Yes it does. First off, do you know how defense works in this game? If not, there are guides that you should read about it. Terms like Softcap apply and greatly influence defense based toons.
It is very hard to hit this Softcap with just the defense toggles from Ninjitsu, but Shadowmeld puts you there and way beyond it. -
I went all human. I have a triform build and a all human, but i havent played triform in nearly 20 levels. My human feels like a suped up scrapper. His ranged attacks are lower than the Nova, but his melee attack out do the Dwarf by so much. He has great AOE capablities (Solar flare, Photons, Dawn Strike,etc.).
I recomend going triform until about 26, then you can do a respec for all human. Triform will just increase your damage and surviability in the lower levels.
And yes you can survive in the higher levels. I have about 70% resistance to S/L damage and on teams, usually my resistance caps. Plus I have two self heals and a self rez.... -
My archery/devices is only 43, but heres what ive seen.
ROA isnt a pseudo pet.
5.) they do get external buffs. Ive seen FS on my Gun drone before.
6.) no -
Not sure my build is super amazing, but heres my human build.

I have a PB, but i really wished I went with a WS. Pbs are fun and all, but as mentioned earlier, their powers are basically borrowed from scrappers and blasters. WS just seem more unique
-
I have a question about the knockback in Solar Flare. In Footstomp, I slotted the Force Feedback chance of recharge proc. The way it worked was that it had a 10% chance of working for every enemy. For instance, if I were in a mob of 8 enemies, I would Footstomp and the proc would have 8 chances to go off.
My question is if Solar Flare works the same way. -
he has plenty of damage, the Darkest night does - dmg, which is basically like a + resistance to you
-
I have a 50 elec/shield that I run tfs with all the time. Something to keep in mind is that even though you are softcapped, you will take some damage. On that note, you need to consider getting a better regen rate.
Also you are going to have some major end issues. So i changed a couple sets and added some end reducers
If you put a proc in chain induction, it stops the chain.
Combat jumping is way over slotted. I know youre going for softcapped with those set bonuses, but you were already past it, so it just costs you more money and doesnt really help.

There you go -
You dominator bar fills as you damage enemies. Once it gets to 90%, you can fire it off. It last 90seconds (someone double check me on that). If you domination bar is still 90% or more when Domination recharges, then you can fire it off again. With enough global recharge, the Domination power recharges faster than you 90s. That means that you can fire it off again.
To sum it up, fast recharge means that the power is recharged before it wears off, meaning youcan use it again without Domination ever dropping. -
I just rolled a Mind/Elec for my theme. So far everything is great. Damage isnt all that high, but it gets the job done.
-
I have a huntsman and I used Aisynia's guide to make it. I used to have a crab, but respeced out of it. IMO, It is superior to a crab. Crabs have good damage and better resistance, but they are also very tight on powers and slots. Huntsman (as mentioned before) can stack up double leadership. I personally branched off and also took a patron for an extra pet, but I still have double Manuevers (which is a 20% defense boost to you and your team!).
Secondly, Huntsman have great debuffs. Asiynia's guide mentions that Huntsman are like mini rads, and I agree with her. If you follow the right chain, you can definately debuff a mob in their speed, defense, resistance and even to hit.
My chain is this. Web gernade-Venom Gernade-Build up- Heavy Burst- Frag-Dark Obliteration
Usually nothing survives but maybe some bosses and EBs. Then i can finish them off with my single target attacks.
Overall, Linea Alba said it best. If you wanna solo and make yourself awesome, then go crab. If you want to make your team awesome and be awesome at AOE too, go Huntsman -
does he mean 100 million??
-
I think ive seen you do this before.
-
Have to agree with others, one of the best guides. You really worked hard on this, and it shows. I was able to finish my Shield tank thanks to some of your suggestions. Superb job.
-
I finished my mids design more my bane. I softcapped my melee and range defenses.

I just recently hit 24 on my first VEAT. I wal already planning on doing a dual build, but i had to decided on what build to focus my money on. This guide really helped me on my bane builds and slotting, Though I differ on some views (such as taking a PPP) , I really liked this guide and even the posts questioning what the guide says.
I run lots of speed runs for ITFs and usually try to get crabs, but recently looked for more banes. The single target damage and debuffs are great for AVs. -
