The same activities he always is looking for every time he cycles through this post after he finishes a project: To be the best.
Required reading
On topic it's ss/fire. It really is. -

Leaves me with another mystery, though. Why does Chrome eat code block parenthesis at random on me? It's not every time, but often I have to go back and edit the post and manually add a few in, especially in quote blocks.
And on topic when I clicked on the 'ok' with one of my free accounts it crashed the game. Or at least, the game crashed after I'd clicked ok. Hell of a button. -

How did you manage to post a blank message? -
Perhaps not as intricate as previous offerings, but I liked it.

Willpower. If I don't have a specific armor set in mind when I come up with a concept it invariably becomes willpower. It has its flaws as a set, especially on SOs where I spend 95% of a characters career, but the 'set it and forget it' playstyle more than makes up for it for me.
-
Only if you play content that uses them. I don't run itrials very often. That said, as said I build them as components drop. Just because I don't use it often doesn't mean it won't at some point be useful. But in the things I like to do (ITF, tips, paper missions) the other three powers see far more use.

It's actually pretty close to the truth. The only other AT that doesn't have a strong defensive primary or secondary at the moment as an *option* is Dominator... and for them if domination is up being mezzed doesn't stop everything higher than your t1 and t2 attacks.

1) Alpha
2) Interface
3) Judgement
I don't really use the other two, though I'll build them as I get parts for them. -
Quote:WW's had some good writers... but most don't stay particularly long. While that's never been good for the book, I think 'historically' there's been a bigger problem:I've not been following this book, but I thought I'd tell you that I enjoyed your post and understand where you're coming from.
I feel for you and the fans with similar tastes.
Also, I find it a real shame if it is true that Wonder Woman hasn't had good fortune with creative teams (and it is not like this is the first time I've heard this, at all).
It seems crazy to me that she wouldn't be a real draw for some of the best writers... do it right and you could really have a winner on your hands. That's how I see it, anyway.
I think there's a wide audience for such a character... done well. Beyond your average comicbook readers. And I don't think going darkity grit grit would be the way to go.
But hey... I've always been one who believes that there is a sure lack of talent out there (hey, amazing talent is a rare commodity - in each field, at least)... and a deluge of mediocrity.
The amazon will persevere.
I've always gotten the impression that the general population has always liked the concept of Wonder Woman more than the story of Wonder Woman. As usual when I want an uninterested in comic (but not hostile towards) person's opinion I asked my girlfriend what she knew about her and what she liked.
She knew that WW was a superhero, had a lasso, was an american (like Captain America, because of her flag bikini bottoms), and had a tv show. She liked that she's a woman.
When I gave her a one paragraph synopsis of two of her origin stories (the formed of clay vs daughter of Zeus) she prefered the daughter of zeus. The clay thing just didn't make any kind of sense to her. Neither did the amazon thing. That... kind of kills any chance of being a new reader, and I think it's probably not an uncommon reaction for new readers. I'm pretty sure that's why each new writer takes things in a 'Bold New Direction'.
Which kind of makes me wonder how WW got to be an icon. I guess being the 'first' female superhero carries some pull.
My complaint about the current series is that so far WW's almost been a supporting character in her own book. -
Quote:In most other MMO a DPS that could bring all that extra to the table would get you a resounding 'yes!' when compared to others who didn't.Oh! My MA/SD Scrapper has the Leadership pool, Grant Cover, Aid Other and Resuscitate as well as the teleportation pool, including Recall Friend. Does that make my Scrapper better than others?
Fortunately (or un, depending on your preferences), this is City so all it gets you is a 'sounds handy'. -
Very nicely done. I didn't even realize it was a fan trailer until I read the description afterwards.

The costume parts are awesome.
I am buying at least one of those rocket pack styles day one. Perhaps the helmet too. -
My girlfriend and I got a laugh out of it and neither of us have heard of the source material - so if nothing else the trailer has brought awareness that it IS based on something to two more people.
I'll probably watch it before thinking about checking out said source material so I don't have to worry about being outraged at the adaptation.
I'd be seriously surprised if the Lone Ranger remake was anything but Zapp Brannigan and Kiff from Futurama in the wild west. -

I still think the hype for issue 5 was perhaps because they either became aware of a leak on staff or the assets for the issue went in before the story did and they were sure someone would notice.
Either way it would be preferable to 'spoil' it on their own terms to keep the hype they wanted going before a pig-diver or squealer posted on non-official forums who died and it got passed around as common knowledge. -
I guess aliens don't have a sense of sarcastic humor.
It's a satirical song written specifically about the perceptions among the playerbase about the Kheldian AT. It's what he does.
Plus, you're just jealous your logo isn't made of gold -
Remember that prior to the new difficulty slider and inventions these were roughly the settings you could choose from:
+0/x0
+0/x2
+1
+1/x2
+2
Soloing, in particular, there wasn't a brute set out there that couldn't handle that - until the high end game, where things like Arachnos, Carnies, and Malta destroyed you (many were the threads about how Invulnerability was the weakest brute armor, aside from energy aura of course).
This is all still true. On SOs, on those difficulty settings, the game is no different now than it's ever been.
Back then if you wanted to tank for a team as a brute you needed support. The idea of running into a x8 group and living was ludicrous unless it was Council and you were Inv or Mu and you were Elec.
I bring this up because that core still exists. That core experience is where the devs balance the game around.
That core is found wanting when you start tweaking the diff settings solo.
Without a team you have to make up for not having a team - and healing doesn't cut it, as nothing you can do could ever replace the efficiency of a /thermal using its single target heal on you every 5 seconds if needed*. That leaves resistance, which is not really self buffable (and again is no match for team resistance buff numbers).
Which finally leaves defense ... which, due to the way attack rolls work and some serious short sightedness on the dev team's part when designing invention sets, magically IS self buffable to the point where it's like you're on a team (the buff numbers don't match up, of course, but they don't need to because of the soft cap)
Without defense you still will be competitive in today's game as long as you respect the limits of what the armor sets are designed to take solo. And solo is the only place you'll notice those limits provided you get on a team with any support at all. I have a /regen scrapper with little defense and he does fine on teams and trials as long as he doesn't do something stupid like run off and try and solo crates in Lambda. That's a job for someone who does build for defense. It is 'Not Intended Behavior'. It is also stupidly slow: sticking with the team and protecting the DPS would wipe out said crate in a third the time.
Edit 1: I have a point, but I can't recall what it is through my fever
Edit 2: Ah ha! -
Title fixed to reflect change of thread direction.

What I don't get is why people are noticing now. Stalkers have had the highest chance to crit (even out of hide) since their last buff.

Quote:Not really. They both demand attention that many people don't want demanded. States-Eunuch draws attention because something you're expecting isn't there. The spacesuit grabbed attention because it was too prominent (not over-sized in particular, just too noticeable). This whole bulgegate scandal is kinda weird coming right after the flatgate scandal over the new log-in screen.
The key is to find the neutral ground where the eye acknowledges and dismisses the anatomy unless the viewer wishes to spend more time examining it.
