Maybe add damage to Tesla Cage for Defenders?

Sounds great; but why only Defenders? Do it for Blasters and Corrs too.
agreed seems kind of odd to only do it for defenders when there are 2 other ATs that make use of the same power.

I think this will be unfair to the other powersets with hold. Increased damage to all the holds!

There are very few holds that do lots of damage. The one I can think of right awat is the Warshade one, which is a melee range attack, and thus involves some risk.
With a standard ranged hold, the point isnt really damage. The point is to leave your opponent stood like a lemon while you rain down fire and brimstone, thunder and lightning and gods own divine fury upon his pitiful little hide, leaving nothing but oblivion where he stood!

Yeah, anyway, Hold = free shots at an enemy. Ergo, no need for added damage.

Actually, the logical aspect is that Elec Blast does poor damage.
Do what they did with Clobber in War Mace - change the focus of the power from control to damage, thus reducing the duration of the Hold in favor of giving it high damage.
I'd so hit that.

A power, for me at least, is either a mez or an attack. Even then its a fine line. For example, the Warshade melee hold I tend to put acc and hold slots in it, seeing as the damage is decent enough anyway. Whereas some other hold/attacks I put acc and damage in (depending on spare slots)
Whereas Tesla Cage etc get the traditional hold treatment. having to mix and match between that is never a good thing.

Just make the hold duration equivalent to the stun duration of Cosmic Burst, and then make the damage the same too. That way the hold will be more of a shiny secondary effect and Elec Blast gets some real ST damage.

If damage were added to tesla cage for defenders this might give electrical assault single target damage a leg up.
Maybe damage in line with the one defender blast set where the heavy hitting third attack and mezzing power are a single power, i.e. cosmic burst from radiation blast?
