My level 50 villain reaffirmed his evilness with this arc. So I'm guessing level 50. And yes, its all kinds of messed up, in a very good way.

EDIT: Also, iirc, the mission ends BEFORE it actually ends and you meet all your future selves, so stick around.
  2. Since I already had enough recharge for my target attack chain, I went with Musculature. Granted, I'm Kat/SR, so I have easy access to gobs of easy +Rech /WP might not have.

    Burn

Aye. At least for my Dark Melee/Fiery Aura Scrapper they run away. My Fire/Fire tank does not seem to have that problem.

    You use Hibernate.
    You are immune to damage.

    /g tanker: "Hls pls."

Random note: What is Hyper-Vengeance Bobcat's chance to hit against an Ice Tank? Both IOed to the nails, and Basic with Weave?
  5. iirc, feared foes can attack back, but only once every 5 seconds. So that is solid soft control.

Also, by rotating Total Domination and Mass Confusion you can reliably lock down hard more consistently than other sets (looking at you, Ice and Gravity).

And Mind excells at single target lockdown, with two hard control powers (Hold and Confuse) you can keep two bosses out of the fight relatively easy. This comes in handy.
  6. Anyone remember the days when people were saying similar things about the Psychic Clockwork King?
  7. Given all the VEATs, Shielders, Maneuvers, Dark Miasma, Steamy Mist, Force Fielders, and Empaths that are out there I'm not terribly concerned.

My Empath built for recharge with no defense bonuses whatsoever was running in the 30ish range at least. Anyone with actual defenses and a receiver of buffs will be higher.

Tanks aren't supposed to be unkillable, just a butload harder to kill than everyone else. And I'm pretty sure they still will be in i20.

Group of marketeer that formed a SG and buy their way to the top 1 position by converting inf to prestige. And if you've seen the silly conversion rates, you'll have an idea of how money they are destroying for kicks.

EDIT: I'd join, but I'm just not ebil enough to throw money away. All I got is probably 2 bills. . .
  9. Update: Went to pick the third one yesterday and #2 was also there. I believe they said it was a shipping hiccup. Their system said it had been sent, but they hadn't received it. But the comic book store followed through in tracking down what happened to the order and making sure it got into my pull.

So.. I guess I'm waiting for #4 now.

Personally, I'm a fan of this version.

    Future of CoX..

Most of my IOs are in the early 30 range. My tanks end up defense capped, and my doms perma dom 1, by then. Hardly useless, and I get to be awesome half my journey to 50. But yes, obtaining them is much difficult at these levels.
  12. The 'new legacy' team window is much better than the monstrousity that's been on test for a while. But it is more legacy-ish, than anything else. The new one is still fugly.

And when I select a teammate, I miss not having a frame around the selected character. . .
"Legacy" on left, new one on right. They both true scale on command. Which is nice.

  13. It is awesome. But it is so awesome that if you're not careful you'll end up killing yourself.

    True story.
  14. "Witness the color of will"

Could this mean they are preparing for the other colors as well?
  15. When radio/paper missions were the only thing around, it seemed most teams just ran that over and over again instead of contacts. The rewards were not better in any way whatsoever. Now with Tips, it seems most teams run those over and over. At least for these there's a very good prize at the end.

I do have to agree with the OP in that incentive-wise, there's very little reason to do normal story arcs.

But then again, given that most people are terrified of forming their own teams, it falls into the hands of the few people that actually make teams to chose what to run. And I normally run arcs with all the teams I put together.
  16. I clicked on the link in Q#2 and downloaded the file and try to run it. It pretty much destroyed my ability to play. The old shortcuts didn't work, and the file downloaded didn't run at all, and there was no new program installed anywhere...

I had to download the launcher that Zombie Man provided and downloaded the whole new installers. That seemed to work.

    The Batman

I take issue with the people here insulting The Brave and The Bold.
  18. I'm game with having them delay it if it meant we either got more options, or at least got some basic powersef combinations we could costume edit away into what works for us.

As it is, it will most likely end up unlocked, empty and unused by me. Unless of course there's a sideperk like level shift that I REALLY need and/or I have enough shards/threads to throw away.

But if other people dig it, that's fine with me. I don't have to like everything.
  19. I've written two novels, working on a third. First one sucked, so I just dropped it as a serial novel in blogspot.

Currently editing the second one, with plans to have a few trusted people give feedback on it.

After that, no idea what I'll be doing with it. As easy as publishing on Kindle to sell sounds, there's marketing to be done, otherwise people won't know about it. And this seems one thing most articles about this topic tend to not go into. And I'm not savy in that area, so I'm at a loss.
  20. You should request other marketeers/crafters here to send you their character file so you can add them as NPC/allies/enemies in the mission with snark remarks.

That's what I did with my arc.
  21. Thanks a lot. I used 0.97 for Smite, 1.93 for Siphon L, and 2.07 for Midnight per real numbers.

It seems I did everything right except factor in for Arcanatime, which seems to really make a dent with high quick animating attacks.

    Thanks.

Smite needs to recharge in 2.112 which is 184% recharge
SL needs to recharge in 4.82 which is 108% recharge
Quick question, how did you calculate these? Are these aracanatime?
  23. I did some lousy math and it turns out I need 211% recharge in Smite, 286% in Midnight Grasp, and 158% in Siphon Life.

Is this right? If so, what are the next tier chains? This seems a bit out of my commitment range.
  24. they were supposed to be on my pull, but issue 2 was marked as sent but never made it to the comic store. . . They said they'd give me a call when it got here.

    Sad Panda.
  25. It does open the question as to why its ok to alter some characters but not others. Nick Fury, Kingpin, and the Thor guy seems to be succesfully pulled of by black characters, but when it comes to certain iconics its all of a sudden "No!"
