  1. Its sort of a Ranged AoE. All enemies within a certain radius of the target will get -Dmg and all teammates within a certain radius of the target and all affected enemies will get +Dmg.

I find its best used after a Tank herds all the enemies together (so they are close) then the rest of the team charge in and fulcrum shift is fired off. Anyone in the middle gets the full effect and anyone further away gets less.
  2. I think you'd be better off sending a PM to Rockjaw. Bridger is in Bristol today, living it up at a Comic Convention. No one is watching the forums.

    Today of all days.

The WHOLE idea was I wanted to end my CoH career, be known for doing something "noteworthy" or "big enough to be remembered", rather than the flaming that goes around the game about me, when half of you don't even know the full facts about it?!?!

  4. Nuke them from space. Its the only way to be sure.

I usually work in a team to take Stalkers out. Have high perception and bait the stalker then hit him when he's getting ready to hit you. Usually they run at this point so its best to hold, immobilise or just hit them harder. Its when Stalkers start working in teams that you have to be worried lol.
  5. Is this being done on Test? They might actually change something in I7. Even though i doubt it.
  6. I remember that, people rubbished it. I can't remember the reason given as to why it was so bad and the thread has been deleted.

Maybe because it wouldn't be taken seriously in PvP and any official matches you wouldn't be allowed more than 1 AT of a certain type (for Pentad) or 2 of the same AT (player self imposed rules on Monday Nights). Also it wouldn't be fun for either team, using powers to stop people from playing. I'm pretty sure that a team of defenders with bubbles wouldn't actually be able to defeat a team of experienced players with varied ATs. One scrapper with Focused Accuracy and high defence and the bubblers would lose pretty quickly. Elude ftw!

Not to mention the Ice Tank taunting them all.
Illusion/Kinetic buffing everyone and sending Fear and Phantoms after the Defenders. What are you going to hold, he's invisible.
Blaster Ice/Energy, even after the I7 changes this would be my choice. Stacked high with 3 Increase Densitys (which are 50% more effective than I6 allowing him to walk through any bubble).
For the Defender to round off this little Pentad I would have to go with Rad/Rad.

I prefer to cooperate. Not compete.

Thanks, I think that sums it up for me overall. I just couldnt find the words.

saying it this way also sounds less negative

I like to cooperate to beat the competition
  8. Yeah the scrappers seemed to die the most, with Blasters coming out on top thanks to Defiance.
  9. I'm no controller expert, but the only thing I might change about this build is adding 2 acc enhancements to all the powers that require you to hit. Also Accelerate Metabolism has 4 recharge which only needs to be 3 thanks to Enhancement Diversification. I'm sure someone more experienced will point out powers that aren't needed.
  10. I enjoyed playing villains in the Arena tonight, I hope they keep on PvPing and find out what does and doesn't work. Its good to see villains in PvP outside of the zones too
  11. AoW had a base raid against MoX last night, discovered a few different bugs.

MoX raided us first and they all spawned in, in the same place and not randomly throughout.
After the raid had finished, we had trouble getting power back to various items (including the base raid teleporter).
Then we raided them and found we couldn't team at all without being logged out. When we logged back into the game we were all in random places around Atlas Park. Wasted 10 or 20 minutes of the attack just trying to find a way past this. When most people had got into the MoX base everyone crashed (including MoX). So we called it off till its fixed.
Looks like tonights raid is off too.
  12. Few months on and Circle of the Tarot, still has 35.3 mil prestige. Probably is a Dev/Test SG.
  13. If you take out the competition, they won't attack you back. For a while at least.
I can see some tempers rising if two relatively small SGs go up against each other and one of them gets destroyed badly.

Bases should be back up and functional for the next time IoP are available. So roughly it should take you a month to earn enough and a bit more influence. Also if the SG is taking part in Raids they would need at least 13/14 active members. So it should take roughly 14 people a month (2 hours a day? 30 days)

This number is going on my experience in Raids, I think the majority of SGs won't have this amount and probably should stay away from Base Raids. If they don't have more than 14 how do they expect to win against 16? 16 is currently the maximum allowed for a base raid.
  14. I think its the opposite for Heroes. I get jumped on all the time by heroes, for example two of my SG and I had finished doing a mission in Warburg and were stood outside chatting on TS for maybe a bit too long.
Another team of 3 heroes came in and tried to take us out. They failed and we fought for about 15 minutes. Then we took it to the Arena, where we had a few friendly matches.

Also there is that one hero that will attack any other hero... If they think they can get away with it.

It also means I'll be playing my alts so if you see any names that look like towns in Teesside, then give me a shout and PL me

Am I the only one that knows towns in Teesside? I'm not going to PL you btw
  16. Anyone can PvP, they just need the will to get in the Arena, or one of the zones. To be good at it and contribute to the team without giving away easy kills/points takes skill/knowledge/reactions.

Binds can help you speed up your reaction time, knowing what power to use and when comes through doing many battles against several different builds/ATs and Teams.

Learning the maps used in PvP can also help you become better, as each one has advantages and disadvantages.
The team might adjust their tactics depending on the map.

    Post I7 - PvP

I really like PvP in CoH, can't wait for RV. I can see it being really interesting to begin with as people go in to have a look. Might die off for a few months while the villains are all busy levelling, but then it should be great

never use hover (ever) but often AS flying heroes with fly, the -acc in fly seems minimal

The -acc in Fly was removed last September/October and they replaced it with Suppression.

    Nerfs to Debuffs

I heard that there would be little or no change in the effectiveness of defence in I7 when they alter the forumla on how it is worked out. Then it will scale better than it does now against higher lvl enemies.

So in the long run it is an improvement. Until I7 comes out it is a nerf. They just scaled down Debuffs because they would be too powerful in I7. Maybe they should have made them more powerful and then brought them back into line instead of making them weaker than making them more effective.

I doubt they will be as effective as they are now though.

    Anyone else confused? lol

    HO Swap thread

I have lvl 53 Recharge, End Reducers and a Range SOs (Tech Origin) or a load of Inf for a Hami-O. Preferably Damage/Range but will accept anything if i can fit it in my build.

    PvP Badges

I think Recluses Victory will have similar missions. One of which being a Patrol so that 50s can get the badge.
  22. I can help out with this, never failed an Eden Trial an I've done lots

Are you just not getting the Ambrosia? Why are you failing?
  23. I think I might end up living in Recluses Victory
I can see it being largely Hero controlled for the first month at least. I'm hoping alot of people will become interested in PvP because of it.
  24. Not sure if you'd have a problem with ambushes as the mobs might scale. In 8 man teams however who ever usually enters a lift first gets swamped by a large group of enemies all attacking the same target which usually results in death.
