These two data points seem to match up with each other fairly nicely. Based on the Devs' tendency to release things on Tuesdays I would expect the Strike Pack to happen on either February 1st, 8th or the 15th.

Really, I think what you mean is that you only sell when the price is temporarily higher than usual. If absolute price were the issue, you'd probably think those IO's were worth keeping even if the price tripled.

If you sell at a temporarily high price, then you know you can always buy the item back later, and have both the item, and the money.

I had always thought that sellers preferred to receive higher prices than lower prices. I guess that's not a universal case.

I do want to kick some people... Twitter and Facebook are not good venues for ideas that require nuance, which Ebert's statement required. He was making a stand against censorship in one part, and pointing out that bigotry exists but is better than slavery on the other. Neither of which easily come across in a tweet. If he'd put out an essay on the subject (as he has been known to do - reference his "Why video games will never be art") I think that his point would have come across better and less offensively. You can disagree with his conclusions, but he usually makes a valid argument, and I suspect he would have in this case.

Ebert does great reviews. I don't always agree with him, but I can usually tell whether I will like a movie based on his reviews.

And, unlike some reviewers, he is candid about why he doesn't care for some movies - he will reference news stories or political issues when talking about his view of a movie. His viewings don't occur in a vacuum, and he admits it.

So unless you're talking about setting up some form of off-market charity shop channel I cannot see your point (in fact I'm willing to bet that if you did try and sell a desirable Purple on a channel a bidding war would break out and you'd still end up with about the same price as via the Markets interface).

There does remain the very real possibility that the devs can implement a good feature in a bad place. This is one I would accept as being arguable. YMMV, of course. But if enough people feel it would make a better booster item or have expressed it in suggestion forums before it became a vet reward (both in this case), then maybe there's something there for the Devs to consider.

Hey, some of us are at least trying to meet halfway. I'm sure coming up with new rewards is a real pain in the ***, so offer an alternative power that's just a shade less as beneficial.
