Seriously, even purples are running after the first hit and just made me fail my Mayhem mission cause the second I shot anything, they would run away. EVERY FREAKIN LAST ONE OF THEM. This needs to be fixed massively cause this has been happening all day.

After huntig eochai upon eochai it gets tiring that a banner event appears and you have to do it all again. With his low spawn rate its getting pretty tedious to get that badge.

Got my traps/sonic to 50 today and its been a fun ride.
Traps should work with all secondaries. I´m tempted to try all of them myself but i´m already short on influence since i´m gonna kit out both builds on my traps/sonic for different purposes. -
Been on 2 banner events and it lagged on epic proportions with massive rubberbandings and mapservers every 2 seconds. On a zombie apocalypse i had 1-2 minutes of powerlag.
This was on Union
How are the US servers doing on the event? -

As i have had the privilige to play on an all blaster team. You click a purple and two, everybody fire their aoe´s dead spawn.

There's way too much knockback in that set for my liking, and with Invuln every mob you knock away means you're chipping away some of your defense. We have enough mobs for that; don't need to do it to yourself.
MA is better, but still not a fan. Cashiering my level 42 MA/Shield and rerolled Electric. -

You should have gotten one entry for Acid Mortar (showing a fairly low number), and one entry for Achilles Heel, showing 20%.
As has already been mentioned, the reason that the Purple Patch does not reduce this number is that it is a power granted to the target.
It always *shows up* as -20%, but depending on the resistance of the target, it doesn't always *give* -20%.
The reason for this is that the sub-headings (the entry for each power) for each attribute shows the "natural" value given by that power, before resistances are taken into consideration (but after Combat Modifiers ("purple patch"). This means that these values are not always representative of the actual effect on the target.
The "main headings" for each attribute show the accurate (post-resistance) totals however.
e.g., if you have:
Smashing Resistance: x%
---Resistance affecting power 1: y%
---Resistance affecting power 2: z%
, then the value given for Smashing Resistance is guaranteed to be accurate, but the values listed for Resistance affecting power 1 and Resistance affecting power 2 might not be.
(Resistance buffs are generally unresistable, and will thus generally show the correct values. Most Resistance Debuffs are however resistable, and will thus show inaccurate values when your (unresistable) Resistance is non-zero (unresistable Resistance is what is used to resist resistable Resistance).
If you had a power called "Resistance Buff" giving you 50% Smashing Resistance, and a power called "Resistance Debuff" giving you -50% Smashing Resistance, the Combat Numbers display should show you this:
Smashing Resistance: 25%
---Resistance Buff: 50%
---Resistance Debuff: -50%
Resistance Debuff is *showing* -50%, but the actual debuff the target experiences is -50%*(1-50%) = -25%.
Thus, the total Smashing Resistance is 50% - 25% = 25%.
So, to find out the effective debuff of a power, you will often need to back-calculate it from the *total*, instead of looking at the entry for that specific power.
Going back to the case of Achilles' Heel, its entry should always show -20%, but if the target has Resistance, the effective debuff will actually be lower than this. -

20.9% def to all to work from so easily capped def of your choice (24% w/ seekers added in vs AV)
AV's: 94 dps of -regen
Monsters/GM's: 353 dps of -regen
dps loss due to traps summons: (acid, seekers, pgt, triage) = ~30%
Rad:
Mez protection? nope, but mez res is pretty good, except RI and EF still drop
30% res debuff and about 4% from achilies in RI
-30% dam
30%+rech ( perma with very high recharge)
25%+ dam (perma with very high recharge )
Up to 60hp/sec healing (casting RA every 4.4 sec: 2.18 sec rech/2.244 cast)
7.125% effective tohit debuff vs AV's, so a lot harder to softcap
AV's: 70.7 dps of -regen
Monster/GM's: 264.4 dps of -regen
dps loss due to rad powers: (am, LR, RA equal to 300% regen, which brings it up to par with triage on the traps w/ health and IO's. So every 15.6 sec) =~23%
I'll concede that rad is still the faster AV killer (probably), I've even said that in another thread, but "big game" no I don't think so. Rad has to make up 89 dps just from the difference in -regen, which AM just can't do.
If you did 50 dps before buffs and debuffs
Traps: ~164 dps
less dps loss due to summons and 95% cap on tohit
109 dps
Rad: ~147 dps
less dps loss due to casting and 95% cap on tohit
108 dps
At which point the difference comes out as the extra 23.6 dps of -regen vs AV's and the extra 89 vs GM's.
*I"m being as impartial as I can be and referencing these builds for my purposes (though the 50 dps is just an example), but feel free to run w/e numbers you feel are pertinent

All that said traps and rad are both very capable of the task. But seeing as how you nitpicked my comment about traps possibly being the best big game hunger blueside now, but not the fact that defs are the second best at it otherwise what troller do you feel is better than a traps/son?
A self heal which can avoid rooting will be far more valuable than regen in my opinion seeing as most gm´s have a ranged attack with heavy DoT.
You didnt include pool taunt even though you were so quick to jump on me for neglecting that.
I didnt like neither of your builds as they are far too end heavy for my liking. -

It's nothing powerpool taunt can't easily solve. Some seem more affected by the flee factor of mortar too.
Fitting in pool taunt and softcapping defense is tricky while maintaing a good recharge speed and overall survivability.
Pool taunt will also decrease your dps which planting traps is already doing.
Rad/ will never have to deal with that thus being a far more superior set for big game hunting. -
What level is your trapper? I´m slotted with SO´s and common io´s and i have no problems with traps recharging slow. I do use my secondary though.

Ice mistral still has issues with crystals falling off the carnie map which apparently been around for a long time.

Except that acid mortar causes GM´s to run. You can immob AV´s but you got nothing to stop gm´s thanks to their high immob protection and resitance on top of that.
