  1. And Cinders *can* be useful if you've got open slots. Fire/* usually does. "Don't skip" powers: Char, Hot Feet, Fire Imps, Flashfire, Fire Cages*, the */Elec punches, Static Discharge, Thunder Strike.

    * You could probably swap this for Ring of Fire and get away with it, but Fire Cages would be more effective on teams.

/Psi will go down in history beside EM and Devices. For good or ill, justified or not, people will be whining about PSW getting nerfed still three years from now.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I can live with most of the changes to PSW, but I'd actually say I miss the range, most. I think the previous radius did the power more justice, but otherwise, the set has been balanced nicely enough.

I just hope the changes are enough to retain new dom players.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I second missing the range. I feel exactly the same way. (And said so in another thread.)

    Ice/Thorn?

Thank you very much for your insight.

Quick question though, how exactly would CJ+Hurdle help AoE?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Especially with Cones, they'll help with positioning yourself. They're not suppressed like Super Speed or Super Jump are.

If you werent accustommed to doing doubles you will see an increase in performance although the range decrease in psw will likely prohibit you from biting off quite as much. Its just a more cautious playstyle,River.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have double stacked dom mostly. But that was a build that was years in the making. Overall, you're right I'm not noticing much of big diff, I didn't on test either. But then I consider myself a pretty competent dom player. I'm still not drinking the Kool-Aide that these changes are going to boost dom popularity. You still have to master the "blapper" playstyle to get the most out of things. We'll see...

    [/ QUOTE ]

This. I'm completely on board with the playstyle keeping intelligent players away. Brutes, Corruptors and MMs are all much, much different that Dominators on playstyle alone. People who wouldn't have jumped ship before won't now. The changes are nice, but I doubt they'll pull significantly more people into the AT.
  5. Honestly, as someone who's been playing a */Psi Dominator for a long time, this change doesn't affect my playstyle that much. Yes, it made me make a few minor adjustments. No, I didn't have to respec or slot my powers any differently. Granted, I was one of those who were in the privileged group of "stack-a-doms", but I've just had to adopt a little bit of a variant attack chain of what I was used to. I don't mind the extra damage, and my Ice/Psi doesn't play much differently than she did before.

The thing that's bothered me the most has been the radius reduction. I used to be able to lock things down, and not worry about how spread out they were, now I have to position myself a little better or focus on a single target. Pretty simple overall.
  6. No, no. They are a damaging AT, yes. They don't debuff, they control. Doms usually lay down their controls, then do their damage while not getting pounded on.
  7. MF BOUNCE, out of all the characters of mine, he's probably the only one to fit.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
Also, can you put procs in Arctic? Does domination make ice slick have a chance for kd at double the %?

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yes. Procs are pretty sweet in AA. You can put in a few different ones for damage (for example: Impeded Swiftness: Chance for Smashing Damage) or the Coercive Persuasion: Contagious Confusion. I personally love the confuse.
  9. Fire/Elec, and I'll probably respec my Ice/Psi into Scream and toy with it for a bit.
  10. That really sucks, Jade. I know exactly which toon it is, too. I'd petition and see what can be done.
  11. Will the jelly in the middle of my donut be SO GOOD that it outshines all the other donuts and makes me only want to eat it?
  12. Interesting. Well, I specced out of it for Aim. I'll look into adding it later with minimal slots if I find I need/want it. Thanks for all the advice!

    Ice/Psi Video

My Ice/Psi is one of those people who stacks Domination. Yes, I'll still like PSW after it's changed. kthxbai.
  14. The only thing I wanted it for in the first place was to try to keep mobs in Sleet for Rain of Arrows/Fistful/Explosive. Practical? Or am I wasting time animating it?
  15. . . . From Cold/*? Here's the proposed build. Currently at 25.

  16. Doms would not be it. My */Psi dom constantly moves, and she's the least moving one, seeing as most of her attack chain is centered in melee. If she really likes hanging back and staying at range, I'd say something like a Corruptor would be it.
  17. I really agree with Psyonico here. And six slotting it later would let you put in some IO sets (Efficacy Adapter).
  18. Just my two cents - I'm really not a fan. I was looking forward to more power proliferation than straight out switching. I prefer the villain ATs anyways.
  19. The ticket bug seems to still be happening. . . A friend did a mission solo, got 3200 tickets for it. Did it with a team of 5, the team got 600 total for it.

With Dual Builds, it SHOULD be two respecs. Might need to do both your builds, eh?

He didn't get a patch. There hasn't been one yet. Proof:

Okay, after some tinkering with my tinkered-with version of Mids, I thought I'd look at what I can do with a Mind/Elec dominator. While I'm not comfortable offering a data chunk - since it would necessitate you having edited your databases the same way I did, - I did think to provide this, an example long-forum export.
