*shrug* It looks quite a bit like running through a layer of fallen leaves to me. I'd say that's very autumnal. I'm not sure what else you would expect an Autumn Leaves path aura to look like.

The last mission that Investigator Whitworth gives has an NPC named Bunni. Her description is "Bunni claim she saw a rabbit once, a real one, not one of Neuron's clone super bunnies.".
Anyone have any kind of information on these "super bunnies", or any idea what they might be? Or is it just a random unexplained bit that I'll have to bug the devs about next UStream? -

Quote:What does electronics going bad have to do with changing formats? And how many MP3 players have you had to buy because the battery mysteriously starts to stop functioning or starts to lose its charge? My mp3 player is on the way out because it's charge can be measured in fractions of an hour. Cheaper to buy a new one than a new battery.
And my e-reader DID go bad. And it was replaced for free. And I could still read my e-books on my computer while it was getting replaced.
Quote:Except for when places like Amazon decide they want to delete books from it. Accept the fact that you don't own that copy when you buy a file.
Quote:You can see that with DVDs and Blu-Rays. They want you to have to buy the "new" format so they can charge you for the same content again.
Quote:And do you have an iPod? An iPad? A laptop? Along with all the other gadgets people tend to accumulate.
Quote:Why would you want to? Pick one or the other. If you go hiking, are you listening to an mp3 player while doing so? Why? You're missing everything else in the environment so you can listen to the latest manufactured pop band auto-tuned to someone else's lyrics.
Quote:No, it's not. It might be the "same" when you consider that it's the transfer of the words to your brain, but all the other bits of the activity are different. -
I have an e-reader, and I also have books. Both have their place in my life, and both will continue to for the conceivable future.
Quote:Just like you've had to buy multiple mp3 players because they keep on changing formats? Oh, wait...I never have to buy another e-reader because they stopped supporting that format. Replacing a paper book is a lot cheaper than replacing a reader.
There's no way to stop "supporting the format". My ebooks work on my e-reader. They can't sneak into my house and make it stop working. And arbitrarily changing formats would just be ridiculous.
Quote:I never have to worry about breaking DRM or being accused of copyright violations.
Quote:Nor do I have to ever worry about making sure that the ever-increasing number of gadgets are compatible or kept up to date.
...doesn't seem to be increasing to me.
Quote:You do however have to worry about having all your eggs in one basket.
Quote:All my books are right at my fingertips too. If I'm on a vacation, I'm not taking along ANY gadgets other than a camera. No readers, no ipods, no ipads, no game devices. Just a camera to record things. It amazes the hell outta me when people go to other countries, but spend their time fiddling with a PSP or playing around with an ipod. Might as well stay at home if that's all you're going to do.
How exactly is reading an e-reader that radically different than reading a book? It's the same activity. -
Gallup polls also don't involve random numbers.

A lot of my favorite arcs have already been covered. But one thing that hasn't that I absolutely love is the Praetorian Achievement badges.
"Surely at some point, you will wake up and think, "Perhaps today I will stop courting certain doom." But obviously not today." -

I ran into someone in game the other day that didn't know you had to have Going Rogue to switch sides. The "I talked to people that didn't know about it" argument isn't going to slide. There is nothing under the sun that Paragon Studios could possibly do to not only make every single person in the game know about the announcement, but also remember it for more than 12 seconds.
-
Quote:It was in the launcher, too. You know...the thing every person has to use to get into the game? No, because:
1. The email system stinks. I didn't get any email about and it was NOT due to any problem with my email. I get less than half of their announcements.
2. If someone doesn't visit the forums, how would they know to look at the forums to find out about it?
I would think anything important should go in the global message of the day. I haven't seen that being used much lately.
And if it was in the GMotD, you (or someone else) would be whining "Oh, I just click through that! I didn't expect it to have any important information! THEY SHOULD HAVE WARNED US!" -
Quote:The info was out there, in the same place the info is always put. It was in half a dozen places, and pretty easy to find out about. And I'll say again, this is wrong. The company tried to communicate something and FAILED. Their marketing department wasn't trying hard enough and/or doing it right. Blame the players all you like, call them all the names you like - the company still failed.
Someone failed, but it wasn't Paragon Studios. Or did you expect them to call every single person up personally to make absolutely sure every single last person knew about the sale? -
"WalMart put an ad in the paper about their sale last weekend, and had notices about the sale at the front of their store, but I don't read the paper and I didn't look at the signs at the front of the store, so I demand they repeat the sale!"

Quote:There's no possible way the devs can reasonably make the event so every single person out there can attend. Some people are going to miss out. I may end up being one of them, at least for Virtue. But if you really want to attend, surely you can manage to do so on one of the 11 days it's running on. Roll an alt. No, it's not the same as on your home server...but you'll still get to participate. And alts really aren't that scary...they don't bite. And what about those of us who really don't care much about the badge and really don't care what happens on Freedom? I don't want to experience the invasion on a character that I rolled up just for the invasion. I want to experience it on my home server, on one of my characters that I have played for years now. But you offer a 3 hour window on a week night for me to be able to do that? Not all of us have 9-5 jobs, some of us have commitments that will prevent us from being able to make it to an event run in the evening. It sounds like it's going to be an awesome event and I want to participate but it looks like I'm going to miss out on it.
And if that's not good enough for you? Well, I'm afraid you'll just have to get over it. Sorry, but the devs are only human. When you're talking about a live event, they can't possibly cater to every single last person. -
Quote:Then they also CHOOSE to potentially miss out on announcements. And bulldookey to you. The majority of players CHOOSE not to read the forums. To label them as lazy is sloppy thinking.... at best.
What's next? If they put it on the launcher, but someone still misses it, are you going to demand that the devs personally call everyone up and tell them about it? -
Glad to see the changes. This should work out much better.

Nope, a cute fuzzy bunny is a Mind/Kin controller. Confuses and distracts with cuteness!
-
I have two like this. One was created solely for fun dialog like this. "a cute fuzzy bunny" (who is incidentally pacted to my boyfriend's "a small adorable fox").
The other also creates fun dialog, but actually has a reason behind it. "a tiny kitten", who has a group of street thugs who protect it from harm. -

Most of your random babbling has already been responded to, so I'll just cover this.
The reason for this is because 50 people is the maximum the search window ever shows. At one point, the "50 Heroes Found" included "This list has been truncated" (or something similar). I'm not sure why they got rid of that when they upgraded the search window...but it's still true. If you press "search" again, you'll come up with 50 Heroes again, but it will be a completely different list. -
Looking at the forum and posting in the forum are not the same thing. They don't respond to much, yes, but they're almost certainly paying at least some attention to it.

Quote:If you literally only care about one thing in the power, like recharge in Build Up, then Standard IOs are the best way to go. After 30, IOs are better than SOs of the same level.I am confused, because I just sort of assumed that if you used a set, you would be outstripping using SO's in every way, but technically, if you really cared about one thing, like say hold duration in this case, SO's would technically do that one thing better. Is that correct?
If you care about two things, Frankenslotting (using different sets to maximize your gains) is the way to go. Four Acc/Dam IOs far outshines two Acc SOs and two Dam SOs.
After this, you have to start balancing set bonuses vs. gains and all that...but proper frankenslotting will always be better than SOs. -
The OP said they have two level shifts, but never stated which ones they are. They seem to both be Incarnate Shifts, though.

Quote:And I can just imagine a group of people who would get a bunch of these together just so there were 10 or 20 Rikti Invasions in a row in PI.And as it stands; the stated mission would be zone specific; to Peregrine Island.
I'm sad to say it because CoH is overall a friendly community...but since it is the internet, there's the standard percentage of complete jerks. -
Tier 3 is +1. Tier 3 Lore is +1. Tier 3 Destiny is +1.
Tier 4 just retains the +1. It doesn't add another +1. -
Quote:Build a second Tier 3. Any Tier 3, as long as it's in the same tree. If you scroll down, there's a recipe for every combination.Question 1: To get to the T4, do I have to build a new T1, T2, and T3? Is that what it means by "Cardiac Partial Radial Revamp"?
Question 2: Do I need this exact item, or just any of the items that is not the T3 I currently have?
Quote:Question 2: Aren't Biomorphic Goo, Detailed Reports, and Supercharged Capacitors made with threads not shards?
