Scrapper (This one is not as easy to determine)
Spines/__
[/ QUOTE ]
The last few times this topic has come up in a thread, it was generally felt that Spines is the least played powerset among scrappers. -

Fiery Aura, as a consequence of standing out in the sunlight. I've actually seen this one done; he was an old, powerful vampire who was too tough to die from sunlight, and was just burning all the time.

I've seen that one around as well. I love when people are thinking outside the box.
I'd go with a SS/Inv brute. A brutal viscious killer with no angst or remorse. I know, shocking, but I think it's a neat idea to make a vampire that kills people and drinks blood. I'd certainly be unique. -
I'd suggest people watch some of Reynold's more serious movies. He's actually pretty good at the serious stuff when given a chance. Smokin' Aces and the Amityville Horror remake spring to mind. Oh Melissa George, why can't Hollywood put you in more movies I actually want to see.

AE HAS RUIN THE GAMEPLAY OF CoH/CoV!
[/ QUOTE ]
No, it hasn't. -
I like the character counter in the character bio screen. That's nice. And the fact that they fixed bios as well.
My excitement shows in my newest bio:
"This is my bio.
This is the second line."
I smell a pulitzer. -

I find it weird that people know what they're up to like a month in advance. I don't even know what I'll be doing next week.
And the phat xp gain doesn't so much come from the double xp, but from the constant eight-man, rolling death squad teams that tend to go all weekend long.
If I have time off I'm going to try to hit 50 with my Kin/Nrg defender I've been playing for three bloody years. Get him to 50 and shelve him so I never have to hear 'sb plz' directed at me ever again. 12 levels shouldn't be too tough, hopefully. If I can get on. -
Only thing that keeps me from playing EM: Stuns. I despise powers that stun. I hate having to follow guys around.
That, and I hate the colour pink. Can't explain why, but I actually hate the colour pink.
That said, I still have plans to play an /EM tanker at some point. -
I remember going to a Hami raid back around I5, and the taunt tank had a pile of these types of taunts. Hundreds of 'em. About the only interesting part of the Hami raid.

Planet Smasher is likely my favourite.

I'll vote for Juggertha, though Aprosaath's was a close second.

Just an Update: July 2 is a no-go for me. I'll actually be moving into my new appartment that day unfortunately.
I'd still like to participate in some way, but it might be best to fill my spot with someone else. Everything's just too hectic right now for me to be able to guarantee anything, what with the move and the new job.
I'll check back in if I find anything else, but good luck anyways. -

1)is it still a good set?
2)What are the must have and the skippable powers?
3)Any slotting recommendations?
[/ QUOTE ]
1) You can take whirling hands if you want a pretty weak AoE, and hurl if you want some range, but neither are really spectacular.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hurl?
I think you're confusing EM/ with SS/. Unless im missing something here.
[/ QUOTE ]
Haha I have been playing my SS/fire brute too much before posting... yeah no hurl.
Other then that i still stand by my statements that EM is pretty boring nowdays.
[/ QUOTE ]
I wouldn't worry, in another /EM thread I responded to, another poster mentioned how helpful EM's self-heal made the set.
This community's been around so long we're going senile. -
I love the anonymity of Trick Arrow. Going completely unnoticed comes in handy from time to time. No 'sb plz!', no 'healz meh!'. Sure you might not get the recognition of those attention-mongering empaths or kins, but you are making a big difference for your team.
And it performs admirably solo, which is nice.
Standard 'Good job', or even a 'Well those guys were pushovers with all the debuffing.' -
My first level 50 levelled at Back Alley Brawler exclusively. Since then I usually go to whoever is closest.
But Ravenstorm is likely the least used given his location, although I just used him last night to train. -
I think we should keep gauntlet and get another inherent. Blasters get pseudo-mez protection and a damage buff, controllers get criticals holds and containment damage, so why not give tankers a second effect.
-
There's a mission in Striga (I think) that's filled with Mech Men which is a blast since robots don't run from burn.

Five years of people going out of their minds for customization, and it finally arrives to a resounding 'meh'.

Give people a silver lining, and they'll find a dark cloud to attach it to.

And there's a new line for my sig. -
Not so much with the 'needing' all the attacks, but his build has almost nothing for attacks. Granted, he's level 24 and can start getting some, but I would definitely not want to level that build. The only combo possible is Sweep, and that's not till high levels. The others all use Ablating Strike which is a fairly decent attack besides.
I'm planning to go the Blinding Feint->Attack Vitals route, so not heavy on attacks, but I feel it's good to have some early on. -
You can get the Freakshow and Devouring Earth in Talos as well. I usually only go to Crey's Folly to kill some Rikti Monkeys for the mission and wipe out grey con's of the other groups.

My theory is that recharge >>>> more damage buff.
The reason is with defiance, you already get a large damage buff the more often you attack, so building to attack faster generates more damage in and of itself.
[/ QUOTE ]
Mostly true,
The exceptions are when you are leading off with your nukes. You don't get any defiance with them. Usually its best to just pop a couple of reds before the aim/buildup.
[/ QUOTE ]
Devices can be good for that too, since some of the high level powers give crazy defiance boosts. Time Bomb is +52.8 for 15.5 seconds which is the highest for the set and a decent damage buff if you're planning a nuke. Plant one and let fly with the 7.5 seconds of buffed carnage. -

At the very least, I'd suggest respeccing to Fireheart's build. I have my Inv/DB tanker up to 28, and quite enjoy it, but the build you have is pretty rough.
No Ablating Strike? You need this ability for both of the first two combos (Empower and Weaken). You also need it for the Attack Vitals combo. It's also one of the better attacks you get early on.
No Blinding Feint? This one ends off the Empower combo so is nice to have. More than that, it's your 'build up' power, and a power you definitely want by 22 at the latest.
You seem to be going for a super tough tanker build, but you also need to balance the build with some attacks. All the mitigation in the world won't help if you can' deal damage.
Vengeful Slice at 28 is a thing of beauty, and I find myself referring to it as the 'big sexy'. I run the Empower combo (nimble-ablating-blinding) before using it, and it reminds me of an approaching train. Muffled rumbling and then bam! it's screaming past you. -

another question, is there diminishing returns on the set bonuses?
[/ QUOTE ]
Kind of. You can slot for up to 5 of the same bonuses. Slot for a sixth one and you get nothing. Look here for more info.
The best +Damage focused IO build I've managed was about +43 percent on an Inv/SS tanker build I'd planned. Never actually got around to running the build, but I can imagine that kinda damage would have been crazy. -
It's a self-rez. If you can't fit it in to the build, I wouldn't worry about it. You can only use it if you die, so not really crucial.
