I'd agree with Dark. It's an excellent set for any character and as Maestro said it stacks well with your Lich.

I'll third dark for reasons mentioned above... as much as I am worn out on dark, theres are reasons I have multiple toons with that set. It is just that good.
Not to mention that thanks to Issue 20, Twilight Grasp is now even better!

I'm actually having quite a lot of success with /traps so far. The zombies seem to do alright without me running around healing them and I'm greatly looking forward to using my lich as a nuke/seventh pet with the combo of detonator and soul extraction.
Dark is the natural pairing, and in many respects the best pairing. It matches up with the innate abilities of the pets very well.
Traps is really good on anything, though, and is always a possible secondary if the playstyle suits you.
I had to give up playing my level 43 necro/dark/soul ... it was too easy. Yeah, once you get the Lich, it's that good. Protip: make sure you slot the heck out of Darkest Night and Fearsome Stare, both of them for to-hit debuff. Those two powers, all by themselves, give you, your minions, and everybody on your team soft-capped def(all), plus reducing minion and lieutenant damage output by over 50%, plus reducing boss and up damage by some-odd percent. And that's before you count in the debuffs from the lich and the dark servant.
(That being said, the next time we get a 2XP weekend, I'm going to be really tempted to roll a necro/poison.)
Hey guys, just constructed a new MM costume last night, saved it on the PC ready to roll.
Just wondering, in your experiences, what would you pick as a secondary to go with Necromancy, for me I was tossing up between; Pain Domination, Dark Miasma, and Poison.
Any advice for a noob Necromancer?
