We have tried
a non 50
50
reforming the team
And it wont start?
I thought they fixed this bug ages ago. -
Yeah i would rather have some beefy defence backing up the resistance.
Mind/FF and Spines/Dark should be a pretty safe combo. -
You might gain more replies posting on the Union, Defiant, Vigilance and Zukunft subforums
Myself have stopped hoarding and jusr earn to get what i want.
Might be helpful to add how much liquidity(not sure if its the correct term) you are looking at. -
My traps/dark is 20 and wow, so much control. Dark pit with Seekers stuns most things, pgt is always nice and you have TT to keep them in the cloud.
Also been encountering more trappers and it stacks really well.
Now to to figure out which will be my third defender trapper. -
Quote:1000% pretty much shuts down regen completly which traps can do with no penalties and a 40 second duration :V
Nothing out-perforns Rad/Rad on -regen. 1000% debuff (15 sec duration, 300 sec base recharge) from EM Pulse and Lingering Rad which recharges on a base rate of 90 seconds with a 30 second duration of -500% Regen.
I admit that lingering has an advantage during 5TF though. Keeping the -regen on reichsman while you deal with the other Av´s in the room. -
Quote:All of the effects from cold takes more recharge to perma.Cold/ice is a better AV killer than Rad/Rad could hope to be. Cold has more -res and more -dmg and comparable -regen while Ice has much better ST dmg along with descent AoE.
And BlueBattler go with the one that you feel most comfortable playing with.
All 5 of your defenders have stuff that are good on a team. -
All of them on a team together with 3 more defenders.
-
So sad right now. I had gotten some more recharge and decided to test it out agains jurassik. It was slow but it was going really well at th third attempt.
The debuffs kept me safe, at debuff peak his attacks were doing about 84-90 damage and i was like holy crap i can do this!
Then i got a lost connection message. I waited and i got back into the game to my relief he was still under the effect of pgt.
I was at the home stretch and then the rng and server decided to grief me.
After that screenshot challenge missed and i had lag spike followed by teleportation lag. And we ended up here, with my seekers behind and slow he made short work of me.
16k hit points from my goal.
What i learned:
You need alot of recharge in pgt so it slightly overlaps and more with hasten. lvl 53 manticore gave me hints of this when i tested taking him down(failed as i had not enough recharge atm to go against avs that high)
Challenge is good and helps alot against mortar scatter when slotted correctly.
During other tests i ran Shriek, Scream, Challenge.
Silverado gave me the advice to run shriek, scream, shriek, challenge and that one works a bit better.
So against gm´s solo i will be running Challenge, Shriek, Scream, Shriek(reversed order to keep aggro while planting.)
depending on hasten i may change to shriek, scream, challenge if i got a lot of traps available.
Currently i dont have time to use caltrops which is a shame but migt be able to fit it in my attacks when i ccomplete the build.
I also realised that i dont really use aim since i forget about and some times i have something else to click.
I have 6 gaussians in it though for def and i use it on teams before howl so dunno.
Oh well if i can get to 16k hp its possible to go all the way which i look forward to. -
4 s tickrate is pretty garbage for procs. (WoC).

If you are doing on the cheap and want dual blades, try db/sr.

1. Tough target defeat specialist (vs. boss, EB,AV,even GM) -solo
Can defeat a single tough target most quickly, alone (admittedly requires a high level of survivability as well.)
Bots/Traps
2. Team tough target defeat specialist (vs boss, AV/even GM) -assisting/enabling
This teammate would help the team defeat a tough target most quickly (defensive capability not necessarily important, offense may be)
Debuffing secondary with -regen take your pick
3. Large group defeat specialist -solo
Can defeat a large group most consistently and quickly, alone
Fire/Kin, SS/Damage aura brute heck there are a lot of combinations that fits.
4. Team large group defeat specialist -assisting/enabling
This teammate can make defeating large groups fastest most consistently (defensive abilities not important, offense may be)
Fire/Kin, things with loacation based -res-
5. Tough target survivability specialist (vs. boss, EB,AV,even GM)- solo
Can stand against a tough target the longest, without help (offense capability not considered, assuming never ending enemy attack)
Bots/Traps
6. Team tough target survivability specialist (vs. boss, EB,AV,even GM) -assisting/enabling
This teammate would make surviving tough targets for a long period easier (offense capability not considered, assuming never ending enemy attack)
Traps
7. Large group survivability specialist -solo
This combo can withstand a large group attacking them the longest (offense capability not considered, assuming never ending enemy attack)
A lot of combinations
8. Team large group survivability specialist -assisting/enabling
This teammate can help the team stand against a large group the longest (offense capability not considered, assuming never ending enemy attack)
A lot of combinations
9. Tough target control specialist (vs. boss, EB,AV,even GM)
Power combo that can most consistently stop a single tough target from dealing damage (offense not considered)
Perma holding Mind or Fire dom
10. Large group control specialist
This combo can stop a large group of enemies from dealing damage most consistently (offense not considered)
Earth
11. Tough target stacking specialist (vs. boss, EB,AV,even GM)
While often diversity on a team often preferred, the more of this specific archetype primary and secondary, the better when fighting a single strong foe
Defenders/Trollers/Doms/Corrs
12. Large group stacking specialist
While often diversity on a team often preferred, the more of this specific archetype primary and secondary, the better when fighting a large group

My Traps/Dark is quite fun currently at 15 but iso far found my Traps/Sonic to be better with all that -res stacked with seekers -dmg itsd one of my safest toons. Gonna see what happens during leveling.
Traps rocks. -
I tried my fire/sr/blaze Warrior clan map 1+/8 with bosses but got fed up with all the damn scatter and decided to call it quits.
Seeing how little influence i gained and judging by the cost of the build when completed i decided to strip at continue use it as a marketing toon.
Transfered some influence to my partially io'd spine/will and plugged the many holes with so's. Took me some time to remember the map and i havent played this toon for a year. Was fun.
1+/8 No Bosses Council Empire for 55 minutes gave me according to herostats.

Quote:Try to send a petition.iam having a problem with my last veterns reward. i was supposed to recieve my 33rd month reward but have not recieved it as of yet.
Anyway i just went and picked up paraspycholigst(hollows exploration) and i´m now at 201.
And i just reread Masterblades post as i checked my recent badges and it shows up as Cabalist, Trailblazer, the red cap badge(forgot the name)
I did gain Trailblazer during a Katie(completed) so it seems the x times the victor was the source of confusion? -
Interesting i´ll try to run this 1 oir 2 times during the weekend. I would also be interested in seeing a 1-22 challenge to see how much inf carious toons end up with at 22 when its time to buy so´s just by selling their drops and influence from missions.

Quote:Something like this?Ye Olde Sense of Honour (Tanker Primary)
Dressed for the occation - Auto - Res(Cold, Fire, Slow, Debuffs, Knockback, Repel, Knockdown, Endurance Drain, etc.)
"You are always prepared for the harsh extremities of weather and won't let some silly blizzard or heatwave slow you down"
Minor damage resistance, good prot/res vs. that sort of status effects
Higher education - Toggle - Res(Psi, Negative Energy, Confuse, Sleep)
"As an Oxford Graduate you dismiss the supernatural with your rational thought"
Good resistance.
Better than you - Toggle - Res(All), Def(All), +Regen, +Perception
"There is nothing you haven't faced and as long as you stay alert, it makes you better at dealing with anything thrown at you."
Just a minor buff to all defenses and resistances. Hefty regen and perception buffs.
Stiff Upper Lip - Clickie - Self Heal, Res(Status effects not mentioned elsewhere)
"As a true gentleman, you do not show emotions. If you're hurt, it is only your own business."
A self-heal that doubles as a status protect/resist.

"You are unfazed by possibility of death, and the beautiful words of fair maidens help you ignore brute punches."
Hefty melee defense and S/L resistance.
Arrogance - Toggle - Taunt Aura, Foe +DMG
"You hold your nose up high and show uttermost distain to the rabble around you."
Enemies around you get taunted and get a BUFF to their damage because they're so annoyed. Autohit aura.
Finesse - Clickie, PBAoE special, needs tohit check
"You are unimpressed with these shows of brute force"
All enemies withing the aura suffer a debuff that turns all their positive buffs into negative ones. +dmg becomes -dmg and Vengeanced Prussian troops become the useless pieces of scrap metal they actually are.
Aim - Clickie - +tohit, +dmg
"Your cool mind lets you work as a precise instrument"
Ye Olde Aim.

You can put GM´s in AE missions. Some sapwn as Archvillains and a few as GM´s though.
Havent figured out how to bypass mission being set to the gm´s level though. tried putting in kraken but i was auto exemped to 14. -

Quote:Electric Fence.Nightfall is a good power, enough to make room for it. I would take it over Life Drain. Life drain is -tohit, not -resistance and nightfall has the same -tohit factor. You also will have the forcefield generator to fill holes left by the dark blast -tohit.
Sorry, not trying hard to be a butt head, but I don't know what EF is in your attack sequence, unless you mean Night Fall. Leading off with the cones after the traps are in place sounds excellent.
On my defenders, I like to nuke, a lot. Kinetics, forcefields, sonics, storm and cold (not so much darks, radiations) are not what I call toggle heavy. An argument could be made for storm, but once a storm gets an endurance draining epic, he would drop the cane to get in range at any rate. In my opinion, all the traps in place are clicks, leadership might drop, but the nuke is good, the debuff is good for you to get in recovery position.
My traps/dark is a new project, but I feel it is a very solid defender set and it has amazed me to how durable it has been so far. It levels really quickly on teams when the acid mortar and poison gas trap can be factored over multiple teammates.
Sorry For being unclear. I meant having the heal to make up for not being able to hardcore debuff them to a level where i can survive with triage. -
Quote:Color me not impressed - a build built to handle s/l against hand picked s/l AVs with mobs standing around to fuel SD and invincibility just reiterates what everyone already knows : when the enemies match up to your strengths dealing with them is easy.
Try the same build against non s/l AVs and without mobs to buff SD/Invinc and the tune will not be so pretty. Invulnerability is anything but invulnerable when it comes to non s/l damage and the set relies heavily on invincibility to survive any serious incoming non s/l damage.
If you retune the build to handle non s/l damage, you could probably get similar results however.
