Only the Alpha level shift works outside Incarnate Trials, the rest don't. You can be +1 in normal content, but not any higher than that.

But they said Level 50 Minions were still appearing as White. If he's counted as 50 + 1 shouldn't they be blue?
The OP said they have two level shifts, but never stated which ones they are. They seem to both be Incarnate Shifts, though.
OP - are you sure they were level 50? Perhaps it was the occasional mob that cons 51 that happened to be in the entrance? Just a thought.
Did you ever die in the mish? - if so and if you had an active level shift - i.e. the Alpha one you would notice the conning colours change as you wouldn't have the shift when dead.
Bear in mind not all mobs con as white for even levels - prisoners for example con as -1. I can't think of any off of the top of my head which con as +1 however.

Thank you for the quick responses. I have 2 incarnate level shifts. I unlocked the alpha slot but never slotted it. I guess its off to the shard farm!

Not sure if I am posting this in the correct place but here it goes.
After I received my second level shift I noticed much improved performance in the trials. Some mobs did not con purple anymore and my damage increased.
I was curious how my toon would perform in normal newspaer mission. I quickly selected a level 50 newspaper mission with the difficulty set to fight mobs at my own level (+0).
Before entering the mission I expected to see level 50 minions con green to me since I had 2 level shifts. To my surprise there was no difference. Level 50 minions still appeared white, Lt's Yellow, and the Boss orange.
Does this mean the level shifts only work in the trials? Would not make sense if that is the case since my other incarnate powers seem to work fine.
