You have snatched the pebble from my hand Grasshopper. Time for you to go.
Congrats on your focus shift from completing the game to playing the game. I still find i do too much click-click-pew-pew and not enough reading. But if I'm having fun, who cares!? -
I do find it interesting that Herschel's first statement to Rick and his group upon their arrival at the farm was that there were not enough resources to support Rick's group, which then led to talk by Shane and others to take the farm from Herschel by force.
Ironic that this is exactly what took place with the two men in the bar and Rick was forced to shoot them to prevent. -
I'm an Arch/Nrg Blaster fan too. Love boost range and that crashless nuke Rain of Arrows.
With enough recharge, you can even farm things like the BM map with relative ease and speed. Also hear dof folks doing the same with Arch/MM blasters. -
Quote:Sort of a follow-on to this, but I think it's implied -- never quit a team mid-mission. Stick it out until you get it done or everyone fails and the leader decides the mission is not getting done.
My own rules:
1) If I'm not having fun, I stop playing. As a subset to this, if I'm on a team and the whole team's being a bunch of flaming tardbeasts, I politely excuse myself ("I'm sorry for the short notice, but I have to leave"). If it's just one person, I tell the leader ("I'm sorry, but I really can't deal with so-and-so, so I'm going to quit after this mission"). -
Sorry. I thought the OP said his wife was using the free account for her kin/nrg def.
Is the OP also using a free account? -
If you are planning to team in larger PuGs, I would be concerned about her getting a hard time from other players since she's new and her powers have a lot of KB.
Maybe you should consider something like an Earth/Rad controller instead? Something that can lock down mobs so her pew-pew powers do damage and not KB. -
If you look at your billing summary under account management, you can review the last 90 days worth of microtransactions.
Can you tell if you purchased something there? -
Thanks for the explanation(s)! I think I'll go ahead and submit a bug report that Fury draws aggro and leave it at that.
Cheers! -
Ok. Maybe I was looking at the DO's. I saved her father and all I could see were tech which I couldn't use on my mutation brute.
I'll go back and look again. -

While my intent for going invis is to stealth missions, this is happening when I'm not clicking anything. Just standing there.
-
I didn't turn off sprint, so the stealth effect should still be on.
I turned off all my shields and auras including lightning field before approching the NPCs.
This was happening with council in Striga. And there with no council marksmen in the group.
I've used the sprint+stealth and superspeed combo many times on other ATs without any issues -- of course rikti drones and observers see me, but they see everything.
I was wondering if this was something specific to brutes that I had not encountered on other ATs. Maybe it's the threat level as you mentioned. -
I am running my first brute in quite a while -- kat/elec.
Since I solo a lot and like to stealth to the end and click glowies, I picked up an unbounded leap +stealth for my sprint power and picked up superspeed.
I thought this resulted in full invisibility, but even with no other powers or shields running, if I stand still next to a NPC, they see me and start attacking. I can approach undetected and stand there a few seconds, but after that it's like I'm not invisible any longer.
Did something change, or is this some sort of inherent aura effect with brutes? -
I think the only place origins make a difference these days are with the bonus damage from the vet blackwand/nem staff, and the ability to get early SOs from Yin in Faultline (I think they are limited to tech origin).
-
and I bet they go to McD's and get a Royale with Cheese!

I recently returned to Pinnacle after spending some time on other servers for 4 years or so.
For any of you long timers, way back when I lived on Pinnacle, I used to be in a supergroup run by Schnax -- something with a black and blue division, but I can't remember the name exactly. My mains were Suspicious Pkg, Green Nuke, Zentropy and Bloodnut. I remember running with the likes of NIGHTOFIRONSTAR, Crypton, and others.
Anyhow, to the point of my post -- I'm currently leveling a brute on blue side and it seems kind of quiet. Real quiet. Some posts less than 6 month old recommend joining the PinnBadges and Cozmic's Playground channels. Are there any others I should join to get re-integrated and more importantly, find drinking buddies?
Cheers! -
As a power slide owner, I have no problem with it being made available.
Now heroclix are a different matter altogether! Mine mine mine! -
Quote:I would second the Striga recommendation. Just be careful not to outlevel Stephanie's arc before you earn the Wedding Band. It really is a nice temp power. You may want to turn XP off for a while.Since you're 23 now... I'd suggest going to Striga.
Start with Stephanie Peebles and do her arc first (She only goes to 25-)... You don't need an introduction to Steph. You can just walk up and talk to her... At the end of it, you'll get a very nice temp power called the Wedding Band and an introduction to either Long Jack or Tobias Hansen (depending on your level-) who are the next contacts in the Striga series.
Doing those arcs is a good way to get the wolves and vamps you need for the Slayer and Silver Bullet badges, which are part of the Atlas Medallion accolade mentioned up-thread. They're also a heck of a lot of fun... Especially Toby's "wreck the vampire lab" mission, which features what FCM and I have always called the 'vampire vending machines'. -
I have power slide on my accounts, but rarely use it because you cannot alter the color and purple just doesn't fit with the majority of my costume color schemes.
-
We just got the fire and ice costume packs. My guess is a fiery comet or ice slick type travel power ala Ice Man.
Wouldn't be too hard. Take power slide's stance and glow, color it and allow it to be used in the air.
Easy peasy! -
If it's been a while since you've played, you might also want to check out cold domination.
-
Rather than Emp/Sonic, have you considered a Rad/Sonic?
I'm having fun with mine taking down AVs and GMs. Teams love me too. -
Or they could take the easy road and just give Statesman a title of 'Echo of' and make him translucent. They did it to Galaxy City!
-
I'll second waiting for a dark/kin.
You might also consider a grav/kin with the new changes coming to grav. One of my first toons way back in the day was a grav/kin. -
So Lts and Bosses don't have a greater chance to drop purple than Minions? For some reason I thought they did. Hmmm
