Unless it goes outside the quotation marks, as I believe it should in British (and likely Canadian) punctuation if the punctuation is not part of the quoted phrase.

Agreed. It would be nice if it got an indicator like fires in Steel Canyon or Banners wherever they spawn.

I'm obviously aware that they cannot. That knowledge is inherent in the thread title alone, which does not ask whether they can, but rather if it's intended that they cannot. The restriction seems odd (especially since they can apparently deal with base construction), as it's a relatively basic function of being in a supergroup, which Premiums can do at Tier 2. And given that as far as I have seen it's not implicitly mentioned as a restriction, I'm curious whether it's intended. It could be a bug, or it might be a necessary technical limitation, or it might simply be intentional. If you're aware of a relevant official answer or statement, then by all means share the source. In the meantime, on the off chance that it *is* a bug it should be brought to their attention, hence the thread.

Premiums can apparently deal with base construction, if the supergroup is already base-capable.
  5. Seems like they should be able to if they're at least Tier 2 and able to join Supergroups.

You can't complain about going from getting nothing for nothing to getting something for nothing and expect much in the way of sympathy. Especially when the complaint is presented in the vein of 'that's the final straw!' gauntlet-hurling melodrama.

For what it's worth, it does seem like a somewhat pointless restriction to me, but for all I know there are technical reasons for it.
  7. Yeah, a friend of mine popped in Premium-style the other day and I had to join his SG with a character to pay his base upkeep for him. Of course, a few days earlier he couldn't access *anything* without subscribing so he was wise enough to not complain about it.
  8. Oh, Robin, and his infatuation with certain words and prefixes. I think the root word in this case is "straught" rather than "traught", though. With the "di-" variant of "dis-" being used.
  9. 20 still feels like the real level 1 to me. I've always said that everything before that felt like an extended tutorial... of course, now there's an actual extended tutorial arc that spans those levels...

There may not *be* an AT/powerset combo that can cure your wavering attention.

There would actually be a dual-emitter, one would be the Mass Approximating Coalescent Electrogravitron (or MACE) which creates an Electrogravitic field that, as the name suggests, approximates mass. This mass could be variable, even increased mid-swing, making the weapon light to carry but heavy on impact.

The Electrogravitic field would need to be contained within a monomolecular shell with similar durability to the Vanguard shield, of course.

Indeed. There are numerous neutral faces, and even a couple of grinning/smirking faces.

Indeed. Some people are happy with a cheese pizza. I prefer a pizza with seven kinds of meat on it. I typically have to pay more to make myself happy, settle for a cheese pizza, or forego pizza altogether. And I imagine that's where you're going with this, relatively speaking.

  16. I like the sounds just fine. There aren't many sounds in the game that bother me (taunt, perhaps). Of course, I also realised early on that the options menu had a volume setting and that the game in general was annoyingly noisy at max level. So I tend to play at 10-25% volume, where all the sounds are audible without being gratingly loud. The fact that the sounds are as loud as they are at the low level I have the volume set makes me wonder if the sound designer(s) for the game are half-deaf.
  17. Most of my characters use SOs. Of the ones that don't stick solely to SOs, only one of them is built with specific IO set goals in mind (and at the time he was built, I found the market much saner to cope with). The rest may have sets on a lark, or in one or two instances to protect from Knockback, but in most cases they're just using Basic IOs (which I have slotted at about SO level effectiveness) and I could easily shift to SOs on them without looking back.

I also tend to avoid Tough and Weave (and Tankers are one of my favourite ATs).
  18. It was so much cooler when ShoNuff posted it.

    But, then, aren't most things?
  19. I don't have a pull list. I didn't even have one back when I still bought comics on a sort-of-regular basis. I think the last series I was collecting a couple of years back was JSA. There was a point when that began to disappoint and I have yet to be exposed to a series since that grabbed my interest enough to purchase it. And even if I found such a series I think I might wait until a collected version came out.

And I wish there was less preforming going on for the iTrials. I much prefer just queuing up and going, as it's highly convenient when it works like that. Players make the LFG system a great deal less useful at 50.

You are automatically placed in a group that you don't have to micromanage invitations.

The LFG system is there for a reason. Use it! Encourage other people to use it!

I understand pre-forming for iTrials, which can easily be failed without a small amount of balancing. I *don't* understand pre-forming for DfB, which pretty much can't be failed.

/b Queuing Death from Below, a fun lowbie experience with tons of XP - click "LFG" on your chat bar and queue up!
Hear! Hear! The LFG feature could be so wonderfully useful if people would just use it.

I agree. Indeed, I believe I suggested such during open beta - that the giant Shivan fight could explain and require use of the LFG feature to enter it. The player response was that such was unnecessary because some aimless NPC near Atlas' statue mentions it if you happen to walk near enough to it and notice the NPC chatter.
