    fire/stone help

You mention struggling to get to the soft-cap for S/L, but have you tried aiming for 32.5 instead of 45. It would put you a small purple away from the soft-cap, useful for tougher encounters, and ease up on the slotting you'd need to devote to extra def.

I can't open the build without a data chunk or working data link, but it certainly looks miles better than the first build you posted.
  2. Michael Clarke Duncan at 18? Nice enough guy, decent actor, but I probably wouldn't put him on the list. And not one spot behind Morgan Freeman.
  3. Gold Corp is planning to start up a new static team when I21 (finally) gets here. Basically an all-mutant concept, light RP kind of thing, running on Thursdays from 7 EST until about 9 EST. This will be our second group of mutants, with the first static team having made it to 50 not too long ago.

  5. Also, you get more benefit slotting end red into click powers, such as attacks, than you do in toggles. I generally slot about 1 SO worth of end red into most powers, more in some, less in others depending on the specific powers.

I would recommend posting a build for the scrapper forums to comment on. They've got the mad build skills down there.

Titan Sentinel can be used to export your current in-game build, and MIDs Hero Designer to plan it.
  6. I'd rather get hit out the blue, at least you're not waiting for the inevitable.

Tsunamis suck, especially because they're the freaking ninjas of natural disaster. You basically see nothing till it's right on you and then BAM! Like a damned monster rising out of the deep. And when you go out to help the dead and injured left behind, the real wave shows up and gives you a lesson in just how insignificant you really are. Also, megatsunamis, because the regular kind aren't awesome enough, like the Lituya Bay tsunami would be especially terrifying.

Why yes, a wave 500 feet taller than the Empire State Building did just come out of nowhere to mess up your day.
  7. Futurama should be higher, and Seinfeld should just die. Again. More painfully. With fire. And rabies.
  8. I recently started up a DP/Kin and have been thinking of what I want to do with it at 50. Since I'm mostly broke (and more than a little lazy) I'll be working towards picking up the pieces as I go.

Anyway, here's the build I've got so far. Going primarily for +Recharge and S/L defence. I just threw it together, so I'm still working on it. It's a bit of a mess in places so any advice would be appreciated.

As to the the first two topics: bike - win, tattoos - fail.

    Time Bomb?

Time Bomb's biggest hurdle is that it's part of Traps which is already one of the very best buff/debuff sets even with a garbage tier 9. Making it 'tier 9 awesome' would bork things without some other tweaks.
  11. All depends if it sucks or not. If not, then no.
  12. About 3 hours ago I finished Cryptonomicon for the fourth time.

See, I've always disliked this view as it tends to downplay the idea of 'evil' and of personal responsibility. Bad guys aren't bad, they're just misguided. It's okay Adolf, we know you meant well.

Not to mention I find the 'misguided' type of villain a cliche change of heart just waiting to happen. You know it's coming, so why even bother belabouring the point. Building a character with a built in 'escape hatch' just seems kind of lame.

I would go deeper into it, but I'm kind of busy arresting Polar Shift at the moment, and I've never been particularly good at either arguing or debating my point of view.

Edit: I suppose that means I prefer the 'disgusting' villain.

    fire/stone help

At first glance I would label this build nearly unplayable. Your attacks are woefully underslotted, sometimes not at all. You also seem to be going after recharge bonuses at the expense of your build. Tremor will be near useless, Seismic Smash is a spectacular attack and needs to be taken earlier and slotted. Also, you took boxing and kick with weave, but left out Tough, a major source of S/L resistance.

Fire/Stone is an extremely strong combination, combining a high damage primary with a hard-hitting, mitigation heavy secondary.
  15. Do Faces count? If so, female 14 is the only one I use on female characters.

That, or Work boots, crazy broken ankles and all.
  16. Go to the screen to load the costume, click on the costume with the body you want, click cancel. You should now have that body with whatever costume was there initially.
  17. This thread is pointless as the clearcut answer to the question of what is the 'weakest' invariably seems to be 'whatever Starflier happens to enjoy playing'.

Which happens to be a Grav/Sonic controller, and a solo Emp/AR defender.
  18. I quite liked it. Not perfect, but still entertaining.

    Also... BOOBIES!

Also, if it wasn't Morgan Freeman narrating, may the universe conspire to strike me down.
  19. Just what I wanted to hear.

  21. Aren't Controllers/MM's limited to VIP's? At least that's what I thought, but I don't pay attention much.
  22. From today's beta patch notes for Tankers:

    Quote:
Martial Arts/Storm Kick: This power now grants both positional and typed defense to lethal, smashing, fire, cold, energy and negative energy attacks.
  23. My original global was @Grymthorne (since that was my first character made) for all of a couple weeks. Then came the first chance to change and I switched to @Starflier, because it's more awesomer.

Other than that I've changed one character's name. My Cthulu-mythos inspired nun-turned-acolyte went from Broken Habit to Soulrazer. Broken Habit was pretty good, but Soulrazer is just better (in my opinion) and just happened to be free, so... yoink.
  24. Robotomic is an awesome name. Nice homage to an interesting comic character.
  25. Could also be what you happen to be fighting. Not many resist psi damage, but those that do tend to resist it a lot.
