Worked for me as well. Thanks!
  3. Great Story! Thank you for finding that and sharing.

    From Paragon Wiki...

Emperor Cole's Incarnate Control -Combat Levels
Emperor Cole's control over the forces of the Incarnate are preventing every hero, villain or in-between from utilizing their full strength. This is effectively causing you to fight at four combat levels lower than you actually are. Only those who have embarked on the path of the Incarnate and are utilizing an Alpha Incarnate ability are immune to the effect and fight at full strength.

Its not the IDF that zap your levels its Cole.

As far as the IDF at a lower level then we've run into them previously... So? Are there are other enemy groups that are only 1 level all the time?

By my count (including sets announced for Freedom) there are 1,059 powerset combinations. Now this would include some "overlap" between ATs, as, for example, both Scappers and Brutes can make Elec/Shield and the like. While the difference between the two in the example may not be enough to some, its enough for me.

Thats only Prim/Sec combinations. If you included APP/PPP (which since you can change at anytime, I personally would not) the choices sky rocket to 8,292.

You'd need 23 servers (at the 48 characters max) to have every possible combination we will soon have, and 9 builds per character, to cover all the APP/PPP choices. Personally, seems like there's enough potential for diveristy right now.

If you feel that you see the same powerset combinations over and over, that is not a issue with the game; it gives us plenty of options. That's the player base making those decisions. Changing the game wouldn't change the player base, nor the decisions that they are making. (At least not directly, although as others have mentioned, it might cause enough people to rage-quit, that it may).

Just my thoughts on the matter.

Edit: Also that didn't included the EAT or VEATs.
  7. These are amazing! Great job, and makes me want to go dig through my storage closet for my old Magic Cards... the girlfriend is going to hate you... Oh well!

My opinion is that Mars Attacks! succeeded in what it was trying to accomplish. It was meant to be a bad, campy, slightly nostalgic flick about little green men coming down with their ray guns of doom. Asking Mars Attack! to be a "great" movie, would be like asking Monty Python to be serious...
  9. Just finished "The Quickening" Trilogy by Fiona McIntosh

I spend almost $100 at a bookstore that was going out of business and had 40% off everything, so I have a lot to choose from. Get dizzy thinking of the choices...
  10. Synapse: 22 - 1 = 21
    Back Alley Brawler:
    Manticore: 17
    Sister Psyche: 30 + 1= 31

    Statesman: Dead
    Citadel: Dead
    Numina: Dead
    Positron: Dead

    Something Fun?

I'll add my vote to Plant/Storm... Mine's sitting at lvl 46 right now so I haven't tried her in incarnate stuff. She's a blast to play, rips through everything. Ya, Nemesis can be annoying, but take the AoE hold for those pesky ba.. *cough* If only other alts would stop distracting me I could finally...

    OH! SHINEY!
  12. Synapse: 20
    Back Alley Brawler: 46
    Manticore: 17 + 1= 18
    Positron: 3 -1 = 2
    Sister Psyche: 29

    Statesman: Dead
    Citadel: Dead
    Numina: Dead
  13. Too many good choices... head might explode...

I had to break mine in half, going between ones I thought had a impact on the genre and are great for that reason, and ones that I just simply enjoy for the great story (but maybe didn't have the impact).

My Votes (in no particular order)

    Lord of the Rings
    Foundation Trilogy
    20000 Leagues Under the Sea
    2001
    Once and Future King
    Dune
    Black Jewels Trilogy
    Shannara Series
    Codex Alera
    Riftwar

To TrueMetal: I agree about the Empire series that Feist/Wurts did.

Also kinda suprised the Jim Butcher's Codex Alera made the list but Dresden did not... Always that Dresden was the more popular of his series (love them both regardless)

  15. At work right now so can't take a detailed look at it, (besides I expect Dechs will chime in eventually anyway regarding the DA part of it) But just at glance I'd say, "Where's the touch of the nictus proc in Dark Regeneration?" That IO is just made for that power.

And just a sorta aside... I've debated this idea of a tanktroller as well, but was thinking of Dark/Stone (along taking the presence pool as you do) to get both stacking fears and stacking disorients and the soft controls of the knockdown... Oh yeah and the hold in Seismic Smash... Just food for thought

Does mace's disorient cause mobs to wander out of range of AAO and hurt your damage bonus? I don't have enough experience with mace to know if this is a valid con or not.
I've never really noticed any mobs wandering around with my WM/SD brute. Granted they're usually packed pretty tight with the taunt aura and the AoE damage that he's throwing around. The AoE potential is quiet nice on the WM/SD. Shield charge adds to this as well. I've seen many people use Shield Charge to open up the fight, and this has always seemed a waste to me. Run in, take the alpha and build the fury bar up, maybe throw CC or Whirling Mace while you get enough mobs in range to cap AAO then "charge" the group. Death insues...

The only thing I find annoying about the set is the constant redraw with SD 's status protection
  17. As far as the APP goes, I have Energy Master on my WM/SD brute. Superior Conditioning and Physical Perfection do make a big difference, and dont need a ton a slots, which is helpful since (on mine at least) I hade to six slot a lot of powers for the + Positional Def set bonuses. Phyiscal Perfection I slotted the same way I slot Stamina (+end proc and the +end from that set and then a common end mod IO) Superior conditioning, I just threw extra slot in and put common end mod IOs in both. Combine this with other set bonus and the 2 +Max End Accolades and I'm sitting at between 125 and 130 end, plus boosted recovery from Stam and Physical Perfection and the +end procs my end bar never moves. I cant remember the last time I had to pop a blue on him...
  18. Yeah I'm aware of the 'lovelyness' that is "SB PLZ!"

I'll check out your build later tonight once I get off the work computer. Thanks for the feedback.
  19. At the very least, for those pets with ranged attacks, it'd be nice if they'd stay when you told them to...

"Sit. Stay." *watches demon run off* "NO! Bad demon! Bad, bad Demon!" *sigh*

But, yeah the AI of pets is annoying especially compared to the some NPCs. Other one that comes to mind is Praetorian Clockwork that stay at range and dont huddle around like the Primal counterparts.

    League Question

Those are the max for those two trials that use the league feature. However for things like Mothership or Hami raids, this is were the league can come in handy especially for communication. Might be some other places too, but those are the main ones I've seen.

One thing I've been wondering about though, is with the League, will this open up CoP a little more? Do you still have to have 3 leaders from the same SG with base access or will the League system allow if the League leader's SG has access?
  21. Well I'm stuck at work and reading the Forum and Paragon Wiki are what I do to alleviate the soul devouring nature of work on Saturdays. So I was trying to come up with an idea for a new Character to play. I've always wanted a Kin/ but have never gotten around to rolling one up. (I hate altitis sometimes). I thought of an idea for trans-dimensional parasite (hence the siphoning powers of Kin/) and thought that /Dark would go with it the best conceptually. However; even if I have a great concept, I don't want to play something that is just a drain (pun intended). I couldn't find anything about these two combined, but I've played dark blast on defender and corruptor before so I'm familiar with that. I have my own thoughts on how these two would mesh, but would like some outside persepective.

And so, I open it up for discussion...
  22. From Paragon wiki regarding global enhancements (which Steadfast is)

Just like Set Bonuses, they are always on and providing their bonus even if the power they are slotted in is not active or even if it's greyed out due to exemplaring down in level. The one thing that turns these types of Special IOs off is if the character is exemplared more than three levels below the level of the Special Global IO itself.

  23. I'll third dark for reasons mentioned above... as much as I am worn out on dark, theres are reasons I have multiple toons with that set. It is just that good.
  24. Cool Cool Mousedroid, I'm on now, so send me a tell when you're done.
