Hmmmm.... I think Cecil Verde and Brutus are good names for plants.
-
I wouldn't.

If by that, you mean with regard to defense bonuses granted via IOs... then I hope you are right. Perhaps i19 will provide an overall nerf to the IO system. I can dream, can't I?

Quote:Crabspider downside?Damn, you're right. Zoning does add the backpack back. Man, and I was all excited too, thinking I had discovered the answer to the Crab Spiders downside.
If you don't like the pack then go with a Huntsman or a Bane. "Problem" solved. If you want a Crab, then you need to BE a crab and have the pack. I see no issue. -
Meh, no one needs puples anyway. So the prices are irrelevant.

First after Steelclaw!
(But seriously, quite funny as always!!) -
Soooo, with regards to the AE Arc... I hope you folks like fightin' EBs and such. There are a good number of them.

Quote:Now, THAT'S art!Actually, for me, I've found these interpretations of the Princess interesting...
Thank you for the time... -
It is great to hear of your "re-birth" as it were, Nick! I am excited to meet your new character and integrate him into the team. With luck, he will be able to join us for the arc in which we finally are able to get a little payback rolling in to those who have wronged us along the way... and have a chance to maybe introduce a new charac— oh wait, I can't tell you that yet, it's a secret. Shhhhhh!
Also I want to thank Nyrissa for getting this fantastic ball rolling and helping us to start having as much fun as we all have been having. I can't imagine a better group to do my first (successful) RP SG with!
On a mostly unrelated note, I think we should take a few minutes just before we run the AE mission this Thursday (don't worry about being a touch late Ny, it's cool) to meet up in Icon and make sure we all have the new looks taken care of. I can be a bit OCD when it comes to things like that, so I apologize in advance if I nitpick.
Oh! And I think Phoenix/Nick has a great idea that we take the time to meet up in the base for a bit of "pre-game RP" to set the stage for the evening. I think the most fun I have had is when we have had a chance to do a meeting like with Amira the one evening or when some real character driven stuff happens. -
See.... I am overjoyed that Stamina is going inherent, underwhelmed that Health is too and just plain annoyed that Swift AND Hurdle come with the package too.
I don't want all of my characters to be over-fast kangaroos.

Quote:That is a great idea for a powerset, and should have it's own thread... since that idea has no relation whatsoever to the original topic of this thread. That's why I say lets put another power behind it, call it Kinetic grappling, Where the foe is lifted up like telekinesis, or singularity, then place them inside a energy bubble then slam them into the ground. I think it is possible, if we in-cooperate other power elements I think I'll right a lore for Kinetic Grappling where you wrap your enemies in a ball of energy and then slam them into the ground I think that would fix the problem with Rikti, monkeys, and Zeus from Malta.
And, Telekinetic Combat is a better name, methinks. -
Quote:Do you seriously think that the people who make those posts LOOK at anything before they post them? This is a pointless thread that does nothing, and is pointless.QFT... I just want to alleviate some of them by removing the one liner threads that pop up asking "Hey whats the best farmer? duh... I can't think for myself..."

So... what would a Stalker who can solo an AV look like? Have folks actually done it, or was that a statement from theory, Silverado?
-
Jason (aka Nox) got pretty sick on Tuesday, his day off... the day we had set aside to finish the arc... and so we couldn't do it. I hate to continue to string folks along, but it isn't done again. So sorry.

As a result, we may want to decide to postpone the costume change.
-
Far and away: Option 1. I would simply adapt, if the change is a bit... more than just a retooling.
-
It's crazy easy to get in... just select the Neighborhood indicator and the map will point you to the entrance door. Now... getting out, does not work like that. Selecting an exterior point is no help. However, when looking at the map from above:

The arrow indicates where you can get out.... IIRC. -
Quote:Yet another good reason to play on smaller servers.I see a lot of complaints about name availability, especially on the larger servers. I don't think anyone likes using periods and increasingly odd punctuation to have a name, and I doubt people like seeing it.
And no one HAS to use periods or numberals in their names, they just have to grow some creativity.
And I hate seeing that. In fact, I will pass over people with such names in favor of those that are creative and spelled correctly. I can't say for sure, but it seems to have an impact on the quality of PUGs I run. -
Quote:If Swift AND Hurdle come with the deal, that makes Ninja Run even more viable as travel power. That frees up another 2 slots in the 1-14 journey.Grrrrr, exactly why I don't want Swift AND Hurdle to be inherents.... it makes no sense whatsoever!Quote:As I mentioned in a scrapper thread, since they also improved Sprint w/I18, you're looking at a run speed of almost 60MPH at lvl 4 (assuming they don't stagger the Fitness inherents and you get Swift/Hurdle by then) w/a decent vertical to boot. Then just buy a raptor pack (can't in Praetoria atm, right?) and your travel needs are done and over with. On half of my controllers, I'm keeping SS as a travel power only for the stealth component (no need w/Steamy Mist, etc).
-
I just realized a factor that could have motivated making Fitness inherent: No one can ever take Stamina in Praetoria until they are about to leave... and in so doing, they would be skipping powers for pre-reqs that (new players) would never have seen before.
Maybe?
Also, has anyone asked if Swift and Hurdle will go inherent too? I hope not, I don't want all of my characters to be crazy fast kangaroos.

Quote:First... it's a character, not a toon. Toons are on television. So I ask, what is the newest best type of toon to make before I waste time and inf on a toon that will suck!!!
Second... there is no such thing as a character that sucks (unless you TRY to make it suck taking as many Travel Powers as you can). All characters are viable in their own right and have mechanics you can leverage to have fun. Or, have a good concept, that helps too. -
See, and I thought it meant that it was a Defender (that means using the primary) that actually uses and EMBRACES their secondary, going for offense when in doubt. Someone who would play a Kinetics or a Rad but prolly not an Empath because it won't boost THEIR damage output... most of the powers are other targeted.
-
Quote:And there is precedent for this in Praetoria... for example one mission will send a lvl 41 Anti-Matter atcha if you are slow... and that is when you are as low as, what?, 15ish?While we're way past character level being any real indicator of power, I don't think the devs want to portray level 5-9 characters as being able to take on the Praetors.
Right, he couldn't possibly have been using your post as an example of a larger and more general problem that annoys him. Nope, too logical.Quote:So you're talking about the problem, in the general sense, is *my* character.
Yeah....if it was so general, there would be no need to quote me >_>
Of course, if he sees you included in that general group... well then you still would be annoying him and have a right to get all defensive (oh... too late).
