Honestly, bugs on bugs gets irritating. Tend not to notice too much on my gun spider, as im too busy cackling about the mass of AoE damage. Bane has not yet been hit by any mace bugs...

Wish they'd sort out the fact that specific builds still leave the backpack. They managed to get SG costumes/colours to lock, couldnt they try and employ and extend that to help with that one? -shrug-

Bit of care before you hit the pay button makes this unnecessary.

That would be fine if what we saw in the costume designer bore more relevance to what we actually get when we've accepted the change.

Looks very tricky to me and while it seems interesting at first glance. Once the novelty wears of, I doubt it would be a feature that people would really use.

A bit like the kiosk feature. Anybody noticed that it is not working anymore?

    The what feature?

  6. Or simply leave it as it is?
There are very few holds that do lots of damage. The one I can think of right awat is the Warshade one, which is a melee range attack, and thus involves some risk.

With a standard ranged hold, the point isnt really damage. The point is to leave your opponent stood like a lemon while you rain down fire and brimstone, thunder and lightning and gods own divine fury upon his pitiful little hide, leaving nothing but oblivion where he stood!
    ...
    *ahem*
Yeah, anyway, Hold = free shots at an enemy. Ergo, no need for added damage.

Thats the logical side. Unlogical; Damage plz! -drags out the railguns-
  7. Heh, fashion. e.g. paying some nonce a fortune for a costume you would never be seen in, dead or alive, but you just paid a godawful ammount for it, so...

I dunno what it is I (personally) dont quite like about the models. Maybe its the overly prominant muscle/bone scructures? Only on really beefy females do you see it like that. Ni is tough, but shes slim...maybe it should be smoother?

Still, its 3D and its functional. Better than I could do, much to my chagrin. =[

    Fix PvP

    [ QUOTE ]
no offense TG but sthu, I know ur a well respected PvPer and i know u think ur gods gift etc... but even if its broke its still there and we still have to deal with it... and that is all about adaptation.

    Either

    A) Adapt and try to enjoy it, and "constructively" critisise in a way that is benificial to the PvP community, and maybe will get through to the Devs
    B) Keep moaning and incestantly complaining in that way and Castle and the likes of will never listen.

    [/ QUOTE ]

They don't seem to listen anyway. Im starting to tire of trying the patient and polite approach.
My one hope is Avatea, who actually seems to listen, comment and may well be putting this to the Devs. I hope.
But SOMETHING needs to be done. If it takes someone crashing the forums to make them notice and, even to re-roll it to pre-I13, then I, someone who didnt PvP all the time before, would say it would be worth it. Cos it was more fun.

    Fix PvP

    [ QUOTE ]
Tbh I don't think PvP is going to be fixed. In my opinion, devs have found a goldmine with the merit thingie. See, Positron TF, Synapse TF, Dr. Q TF are still [censored], but that's not important to devs, what is important to them is that people now do these TF's regularly, so they realized of the power of merits and ensured the success (not saying it wasn't going to be successful anyway) of the MA, now with Tickets, so I wouldn't be surprised of I15 "fixing" PvP by giving "vouchers" or "coupons" or however you want to call them following the same principle. We know it's still broken, but their datamining would probably show that more people do PvP same way their datamining probably shows now that the frequency Positron, Synapse or Dr. Q TF's are being run has increased exponentially compared to pre-I13, so who can maintain that something is broken when numbers "prove" otherwise?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    ....
If they do that, I will be one TICKED off player.
PvP was actually fun, once you hit a few decent kills. Yeah, it got bad points, and the one gripe I had was how Hide, for me, seemed broken. It was like, Oh, we're going to give EVERY AT the ability to see through Hide. And dont get me started on VEAT hide. Still, it wasnt too bad.

    Now, though...meh.
I STILL want my War! I had planned to lead a mass Redside attack into nearly all the PvP zones, and cause some mass havoc. But, well....thats down the drain

Well here's a news flash its not your game and how things are done in it are not your decision to make if the Devs have decided that they want CoH to have a more "fight club" style PvP then so be it if you don't like that style of PvP well its a free world your free not PvP in CoH no one is forcing you to play CoH yet here you are.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And here's a news flash for you, the devs have killed pvp deader than it ever was. So it is an epic fail. And in that respect TG and everyone else now moaning are right.

And the only thing more of an epic fail, is that they intend to waste more time on it, rather than admit it aint worked and put it back.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Messy, you're digging yourself a damned big hole here.
Point of order, it IS our game. We paly it, we pay the subs. Without us, the players, there is NO CoX.

If they can get PvP back to a playable level, then I wouldnt consider that a waste of resources. Even if it was a roll-back.
If they do leave it how it is, however, thats a knock of confidence that will take a long long time to heal.

    A soldier build

    Some VERY glaring problems.
You lack the main Soldier combo until lvl 44...and I would never reccomend 5 slotting auto-powers. Three or four slots tops.

This is the vanilla set up I use for my Gun-Spider, Drake. Tough as nails so far, and hes only lvl 22.

    Fix PvP

If they ever do get round to this 'Upgraded' version, it had better be spectacular. Either that or roll back to pre-I13, which although it had flaws was more fun (hell, even I admit it now) and then start work from there.
  16. They could give us at least some hint then
  17. El! You're still around. Need to see you on Richardson The KG's been rolling on nicely.
My one crit would definately be on the NW.
Take Slash. Take it early as you can. Slash is the NW 'Godhammer'. Slot it for acc and damage and maul stuff into paste.

I'd say a Widow is nearer the way a Stalker should have been

    [/ QUOTE ]

What, with a broken hide y'mean?
My one gripe about VEATs. Oh, and personally I found lvling a Widow to 24 murder. Soldier, not to bad, blaster like. Widow? Broken scrapper.
    Still, that was just.
After 24, of course, they are slaughter engines
  19. As a add-on, the 'Huntsman' Build runs pretty much like so;

Sticking purely to the gun based attacks from the Soldier path, possibly with Placate and Build up.
Focussing primarily on the basic paths, so the tactics and gun pools, tending not to take travel powers (swift, Sprint and Mental Training make you damn fast). Bane armour upgrade is necessary for suvival unless you are very good at kiting, and cloaking is a nice adddition, as pummel and bayonet can use it for critical strikes.
Huntsman come with a real nasty attack chain; AoE Web nade, Venom grenade, Heavy Burst/Frag grenade. Personally, its almost more lethal than a Crab Spider AoE volley, with the exception of Omega Bomb. The Frag/Burst are interchangeable, as Frag fires faster but runs the risk of Knockback.

'Pure' Huntsman are very fun to play, however, as much fun as a dedicated Bane or Crab. Without as many slots on path powers as the others, you can add pools as you wish to create full customisation.

I think its a sign of how addictive they are that I have three Soldiers
  20. [ QUOTE ]
It is power customisation, and hence it is included in the frequent suggestions post.

I know this suggestion is old, because I suggested it myself during CoV closed beta.

No point on us speculating if they know for sure that something cannot be done. And then letting us know when a limitation is broken.
