  1. I'm really happy that I was able to contribute, even in the small way I did.
  2. Dominators are one of the few ATs I feel is at the same top tier of power that Scrappers and Brutes are, but in a different way. It was a real swine to get here, but now we're here...

... what else would you do? D:
  4. If all good things must come to an end, this was clearly too good to last any longer. I'll miss you.
  5. Real men can't be thirteen feet tall, either.

And male hairstyles suffer from a lack of diversities, too.

Thus is the curse of giving us many, many options - we keenly notice the ones that the system inspires, but does not provide.
  6. I love you guys so freaking much.
  7. Fire/kin controllers are very, very good at knocking down tuned groups of a specific type without interference and provided nothing odd gets thrown at them.

They do not bring anything to a variable situation that other control/support combos don't seem to bring as well, if not better. Great farmers, but if you're rolling one for non-farm purposes, the combo is quite ho-hum.

SS/WP Brutes are toasters. They have a narrow band of performance, with the high end representing the kind of investment that would make anyone great, and the low end representing good personal survivability and anemic team contribution. Good players can make it work, but mediocre players who play SS/WP are not encouraged by the set itself to become good players.

Scrapperes, in general, are not the top-end bleeding-edge scrapper builds you see on those boards, and I have almost no tolerance whatsoever for people who talk about how great they will be, at 50, with a build they can't yet afford, face-down in a mission.
  8. I only have a modest pile of inf and I still don't know what to do with it, so acquiring more inf becomes an academic thing.
  9. Indeed; conceptually speaking, if you wanted to make a 'fire' character, the dominator is your best bet. Same for cold. The other classes can get close, but nobody can do the whole mix of power variety that a dominator can get.
  10. Really, not much has changed at all.

    Endurance.

Another thing to remember is that any time you get a recipe where the only things you need to craft it are uncommon and common pieces of salvage, you can almost always sell that recipe, crafted, for a million inf. Almost every damn time. Even stuff you'd never buy, like slow sets.

If you're really cautious about how long they'll take to sell, gleemail them to an alt and have the alt do the selling. It's unbelievable how consistantly this works.

Still reading this thread, but can I suggest that the people try to avoid being dickish? Ultimo's really trying to learn something here, and that's something that should be fostered.
  13. A change was made to a glitchy bit of code which meant maps were paying out drops in the same sequence if they were re-set in the same session. You could roll a map until you got rares early on, then just keep re-setting them. Some enemy factions were made to pay out more sensible XP, like the family.

However, since that, no, nothing's changed.
  14. Just went at it on one of my scrappers. About twelve missions later and I had a shiny new cardiac, made out of Incarnate shards.
  15. It'd be a funny, but dick move, if they set a handful of farm maps to not drop shards and didn't tell anyone.

  17. Ah, I was looking for Absolute Amazements.
  18. It warms the cockles of my heart sometimes when I see people espousing the complete opposite of my opinion.
  19. I read at school that Purples are crashing.

I come home and find them spiking.

    Chaaaoooossss!!!
  20. As we know, in the real world, pokeball catching is considered a greivous act of violence.

This, distressing as it is, is quite true.
  22. Yeah, I know how it goes. I have a hoard of purples sitting in my bin because I'm waiting for just the right character to deserve them. Ironically, my financing this bin has led to me having other purples on characters who are just as 'deserving.'
  23. It depends on how much you want to sink into IOing. If you really wanna go all-out on IOs, you'll need some money to do it, and for a inv/ss, the platinum build that springs to my mind is slotting to get good S/L/E/N defenses. Are you interested in making that kind of investment in the character? It might be something you have to build for over time, for example.
