Storm hope not. I just unlocked my judgement not ten minutes before the servers were shot down.

Both of these apply to me.
i20's grown on me though. I'm actually eager for downtime to finish again.

Edit: There we go! -Leaps onto Union-
  3. Edit: My bad. I hadn't noticed you were talking about the account server. Perhaps they'll come up with the servers after today's downtime.

Until the last week of the competition, that was the time of the no-civilians bug. It didn't particularly help.
  5. I like them.

That being said, I'm very biased. I was all over the competition, six of the new screens are mine (admittedly including the Tunnels of the Trolls, and that isn't very difficult to capture), and another seven use shots from the screens I submitted.
  6. When a friend and I duo, which is often enough, we're often flinging ourselves at mobs that should be too big for us with the attitude that if we die we die.

    We need insps.
  7. Make progress on that work you've been putting off. Even then, pop to the forums during short breaks.
  8. Yeah, I would have left around the time you started giving me commands like a henchman. If not then, then I'd have offered to reform the team once you kicked that guy.

I had to poke my head in at this. Unlslotted, this is undoubtedly true. You'll be tired if you teleport more than ten or so times, and find you have to get to a rooftop quickly to catch your breath or fall to the concrete below.

Once you have the endurance to manage it though, and once you've got a little range slotted, teleport is a monster. My namesake has it, and as long as nobody gets a head-start and we're travelling more than twenty feet, I almost always arrive first. With each teleport, the superspeeder gets lower on my screen until I can't see them anymore and am just this flash that keeps appearing in the distance.

Unslotted teleport is nasty. Slotted teleport is fantastic.
  10. Studio Manager, eh? My namesake's always being told to go and speak to Serpent Drummer in the RWZ. Something odd about the coding, but once you learn to ignore it it's kinda funny.

If it makes you feel any better, I will be in a crooked victorian house on a hill. And be taking plenty of tea. By jove, taking plenty of tea goes without saying, dear boy!

Seconded. Despite what we may want you to think, we aren't all gathering in our victorian living rooms next to the piano with our tea and Union Flags.

I actually- don't care about the wedding. So it'll just be another day to me. If I get a day of peace where I get to CoH, cool.
  13. Origins are an important part of character for me. I've left characters for days because I can't quite decide the perfect origin for them. At level twelve I even take a moment to consider which flavour of DOs would suit the character best.

    I can't imagine no origins.
  14. For the most part, the Praetorian storyline does not bother me either.

What bothers me is that it seems to be the only storyline at the moment.

    ! It's got chicken legs!

Please tell me that has stealth. "...But I can see you."
  16. I know it was beta and it was all about feeback and suggestions, but I'm still pleased with the Dual Pistols discussion where we practically told the devs we wanted swap ammo to be toggles instead of a cycling clicky.

Some back and forth discussion, and it was ready in a few days. Wonderful.

My #1 rule of Mayhem missions is don't fly much above ground level. Longbow eagle skypatrol swarms of death are horrible things, and suprisingly few people seem to realise that they're not an inevitable part of every mayhem.

More ontopic, I think redside content is a little harder, the red ATs are more prepared to complete them, but the content being more fun than the blueside stuff more than makes up for it.
  18. Just curious if anyone had seen a badge title coming in i20.

    Strong and Pretty
  19. My favourite is using World of Confusion or Synaptic Overload on Scrapyarder's army.

Suddenly those who're rebelling against oppression start bombing one another and it is marvellous.

I love this so much I'd actually forgotten it wasn't a default keybind. I don't like binding to letters by themselves, but like using modifiers.

    Ctrl for most stuff;
    Ctrl+i info
    Ctrl+p "em characterfittingemote$$afk"
    etceteraaa,

    Alt for frequent emotes;
    Alt+t "em talk"
    Alt+c "em cellphone"
    Alt+d "em disagree"

and as of Incarnate-times, Shift+i for other stuff.
    Currently only /Shift+i "toggle incarnate"

This has got me wondering just how many EUers are using their own username on an NA trial account. I'm in the same boat, as are quite a few Unionites I spoke to today. I find it a glimmer of funny in this tense atmosphere.

If you can think of a way that would result in less of an impact than that I'm sure the Devs would love to hear how to do it. *shrugs*
Firstly, I don't mean to call out, but I still don't understand how this is true. If there are 500 conflicts, surely 500 peoples' names would be affected regardless of whether it's NA-first, EU-first, Vet-first, or even gender-first. What makes the EU being affected less damaging than the NA? Genuine curiosity. No finger-pointing here.

Secondly, the level of people essentially saying 'You're EU, there's less of you, so deal with it' concerns me. For most complaints I've read, the issue is more that people don't want to lose their name to trial or inactive accounts. The fact that we're the ones losing out just because of our location is what we have a problem with. There are some who're complaining about the whole thing and saying the server merge should just be cancelled. As an EUer, I think these posters are just as whiney as you NAers think they are.

Thirdly, I don't like the people who aren't being affected by this telling us this 'is not a big deal'. If it wasn't a big deal, I don't think you'd be seeing the level of opposition that you are. This matters to some of us. Enough so that we want our voices heard on the matter.

Edit (I remembered my other point!): I also don't like (don't I sound moany?) this notion that the EU servers are moving to the NA list. As far as I'm concerned, two lists are becoming one. Neither server list is less important than the other.

Also, what was wrong with the official discussion thread? There's plenty of people on both sides of the disagreement there making fair and unfair points. I don't really understand why we needed another thread for discussing the same thing.

Thank you very much. I'm sure I speak for many of us when I say it's appreciated.

We had a short discussion on Union Chat earlier, and we all seem to be in a similar mindset; veteran status should be the deciding factor. Everyone speaking was going to be keeping Union as their home anyway, so it doesn't look like cries of abandonment are entirely justified.
  25. Count me as another who would prefer veterancy over region. I very much hope this is reconsidered.

If we get a reactivation weekend beforehand, I think I'm easily sorted. I think my global's taken on the NA servers by me, so changing my global will be easily fixed. Admittedly, that'd still mean I have to add EU to my login name as I've claimed that too, but I'm not too concerned about that. Nobody sees it. Of course, I'd prefer some way to purge my own NA trials as I regret getting them now, but just getting to keep my global over an unused trial account would be nice.

For some others, I feel for them. They were lucky to get those names on the EU servers in the first place.

I'm not enjoying some of what I'm reading in this thread, though. The people who are essentially saying 'your playerbase is smaller; suck it' concerns me. My thanks go out to those that are making helpful suggestions either side of the pond.
