Is Exalted the new VIP server?

  3. Please allow the option to mix eye and body emission points for all auras. The newer ones have this option (for auras where it's appropriate) but the older ones haven't been updated yet, like glow. I'd love the ability to have a glowing body aura along with glowing eyes. But for the older ones I'm limited to doing fists+eyes.

For an example: Bio-Plasma can do body+eyes.

Heck even SNOW can can do Body+Eyes.

Please update this. It's not even new art so it's probably just a configuration issue right?

OK...I tricked it into creating a secondary shortcut (wonder why the first one had no target field?) but it says I need to make a separate test account? when did this change? (I've been offline a while and coming back...I was always able to get on the test server before...why the change?)
News to me, I just log in with my existing account. But if you were inactive then there will be a delay until the change in account status (to active) is recognized. (it has to sync)

Sorry; I wish I could believe that....

No.... I wish I could accept that and then at least I'd be mollified a little....

But... no... it's obvious that I hast been forsaken.... they forsooked me

I go now to rend my garments and gnash my teeth.

    Or something.

    So Beta server?

Another question... how is it that someone who has been part of CoH since early CoH beta and has been subscribed for most of the past SEVEN years and has been in every other beta.... not part of this one?

WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME YOUR FAITHFUL SERVANT?!??

Yeah. I think it's retaliation because I used to constantly submit bug reports asking for the sound FX to be corrected for bushes in Paragon City. They sound like concrete when you step on them.

They fixed it when COV rolled out but they wont do it for COH.
  10. Sorry, I don't see it. The pieces are rather generic. Perhaps any nanosuit-like features you see are because they draw on common sources. Is it the artificial muscles?

Look up McKibben Air Muscles. That general look seems to have found its way into a lot of sci-fi/cyberpunk in the past decade. Or maybe even further.

I dunno about you guys, but those pieces make me think Jay plays too much Crysis.

So basically all I have to do is put up every TO I get at the AH for 1 inf and hope someone uses the same one for a character trade and I get instant millions?

Anyone else see a problem here or am I misunderstanding this?

Nope, youve got it nailed XD

It really is a ridiculous power, and not one that you ever see in comic books, except as a plot hook, such as when a group of heroes are teleported up to an alien space ship to be used as pawns in a intergalactic gladiator game.

    LOL,... /QFT (JLU ftw!)

As for Device Blasters... Atleast you've got 100% Damage and trip-mine in the 20's.
Try playing a /Trap Corr that only has 75%, and no TripMine until 35.
I'll give ya a hint, the FF generator doesn't make up for it!

Wow, two mindless trolls in one thread. We should bottle this and sell it for bait.

I see three, but I'm not sure about the first two.
  15. No, it has to do with doubling the amount of padding that each blow of the Nerf bat lays DOWN on the players.

    [ QUOTE ]

Also, does 'Give the player[s] what they want' have to do with doubling the padding on the Nerf-bat?

Personally, I hate the word, and try never to use it when talking about the game to players. It carries a very negative stigma that I like to avoid whenever possible.

So does this mean no more nerfs? Or are you just going to use a different word for it?

  18. That sounds like me. Not accidentally of course; I just like screenshots. Opening my screenshot folder causes me system lag

I've had to transfer one folder to CDROM already and I've got another folder that I moved out of my City of Heroes folder already that I need to transfer to CDROM.

And, btw, to 'TheDeadlyShoe', regarding your sig, reinforce the shielding on that damned starboard fusion engine already! Sheesh. That's quite a design flaw.

I’ve found that assigning “printscreen” to my mouse in the City of Heroes keyboard configuration helps so I can bang off a succession of shots without needing to relocate my hands on the keyboard.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I would urge caution with this. I recall someone in PlanetSide who was complaining of lag. Come to find out, he had accidentally assigned his left-mouse-button (which is used to fire your weapon) as the Print Screen button, as well. So every time he was firing a shot, he was taking a screenshot as well. Needless to say, he wound up with thousands of screenshots, which was making his machine a little slow...

That said, as someone who takes quite a few screenshots, I'd agree that hitting your print-screen key repeatedly is a key. You never know when someone will be mid-pose, or something will be clipping, or whatever.

I'm gonna agree with UberGuy on this one. I think they're one of the few actual tactical challenges in the game. Most of the 'challenges' are just "you have to hit it more times" (AV vs. say a boss), and little else.

Ditto. Nightwidows are tough the first time, but once you know what they do they are just meat. My robots like their meat cooked, My stalkers skewer it, my corruptors irradiate it or freeze it, and my dominators like to sculpt it into pretty statues.

I think they are neat villians. Every once in a while I miss one in the spawn and someone calls it out mid-fight. Then she dies. It is good.

My Mastermind tried to carve one into an elephant statue once. He chipped and chipped away anything that didn't look like an elephant. Unfortunately, all I ended up with was a pile of dust.

Guess there wasn't an elephant in there

    Bodyguard

Of course, it would be nice if my minions didn't charge across the map and out of supremacy range attacking unknown enemies and thus rendering Bodyguard useless.

I'd call that a showstopping bug and it really bothers me that they're getting ready to go live with it unfixed.
  21. I third that. This long standing bug has to be fixed for all opponents and their modes of movement. Stunned opponents should act stunned and they should have their movement restricted to what ours is. If they are flying creatures for whom flight is not a normal state then they should be grounded and incapable of flight until the stun wears off and they are then able to resume flight.

And above all, other players should stop sugar coating this and mollycoddling the 'devs'. Recognize a bug as a bug. (and one for whom a fix is long overdue)

At higher levels Brutes get the power to summon Synapse and throw him at enemies as a range attack.

I think we'd prefer the ability to grab him by the ankles and use him as a human club.

OK - here's the most likely outcome...

If you own both games, you get all options - the new CoV sets will be accessible for your heroes.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think that would be a great move on your part, but it won't help those players who don't have both. Certainly they should go and GET COV, but that's not the correct solution to the problem that was described.

The message you replied to has nothing to do with making COV costume options available to heroes or vice a versa. It has to do with correcting a problem with costume options that have been with us since COH first went to beta 1.5 years ago.

Those same costume options were made available and then were corrected for COV players. Two things happened there as far as I can tell:

#1: the basic player models were COPIED and then those copied models were edited so that textures above the hairline skin properly. Those same corrections need to be made to the hero models

#2: the database of costume combinations was changed so that circuitry would appear in the full mask and mask with hair, allowing it to be combined with electron. Those same corrections need to be made to the hero costume database.

PLEASE add some or all of the great new options that Villains are receiving to Heroes' costume creator, at least for those players who own both CoV and CoH.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Noted. We'll see what we can do...

    [/ QUOTE ]

While you're at it, please also note that while villains are now able to combine electron + circuitry for the HEAD (without selecting helmet/hat/halfhelmet), heroes can not. Please fix this, we've been waiting over 1.5 years now. Also note that the hero models don't wrap the skin above the hairline properly (villain model does, so we have identical basic model but one behaves differently?). We're almost there, so let's go ahead and get this done sooner rather than later!
