Quote:Strategy I used on my Claws / Regen / Soul Mastery.I'm trying to think of some good solo strategies for my /Regen scrappers, among others.
Shadow Meld > MoG > Shadow Meld > range dps for 12 seconds > Shadow Meld > range dps.
No inspirations or temp powers used. Never needed instant healing.
I also duoed Lady Winter with my wife's Storm / Elec defender and my WP/Mace tanker. My tanker had a considerably more difficult time. I wound up kiting / jousting a good part of each of these fights until my wife cut loose with ALL of her knockbacks. She put Lady Winter on her back for almost half the fight, With Lady Winter running away from her Tornado the rest. -
Interesting post.
By your calculator I should be able to survive for just under two minutes facing 5k dps using my current build (without using my clicky heal).
I'll have to turn up the difficulty a few notches and see how accurate that is after I finish converting back to a hero -
Quote:I managed it on my claws / regen, but I'll admit to using a lot of purples and reds while fighting Hero 1.I had an average-slotted Spines/Dark Scrapper, and faceplanted to Trapdoor twice, until I came back with loads of purples and managed to take him down. Or make him talk, whatever...
Dropped the next mission. :x
My Claws/Regen Scrapper is next.
Edit: oops, the above seems off-topic. Trapdoor was an EB. Well, I suck, so there :P -
Quote:I've been using my hero merits to buy LotG +recharge and Numina's IO's, then selling them to bankroll my characters. My price estimate was going by purely purchasing everything from the market, and not during this price spike while everyone respecs.
Merit rewards can save you a lot of inf, and they can make you a lot for putting your builds together. I saw LOTG global recharges selling for 300 mil. Two of those can more than pay for an entire build if you wait for the market to cool down after everyone is done respeccing. Patience is the key to not wasting influence on the market.
1 week of farming a couple hours a night and I'm pretty much set on everything. -
Quote:I had the opposite complaint. This is one of the worst missions Ive ever seen in the game, getting held and 2 shotted is not in any way shape or form fun.
This mission is darn near undoable by squishies unless they are bleeding io's from their ears.
Melee's are soloing this fairly easy and dont want or need to team up with the squishies.
And I saw alot of people saying just drop the mission, its not worth it...
whats the point of putting in a mission so many people are just going to drop.
I thought it was too easy, my hp bar never even moved. -
Quote:Atlas Park on the Freedom server.Where are you that you're seeing all of this spam? I've seen requests to form an MA team from time to time when I'm visiting Atlas Park on one of my heroes, but I haven't really seen 'spam', per se.
Since they fixed the exploit on the Monkey Farm, there are a dozen people spamming for zombie farms as I write this. -
I'm looking at respeccing my Scrapper for i19. Up till now he's not been using the fitness pool, but a lot has changed in the last year.
I have 90% of the IO's I have listed, including all the expensive ones, but can only reasonably spend 100 mil. or so on additional enhancements. It's not listed, but I'm planning on putting a Miracle in the health slot. If anyone wants to supply constructive feedback it would be welcome.

Quote:And half of them don't know how to get out of Atlas park.No no no, you guys are misunderstanding this whole thing.
The arc to unlock incarnate stuff is a punishment for all the monkey farmers. *all-knowing nod* See, they have somewhere around 300 level 50 characters, but none of those characters mean anything if they're not incarnate.
It'll take them a while just to find the mission. -
Quote:I'll counter you.I'm sure this is old news to a lot of people, but some people don't read up on the details of issues before they're released.
Maybe I'm alone here, but I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE having to do missions to unlock content. It's probably the biggest complaint I have with the game. Capes, Auras, ITF, even Patron powers. It is so irritating to have to do a certain arc just to be able to go do some thing fun/interesting. I have like four level 50s who can't access capes just it's such a pain to unlock them.
I've been told it's a short arc, but I really don't care...Having to do it on every toon I want Incarnate access on would be so tedious. I didn't think it would be easy or quick to be able to become Incarnate, but having to do a story arc is just annoying. I don't expect to use the Incarnate system at all.
I absolutely love doing missions to unlock content. I'm happy they chose this mechanics and hope they continue to do so for all the remaining Incarnate slots. -

How effective would the +2 magnitude hold proc from Lockdown be if slotted into a demon prince?

Quote:1. They keep getting in my way when I try to click on things. So, I see some threads about different drawbacks of Mastermind primaries. Out of curiosity then, what are some things (not necessarily gameplay wise) that annoy you about your pets? I'll go first as an example:
Zombie vomit. Really? They couldn't just have toxic breath or even at least spit at things, it has to be vomit? Well I've decided that my zombies don't vomit, they breathe on things. That horrid sound is them... um... exhaling. Don't shatter my dreams!
Oh, and if my robots KB everything and cause mass chaos one more time, I'm going to scream and throw things at them.
You know, stuff like that. I kinda wanna ask other ATs which mastermind pets annoy them and why, but I don't think I should post in 11 other archetype boards.
So, what annoys you about YOUR pets?
2. They enjoy blocking my line of sight during fights. -
Quote:By this logic, the Silver Samurai would just be a man with a sword.I was thinking about the Incarnate system, and found this idea intriguing.
How does a "normal" with a gun or a sword(replace "sword" with any melee weapon, "gun" is universal as it pertains to firearms)handle growing godlike powers?
A man using barehands and feet, or utilizing any element, I'd understand(for the bare-handed godlikes, see the Dragonball saga), but if you are simply a man(or woman)with a gun or sword(however technologically advanced), how would that work?
Of course, for him, the quality of the sword does not matter. He can cut a tank in half with a plastic sword. Ironic, since he currently hold a sentient katana of considerable power. -
Personally, I enjoy playing unrated mission. Just skip the ones whose descriptions look like they were written by a 12 year old on crack.

Quote:I would sorely miss the AE.What do you think would happen if the game went back to being like pre-ae times and they just removed AE entirely from content. Other than the fact the market would most likely crash, and MANY noobs (no offense), would leave the game because they would have to venture outside Atlas Park for the first time in their lives, Any comments?
It gives my characters a quick means of picking up the occasional rare salvage I don't already have in the bank and refuse to pay stupid prices for.
As for the rest, /shrug, my 22 tanker is halfway towards earning her +3 def gladiators doing tip missions -
Quote:I've never managed to play through a full scale invasion and am looking forward to the experience myself. You may have noticed a new player saying they were looking forward to experiencing it for the first time
I have a few characters that could use Rikti swords. -
Quote:I just finished the Maria Jenkins arc on my claws / regen scrapper.2. I've soloed plenty of EBs. I'm working my electric/ice tanker through the Maria Jenkins arc right now (between checking the forums).
Just soloed Black Swan, Battle Maiden, Neuron, Nightstar, uh... Bobcat, uh... I forget. Siege, though - bah! Even with a boatload of reds, even set at -1/x1, even with the help of Amy Jonsson, couldn't do it. Can't out-damage his <bleeping!> heal.
(
Tyrant was a fun little fight, but not really challenging once the adds went down.
Nosferatu is still the one that I find most difficult. -
Quote:1. They can already be soloed. It's not just an idea.
1. Do you favour the idea of being able to solo EBs/AVs/GMs, if so/not, why?
2. Have you ever soloed an EB/AV/GM, and if so how did you feel afterward?
3. Do you think the dynamic will change after the implementation of the Incarnate system?
4. Whatever else you wish to add.
2. I solo EB's all the time. I solo AV's occasionally.
I've never seriously tried a GM.
I don't really even play my scrapper on anything less than +1/x3
I still have a lot of room to grow before I am maxed.
Fighting an EB I actually have to pay attention and and sometimes even use tactics
Fighting an AV I have to be careful and plan my attacks out, mistakes = death
Soloing an AV feels awesome. I beat something had a real chance of winning.
3. The dynamics will have to change to keep the game challenging to the incarnates. -
