Quote:My preference for melee sets can be largely attributed to the sets they can be paired with. If I could have Archery or Dual Pistols with Super Reflexes or Ninjitsu, I would. Dark Blast with Dark Armor? I'd totally be there. Ice Control with Ice Armor? Yes, please. Dominator Assault-type sets with various armors would be even more appropriate.More players want to get up close and personal with their enemies and deliver either Justice or Evil with their own two hands.
Essentially, I like my superheroes to be durable, and tankers barely give me the durability I crave sometimes. I like damage, support, and controls to varying degrees and have characters in those areas, but durability tends to be my primary concern and the lack of it ultimately tends to frustrate me. -

"You gave us hats, but why can't we have different hairstyles with them - I don't care if they clip" hasn't stopped the flow of hats.

Increasing the level cap in a conventional fashion is unlikely to happen. Though, personally, I would have preferred they went that way to pseudo-increasing the cap in an annoyingly limited fashion and sticking it behind bothersome crafting hoops.

I'm not sure even I would call them "hard". I find them very tedious, dull, and annoying. And, as someone else pointed out, at least part of that dull, annoying tedium is the pre-iTrial portion.

Ever drive a stick shift? You have to manage a steering wheel, a turn signal, and the gearshift all while managing three pedals with two feet. Not to mention the extraneous things like headlights, heating/AC, radio, windshield wipers, cellphone, coffee, and breakfast one might be juggling at the same time.
With the controller/keyboard/mouse setup the keyboard should only be necessary for chat, and the mouse for clicking interactable objects. I can map the mouse to one of my joysticks so I luckily get to ignore it. -
I once tried to play it with a keyboard and mouse. It was painful. I find a controller far more suitable. Which has been my experience with nearly every MMORPG I've played, actually.
A handheld is just a portable video game console. -
There's only one particular plot point I'd like changed. To specify more than I have would be a major spoiler, and while those don't bother me I do try to be respectful of others within reasonable limits.

Quote:Indeed. It's not to say that a quiver which had my actual bow attached to it when said bow wasn't drawn wouldn't be neat. Or if it had graphical representations of each of the Trick Arrows which were currently recharged sticking out of it that likewise wouldn't be awesome. But I'd be perfectly happy with a non-interactive costume piece - with perhaps a couple of design choices, of course. What people?
As regards quivers, I've never heard anyone specifically demand dynamic quivers or bust. And I know I've never asked for dynamic quivers, or ever even thought about it.
All I have ever wanted is just a static backpack object that looks like a quiver, with a bunch of fake arrows sticking out of it. This isn't me saying, "I'd settle for that." What I mean is, this is all I want. I just want a costume piece.
I love you Paragon Studios but you're over-thinking this one.

Some would say I tend to lean heavily towards the give-everything-to-everyone-for-nothing point of view, and yet even I think that what is currently given to Freemiums is more than fair. Indeed, as someone upthread stated, perhaps they give away just a bit too much.
The temporary free-sample type idea doesn't sound bad, though. -
I really liked Death Note until about the middle of the series. Then something happened that made me completely lose interest. If a film version carried the story out to its conclusion without that event, I would certainly be interested in seeing it.
-
Possibly. Black, white, purple, and green? The apparent black could just be dark purple, though.
Not that the number of colours should necessarily matter. Personally, while I'd change a thing or two about the costume I like the overall design. -

I may find it more watchable than the anime, if for no other reason than it would end in relatively short order.

Quote:I'd say that it isn't. Doing the non-iTrial Incarnate content with an 8 man team (or equivalent thereof) should ideally have a comparable advancement rate as doing the iTrials, IMO. At worst I'd say it should take about 3 times as long. What's a fair shake? It's an MMO. CoH has seemed nothing but fair in the soloist department.
A couple days of grinding versus 16 days grinding solo. That isn't fair?
In other news, Captain Electric's allegiance apparently comes cheap. All it takes, apparently, is a bland Poser-like rendition of him.

I'm not sure I can get excited about it.

Quote:I'm actually fine with it being all about the Freedom Phalanx, but I think it would've been more appropriate if we were playing *as* a member of the Freedom Phalanx (for at least *some* of the arcs, anyway). In some instances, at least, I think that would've allowed some of the missions to feel less 'shoehorned'. And it's more what I would expect from a Signature Story Arc about Signature characters. It becomes an interactive comic book of sorts.Okay maybe I am missing something here, but I am really not getting all the people that are not happy about the whole SSA about the Freedom Phalanx not being about us (player). I mean it's about them, if anything to me this comes off more of a set up to change the way things are, and the part we play as a Hero/Villain is the thing of being able to say "yeah I was there, I saw when it went down".
I mean a lot of people say they want it to be all about the player, looks to me like it is being set up that way, yeah not in THIS story but you have to have a start somewhere right? -
-
If I have time and energy to devote to playing, I play whichever characters strike my fancy. I rarely plan these things out - they happen as they happen.
I think the last few times I barely played, if at all. -
Being able to face down archvillains and/or global threats by one's self on a regular basis. And rarely ever being threatened by their nameless minions (regardless of any elevated status said nameless minions have).

Quote:It makes the calves thicker. It makes the midriff thicker. It even makes the arms slightly thicker. And it makes the feet longer for some reason. But it doesn't make the "legs" thicker, it makes the thighs thicker, but leaves the calves, ankles and feet still small, making a larger woman's leg look like sausage funnels, at least to me. That's why I usually use larger boots on any female character that I give a high physique slider value.
And I really don't believe it makes the midriff much thicker, or at least I haven't noticed it doing that. If anything, it makes the midriff look narrower by comparison to the semi-trailer butt of higher values, meaning that I then have to up the waist slider to kingdom come just so the woman in question doesn't look like she's made of two separate people.
More control and wider range would be appreciated, certainly. -
I don't care for this art style, but I found the movie to be pretty good overall.
