Color in titles?

So I was taking my Praetorian Dominator (normally blueside) through redside to pick up a patron pool. Of course, when I switched I lost my title. I went to the trainer to get another, and saw this:





I haven't heard or seen anything else about this. Please oh please tell me this is not a bug.

I have confirmed this option is available on every character I've tried on my main account (84 month vet) but none on my 2nd account (which isn't). I have also confirmed other people do see the title color I set.

I don't have those color selectors on my lv50 corruptor (non-sideswitched villain made eons ago)

Oh wait, you are a helper. I think you're allowed to change your title color if you've selected helper.

edit: dammit, this was supposed to be an edit of the previous post but it is way too late/early for clicking the right buttons apparently.

edit2: welp, just attempted helper status on my corr and still don't have the color selectors.

edit3: game is going down for maintenance or I would poke around and test further.

I don't know if it's a good or bad thing that this thread excites me more than the i20 overview. That said, I love colour.

Might be something for 84 monthers (which I'm delayed a day or so thanks to a credit-card snafu six months ago.)

Further checking with other 84-month vet's I've run across points to this being an undocumented 84-month reward.

I have this as well, and I'm an 84 month vet. the Character that I found it on has never switched sides.

I found that today on my Archer/TA corruptor. I noticed it when I dinged 50, I am not sure if it was there before or not. I have not check on any other charcaters.

FYI I chose none on the helper pop-up and I am an 84 month vet. I'll check my other account later after I eat.

It must be vet related, my other account doesn't have access to the colors. Also on my 84 month vet account, I logged in a lvl 17 and he could color his title.

Wow, I'd have to say that having a Vet award be "undocumented" like that is pretty cheesy. Even if you side-step the debate on whether or not something like this SHOULD be a Vet award I think it seems incredibly weird that it wasn't at least in a patch note somewhere. It almost leads me to speculate that this might have been intended as say the 87th or 90th month Vet award that somehow "slipped" into this build by accident. It'll be interesting to see if the Rednames ever comment on this or not.

Looks like rednames are hiding from us today. On a confirmation of yes it was intended for 84 month, or uh-ho, it is now part of the 84 month

I used a color title for a little while after the vet reward came out (I found out about it from someone at the 7 year anniversary party on Test), but ended up reverting it to normal after a while. It's cool and all, but people constantly sending me tells asking me how I got a red title gets annoying after a while!

meh.. I rarely use titles, and I rarely have names displayed. I do not see names floating above people's heads in real life, why should I in a game that I prefer to get immersed in? If I want to see who they are I'll mouse over them. (Wait, is "mouse" a verb now? )
