Burning question for the Devs...
I can't speak for the devs, but as for me, I never speak in absolutes.
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

Are you a sith?
I quit speaking in absolutes right after I said; "Why would I want to live in Oklahoma? I'll never live there." Two months later I was in Oklahoma.
I think God did it to spite me. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was after a few years. At least the traffic was better than here in Atlanta...
Tech Support Rule #1 - They will lie to you. Usually intentionally.
I'm not a developer, but as a member of the Community Team and thus also having to give out vague answers, (you're all familiar with Soon) I try to give leeway wherever I can, including matters unrelated to the game. Allowing for a little wiggle room is important in some cases--maybe I won't make it to the water slides at 11 a.m. Maybe I'll be there "Around noon," which gives some forward and backward space. From there I can narrow it down the closer I get to the water park.

I try not to speak in absolutes. Mainly because I never know what will happen between now and then. I might have an idea, but no definite knowledge.
There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"
Sometimes I feel bad for the Devs. And not just because some people pick on them or have ridiculously high expectations that will never be met. But also because they obviously have a lot of knowledge about what is in store for this game and they can't talk about it with us, or publicly at all really. At at least 3 meet n greets or hero cons I've talked to Devs about upcoming stuff I'd love to see in the game, only to see it announced months later, obviously it was being worked on when I was talking to them about it. Were it me, It'd kill me to keep secrets like that, and I imagine I would hate speaking in generalities and vaguely about everything all the time.
So my question to the Devs: Do you guys just jump on every chance to speak in absolutes when you can when it doesn't relate to the game?
It seems like a silly question, maybe it is, but were I always holding stuff back, any time I had the chance to give information that wasn't secret, or I could speak definitively about something, I'd jump on it.

When are you going to the water slides. Tuesday, 11 AM to 2:34 PM then I'm grabbing a chili dog and 15 chili fries and a 18 oz soda with an additional 10 ozs of ice!
