Any chance of posting the build? I am wanting to give plants a run and wondering if it should be a 'troller or a dominator. It seems plant/storm might be the tops when using plant.

Yeah, getting killed by a rock is pretty silly, but do you really have to be so invincible that nothing in the game is ever a threat to you again? That just.....doesn't sound like much fun.

I know Sam's answer already, but how long could you sit and play Doom on godmode before you shut the game off? For me, it was about 20 minutes.

The devs are hopelessly screwed here. If they make things easier, people complain because there's no challenge. If they make things harder, people complain because their demigod (gasp!) lost a fight (oh noes!)

From what I've read, there's a simple solution to this: Do the damn trial the way you're supposed to do it instead of ignoring an entire aspect of it and you won't be getting killed by rocks. Seems to me like the devs are getting sneakier in their getting you to not ignore things in content. It's like "Okay, fine, you want to completely ignore this part of the trial so you can speed run it? Now you'll get killed by a rock to the head."

Yep. I have to agree with the theme of most posts - the TPN is sketchy. I don't really enjoy it and the premise if far less than epic. We are trying to stop negative publicity etc and this will earn us our god powers. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. THEN on top of that, we're getting whooped by citizens with rocks and fire bombs?? I really don't know who comes up the story and ideas but it sucks. Instead of citizens they should have had something a bit more significant; perhaps Praetorian citizens are all superpowered and we can only defeat them when we're level 1-20? Whoever designed the ITF should be doing the trial ideas/content.

TPN, BAF, Lambda and KEYES trials really don't feel like we're doing anything epic and world saving. We're stopping the lower level stuff...it seems like we're at the foundation of a master plan and we're stopping that plan from becoming a reality. Honestly, these should have been non-incarnate content because there isn't too much epic stuff here. Trials should be the actual event where we're saving the world or something like that.

I also don't get why Maelstrom is so difficult now but was a wuss in tip missions. Did primal Earth's yellow sun sap his powers? He can only be super in Praetoria? Does he wear a big 'S' under his chest plate?

Anyway, some of the trials are good fun but most of the story, theme, content, canon or what have you is underwhelming.
  3. Impossible to know what they regret but here are some areas they may not be too happy with.

    1) Praetoria zones. They look awesome but they separate the players yet again. Those areas are rarely used. The resources used for those zones should have gone into new missions maps and TFs etc.

    2) Older TFs/SFs. They just suck especially blue side.

    3) Map designs. I don't think I have seen a more odd looking city. Just some brutal layouts in the city and buildings. Offices are just illogical by way of design.

    4) Dividing playerbase in any manner.

    5) PvP

    6) Repetition of content and low quality content (lots of filler missions that are not fun).

    Mostly minor issues but issues.
  4. I also didn't like this early reveal. Poor idea but I can see how the studio would hope to create a buzz over the event and get some hype. Ah well.

States was beyond cheezy and almost a cliche. He was also Jack's alter ego. Good riddance to both. This game has enough fromage.

I hope the STF isn't removed. It is one of the TFs I don't mind. The earlier TFs really suck so don't don't away one of the decent ones.

I really agree here. I also wish the devs would survey the players more and seek guidance in the direction this game takes. I don't mean allow us to dictate but more for feedback and ideas. If that had been done then maybe the dev resources could have been better used. We could have improved some of the trials, the new tfs (Sutter and the other one for the red side - don't even rem. the name. It is quite forgettable) and maybe they would have realized having a new starting area (Praetoria) would have been a waste (it looks great and all but isolated the players was a poor idea). I wish they realized having too many zones and not allowing free movement to various areas was a bad idea (thank goodness for side switching. No idea what they were thinking with Praetoria).

Specifics, please. Don't be a square.
Good idea. Hopefully the devs are monitoring this.

I know there are tons of missions where we fight a named boss but he just looks like the rest of the mob. Very underwhelming. How about more unique bosses and unique enemies? I would suggest littering the game with various battles against unique boss and minions - like one shots. It shouldn't be too difficult to make unique looks on the characters add them. Papers, scanners could use a lot more interesting stuff.

Also, you can make more epic adventures for us than for the money like we see so often in tip missions (vills) and get artifacts etc (heroes). Let your imagination go wild. These 'one shots' could allow a departure from the usual stuff we see and the canon.

    Winter Event???

The dev to player communication about these types of things isn't really the best
  8. I kinda agree with more superhero stuff for the game. The costumes are ok and would love to see less D&D stuff added (or fantasy etc). I would love to see more superhero missions of epic proportion.

Most missions are pretty low key where we battle mobs of the same old enemies. We seem to have some magic users, mutated street thugs, various militia, some other mutates and so on. Let's see some epic stories; the iTrials are great ideas but most of the stories/themes don't make me feel like I am doing something so critical/epic that I am earning experience to have these incarnate powers.

While we level up our toons, most missions are mediocre, chase after kidnapper, or get the painting or other stuff that isn't so amazing. Give us some real superhero-like enemies (Praetoria is just not cutting it). Maybe one epic villain who we can stop from taking over the world in an epic mish. I know we have something along those lines but so many missions are build ups that lead, or may lead, to a big climax. How about give it to us all right then and there; allow us to take on a group of super enemies and not just mobs of minions - we have a lot of that.

I have to agree with the posts saying this game doesn't really feel superhero-ish.

How many sets (KC X 4 I guess) of Kinetic Combats did you have to use to achieve 45%? I am wanting to skip crushing blow.

Also, did you have to take the Body epic pool to mitigate END issues?

I have a TW/Elec brute and just started it. I need MIDS!
  10. Still undecided about getting TW. It looks enticing but the real issue is once you get it, then what? It is the same old content on the ride from 1-50. Not much new stuff for that trip. It is a bit of a grind with a set that is END heavy; it will likely be a struggle/grindfest.
  11. So has anyone made one of these at all? Anyone able to add some feedback to my last post?
  12. I'm kinda hoping they really stop selling power sets after the next batch. I am betting they made some good money. I'd really like to see fun, new, DIFFERENT things to do with the power sets. The trial format is a lot of fun. I'm hoping there is something else coming in i23 or sooner.
  13. Yeah that's what I kinda thought about fire and elec. I just wanted to make sure. I think I am going elec on my brute; I've never tried elec armor before so why not. It seems a bit more sturdy and the slight damage difference isn't a big deal. I like the reduced clicks, END mitigation etc.

I will make both builds in MIDS and then reach my final decision!
  14. I am wanting to do elec or fire on my brute. It seems elec is better? It seems to have pretty much what fire has and an END mitigation. What am I missing here?

    *Kanye shrug* Idk...
Yes, they are EASIER but the Keyes is just no fun at all. I don't mind the UG but it is a tad long; it also involves too many chances to completely fail.

If you spend a ton of time forming a league and can so easily fail it....it really kills the joy.
  16. Yeah this suggestion has been done to death but for good reason. I am in full support of this. Synapse, Manticore, Citadel, Psyche....they all need to be done all over. They are horrid. I'm almost a 4 yr. player and I have done Synapse maybe 3 times. I am surprised they don't get to this in a much quicker manner - there are way more lower level toons than level 50 toons.
  17. Great ideas. Would love to see some of these options for arms. We have the 1 or 2 or 3 option for upper body, upper arms. Love to see some of this stuff.
  18. I think it might be cool to get some missions, arcs, TFs, trials etc that are completely independent of the current canon. Something fresh and new that we don't experience in other areas. Even if it is just skinning characters and making them unique and providing us with some different stories. I really can't be bothered to follow all angles of all arcs. Have more of these one-shot type adventures.

Also, too much of one thing is not good! Stop with the Praetorian overload!
  19. Props to the devs for taking our feedback. Keyes sucks and the UG is just annoying. No need to add more to the pile.

I hope we get some iTrials that DON'T involve Praetoria. If there is a god, this will happen! I am praying for it...nightly...don't worry fellow CoXers, I'm on it!
  20. How about sell the costume pieces like you sell the other costume pack - bundle or pieces. Also, I would really suggest lowering prices on your costume bundles - $5 for 12 pieces is a joke (Halloween and CoT packs).
  21. I like the influx of new people. Although it'd be nice to have better teaming channels per server for ALL of us to use. Seriously.

I really think more polls should be taken of the players. An alert when you log in asking people to give input on the site would be cool. I think there is a real disconnect over what we want and what the devs put out. So, instead of asking us what we think about something when it's 95% complete, why not ask us before you start it?!?! I honestly think if you asked us: hey would you like the new expansion box to include a new starting world with 3 new zones - I am sure a lot of people would have said no. However, we did not get this and Praetoria is, pretty much, a ghost town. This is one example of how the game could have better content if some initial feedback was obtained.

So, good on you guys for getting the idea of a retro space pack from the players. A SMALL step in the right direction.

  23. Pretty much no interest in the gun slinger costumer pack or whatever it is. My fave part of the game is the costume creation. The theme of this pack didn't interest me but for $5 I figured I would look at it. After seeing how you can't color is as much as I would like and some tint issues...no thanks.

The pre-tint thing has rendered the Ascension stuff all but useless on many toons (for me). Also the CoT set...you can't match all pieces...the kilt is a different tint than the chest and legs stuff. Also the Halloween pack....the fish/mer boots and gloves are completely useless for me due to their different tint. They don't work on the few toons I have that could use them.

I really hope this issue is resolved in the near future. It seems I am starting to say no more and more to these pieces. Sad but true.

Well, if you don't offer any feedback or suggestions maybe they can read your mind and then add your desired items to the game. Yeah, that's it!

I love how I put out what I want then get jumped for it by some. It is really priceless It is a good chuckle and then some. I really don't get it. You don't like my ideas then oh well Maybe post your own so the devs know what we'd like? Hmmmmmmm...
