Hi there
My MA Scrapper is MA/Elec and I wouldn't play anything else. I have resistance to recharge debuffs, slow, and endurance drains, I can sap endurance from enemies, I have a great heal with awesome secondary effects, good resists to all dmg but Toxic, and being slotted 2/3 of the way to the defense soft cap and with several of my attacks having double dmg procs in them, I do pretty damn good.
But I may be biased. /Elec is "pretty" to me, and my MA toon is kind of my alter-ego. -
MA/Inv/Weapons for Batman
MA/SR/Weapons for Batgirl
Tampon/Poo-poo/Smegma for Robin
Edit: I take that back. Poo-poo is more epic than Smegma, and Smegma would have more synergy with Tampon Assault or whatever.
Tampon Assault/Smegma Armor/Poo-poo mastery for Robin. -
Some of the replies in this thread are akin to a Burger King cashier explaining to you precisely, accurately and thoroughly why your hamburger is undercooked, and then saying 'Next!'

If we could color code the attacks of our created enemies like we can ours, if they had access to a few pool powers, and big dreamin' here, if we could IO our mobs, lol. And really big dreamin' here, if we could control the AI of the bosses and such, in the way you can control your allies in Dragon Age, for example.

Time subscribed = moar money for devs.
Personally, I think making the "IO'ed out" status easier to achieve would make money off of people's altitis, but some efficiency expert has advised against this, I'm sure. -
Yeah, you pretty much have to have your next attack already cued to catch it, but's it's fair IMO, as that high of a chance to crit is pretty nice. I use it with Dragon's Tail and often see a wide circle of 'CRITICAL' text rise. I also use it with Storm Kick since I *think* it stacks with a power's inherent crit chance and Storm Kick has 5% more of a chance. Not sure, Storm Kick just seems to crit a lot when preceded by Eagle's Claw.
Definitely a great idea on the devs' part, and a nice, welcome change to MA, imo. -
Not one, but four, FOUR cartels!
Anyway, thanks for the prozac, and the tip to hero stats. And the humor
All in my head... all in my head... all in my head... all in my head... -
I love this game, and having a blast, but this can just no longer be ignored. I'm posting this after a couple hours, yet again, of whiffing quite a bit with a "95% chance" to hit, while getting eat up by mobs with 55 - 60% chance to hit that hardly ever miss.
I'm all for this being a "perception" thing as some people are so quick to suggest when someone brings up an issue about the game, but I don't think that's the case. I seriously think these to hit rolls are railroaded and/or tampered with.
One of you forum cartel fanboi's give me some game prozac in the form of convoluted, math-laden jibberish to make me think it's all in my head, please.
Game on! -
I agree with the OP's sentiment. My poor DP toon can't dish it out OR take it. But looks cool trying, lol. I log my Dual Pistols toon in about once a week, earn a bubble or two, die horribly and pathetically, sigh, and then play something else for the rest of the week.

I hate the miss rate in this game and whine about it a lot. BUT I would whine less if I could have a neat missing animation when I missed. Like a classic 'ole Whiffarooni, stumbling over and spinning around, maybe even rolling an ankle. If it's real bad I fall down. But, nope. All I get is ...MISS...
:|
Hell, they could at LEAST give us a damn badge for so many effin' Streakbreakers. -
You know? With the AE building being almost completely empty 24/7, they could implement your suggestions and the 5 of us that still visit the AE building could at least have fun with our stories.

I first noticed something was a little "curious" with the accuracy system with my Kin Corr. I would swoop down to zap a gray to get Speed Boost and it would almost always miss. I found myself wishing I had the accuracy of the grays shooting back at with me with 5% and nailing me.
I can't claim that the percentage rolls are rigged or railroaded to go a certain way in certain situations - First attacks, killing blows and post Build Up seem to miss more but I haven't tested anything - but what I DO know is that a 5% chance to miss is a lot larger than it sounds. There have been more times than I care to think about where I bounced back and forth between Miss! and Streakbreaker for about 6 or 7 hits. That's aggravating. And makes one suspect things.
As super heroes, especially at levels 50 and such, we don't need to be whiffing against grays.
What I recommend is just to bump both numbers up 2 points or so. 97% chance at the high end and 7% chance at the low end. THAT is closer to the whimsical miss that's bound to happen every now and then, AND gives those pesky grays a little more hope. -
I just think it'd be neat to be able to make your bosses tougher and more interesting the more you work for it. Get enough Arch tickets and make yourself a big baddie to fight. Or make two and script in an awesome duel! Heck, I'd probably end up spending more time on my bosses than on my characters, heh. Anyway, dreaming again. If nothing else, I agree with the replies calling for an extra pool or two for status resistance and such.
-
Or at least give them pool powers. It'd be a cool way for everyone to make their boss(es) a little different from everyone else. Hell, I'd spend massive Architect tickets on such a thing.
Just dreaming out loud here. Peace. -
I'll never do another Gold roll. Total rip off. I've been effed 6 times in a row.

Anyone got an image, gif, clip or good description of what Mu Bolts looks like? Just keeping some things in mind for future reference. Thanks!

PvP is just about the only content that can't be finished over a three day weekend.

Well, keep in mind if you walk down the street you live on IRL causing havoc the military and the police are gonna come "crushing down" on it as well. Yet, there's still a lot of crooked things going on out there right now. Your character could be seeing the calm before the storm, or officially be keen to a wide-spread and very successful blanket of false security cast over the public while insidious plans are being hatched. Everywhere he looks he sees details of it's implementation, big and small. From the flow of traffic through a city to the design of fast food logos. All of it meant to lull the public to sleep. But there's no face to put on this perceived threat. And when there is, it'll be too late. A Jacob's Ladder kind of thing, maybe.

I think this is yet another great move by NCSoft. I'm all for it.

Awesome idea. I wouldn't mind it if ALL the powers could be made like this. Complete customized powers. PvP haters be d*mned.
