing away very workmanlike.
Scrappers are brutes on a smaller scale. They beat up everything in AoE.
Stalkers are more focused, targetting the bosses and Lts and murdering them.
If anything, what I would do to scrappers if give them a small AoE on crits. So you crit on a minion, you do 55 damage or so, bit less than a proc but AoE. -
Are you stacking it enough to overcome the bosses protection?
-
-
I don't see how you can think it is bad.
At +4/8, I'm getting 5-6 mobs with it, minion, lts sometimes bosses.
For me, what is does is it gives me alpha mitigation, by stopping a few enemies from using their alpha strikes. Even if it doesn't effect them, like EB or AV or GMs, or they get out of it early, they still have -15% damage.
That -15% damage is like having 15% res that stacks with your other res.
For example, if you had 85% resitance, it would still work, knocking you up to 87.25. And that is just at the cap.
I'm running 50% res and for me it is 7.5% damage resistance extra.*
At 0% damage resistance is it 15%.
And got to remember, it helps the team, espesically if there are AoEs.
*Maths done quickly in my head, may be wrong. -
I feel yay I am now considered good enough to give people build advice ^.^
Yeah, just tell me what you want, I'll give it a go. -
Tell me what you are aiming for, and I'll have a go at building you something tanker crab.
And for the record. 1 +5 and 1 +2 = one new none set IO, so for hasten, if you 2 slot it with level 50 recharges, and boost 1 to +5 and 1 to +2, have basically 3 slotted it. -
So, I've made a build, and I'm close but not perma hasten, dom, etc. I'm playing this up as my first dom. Trying to get within a purple of soft cap.
Any advice?

So I'm rolling up 1 of every toon and I have yet to make a stalker. I like to have concepts to go with my AT's, so I came up with Lightning Spider Jack, a normal, if well trained human, who is a member of a preemptive security group and whose powers come from a taser suit her was given by the company.
This translates into an electricity/nin stalker.
So I'm making a build for him, and I usually min max like hell. Purples, PvP IOs, and I'm trying to avoid it in this build, keep costs down. My idea was to give him 40% to all defences or as close enough as possible for a pocket full of purples to do me.
So can I get some feedback?

Budget, goals, EBs or not to EBs, ATOs, just tell me that.
-
Link us your build. I'll see what I can do.
-
As you will all know, pets are very unhelpful in trials due to their tendancity to not listen to your complex strategies and the AIs utter fail at helpocity.
So I made this build, which is better.
The lack of pets is easy to solve. Simply grab a bunch of noobies from Atlas Park. Say you are doing a fire farm or DFB. Tell them to listen to your command very carefully, and make macros telling them to attack, bunch around you, follow, or not do anything.
Ta-dah! You now have maximum helpocity pets!
But what if your new pets don't listen to you? They are unhelpful and don't listen to your complex plans? Well, you could kick them using another macro with some message explaining their faults, how to fix them and how to uninstall their client. Or! You can use their dead bodies as an example to your other pets and make them work better!
But your pets can also get hurt! You need to watch their every move and yell at them if they get hurt! But you also need to fight more so you take heal. But make sure you macro it, so it tells them what you actually think of them when you heal them. Have many macros if you want, to tell people exactly what you think of them!
Another good thing is all the recharge. If you aren't at at least 400% recharge, then how can you keep attacking?
This build also has lots of slow and knockback. The knockback I guess you can drop, so long as you group with the OP, but the slow is important. Some of your pets will be level 1 and won't have access to swift or hurdle. You need slow so your pets can hunt them down.

Quote:I think Time should be on that list. I only have one Mastermind, a mid 40's Bots/Time, and he's pretty tough just on generic IO's. I haven't played him in about a month because I just don't really like babysitting pets, but Time is an awesome set. The heal is great, and the debuffs and buffs are very solid. I actually threw together a petless Demon Whip/Time/Knockout Blow build recently that softcapped every position, had perma Chrono Shift, and good resistance to boot.
This. Time is great for holding bosses, debuffing def/res in AoEs and keeping your pets going. Farsight, temporal selection on the bot which is taking the most damage, chrono when you run low of power and use temporal juncture while standing in a spawn with reasonable defence = winning. -
So no one would be interested in a guide that covers min maxing? Things like what is better, SBEs or normal enhancements and in what powers, how much recharge is needed for certain things, frankenslotting, where and when. ATOs, etc?
-
I was thinking more along the lines of explaining slotting for hasten, sources of diffrent types of stats, such as recharge. Maybe some frankenslotting advice, ATOs and other such thing.
-
So, with the SB enhancements, all the free merits floating around and the ATOs, why don't we put togther a general build guide with advice on how squeeze every last % out of your toon?
I am willing to write this up if I can get someone to proof read it and check it for me? -
So the Paragon Market is now appealing to min maxers even more :P
So what else is worth slotting, do you know? -
Given how you can do DA while in the LFG que now for trials, I would say it is pretty reasonable. On the beta forums, there is a guy who worked it out at being about 1 level shift a week. For solo, no trial progression, that is pretty reasonable.
Now I haven't seen a single BAF or LAM form on virtue, since Issue 22 went live. I've seen DD, and MoDD. Because they are new, shiny and easy. I see the new farming rota going Lam, DD, Baf, Keyes, MoM, TPN, UG. So, play DA, get your level shifts. Do DD. -
Yeah so what can I use as a temp replacement :P
-
So I am enjoying dark dark, my first dom, quite a bit and I'm already looking at maxing her out, so can anyone suggest two powersets that are similar enough to dark dark in mids that I can start slotting?
Or does anyone have a mid database edit for dark? -
I don't see this as a problem. The only problem I see is how fast they have been raising the cap from +1 to +3.
I've not seen any AT being useless, so long as they are willing to adapt. MMs have to take extra care of their pets. Blasters can't just run off and blap around.
And I have never seen anyone call for x over anything else. The only thing I've seen close to that is calls for /dark or Widows on MoMoM runs, but they will take anything. -
Quote:I'll need to find the post, but red names have said that IOs are WAI and HOs weren't.Where? Link?
Edit: Do you mean this?
"Hamidon, Synthetic Hamidon, Titan and Hydra Enhancements will no longer incorrectly enhance attributes other than those specified by the enhancement."
Membranes specifically enhance To Hit Buffs, Defense, and Recharge. I do not see how Membranes won't boost Mind Link's recharge.
Can a red name clarify, please? -
