Kinetic Combat is one of the expensive ones.
-
For a tanking brute I would go for Dark melee, WM, Axe, Stone, with Invl or SR (I think the price stone armour pays is too high).
-
I actually think Warshades are fine and that they recieve a significant payoff for having to put up with clunky mechanics - I don't really think that the same can be said for Peacebringers and its a bit of a shame really, they show a lot of promise but ultimatly end up falling a bit flat in my opinion.
-
I like the wishfull thinking tag on the thread - kind of sums up keldians
-
I agree that shifting to nova after using mire and eclipse sort-of works alright for warshades, as does shifting out to make pets and drain corpses.
The only reason to shift out for a peace bringer is to use reform essence. Build up has such a short duration that most of it is squandered in the time it takes to shift back to nova and find a suitable target. -
I for one would be very happy with a faster and smoother shape shift.
With current pacing of combats most foes have already been killed by the time you have switched forms in a team.
I a team situation like a task force you better off staying in nova for over 90% of it. -
I know that I for one would have liked the chance to play a Mu Guardian or Adept.
-
I prefer the the ability of being able to hold a sapper, freak stunner or a warwolf ect.
Quite often having a single target hold is invaluable. -
Im not sure but it looks like you skiped Nightfall, I would drop Blackstar or Moonbeam for Nightfall.
-
I think its overkill for mez protection, all you need is crab armour and fortification and you have more than anyone else.
-
Had the same problem with the carnie mission tonight, petitoned GM, waited 15 min and no response. Reset mission by logging and still no luck.
Had to abandon the SF. -
I would go with Earth. The pet likes to use seismic smash which also adds to the hold stacking - his attacks taunt as well for pesudo tanking, hes a heck of a lot tougher than jack frost.
-
Why wolfspider armour?
I'm sure you would do better with combat jumping, or aim, or TT Assault or pretty much anything else except CT Offensive (not great). -
Light form doesn't act like a break free.
Survival is not the problem for human peacebringers, reform essence recharges fast enough to keep you going in most cases even without running shields.
I think you will have to get a lot of global recharge to get a reasonable non-sucktastic dps chain. -
Multistrike is a much better set for damage auras than obliteration.
Obliteration is for nukes - it maximizes recharge over end redux (makes it good for lightning rod and shield charge) -
Have you thought of putting a force feedback chance for plus recharge proc in some of your AOE knockdown attacks?
Would get healing flames back quicker. -
I kind of had the feeling that might be the case.
While the I like the concept of a shapeshifter the in game mechanic of shifting is really klunky. I doesnt help much that the forms only have a rather limited range of ablilties.
I just think that because the human form modifiers are so gimp it makes for an Archtype with rather niche appeal. -
What if there was a third type of keldian that was 'born' on Earth and thus did not have shapeshifting.
Instead of Nova and Dwarf form it gets 4 points of mez protection in Absorbtion .
It uses the VEAT damage scalar.
Would it be popular? -
I think the warshade still wins on both its powersets, you can keep peaceshades and warbringers. mires, fluffy pets, eclipse, stygian circle all > peacebringer stuff.
-
All the melee sets have a ranged move already - its called taunt. Taunt mob, duck behind somthing, mob comes to you.
Giving total focus a slpash aoe effect seems reasonable given the amount of time it takes to animate. Maybe stun could use the clobber treatment. -
I'm having a hard time trying to see how an Ice/ tanker could have trouble holding aggro. Did you skip Chilling Embrace?
-
I think a SoA without TT manuvers ranks somewhere between a petless mastermind and a tauntless tank.
I would pug with them but I would not invite them to my friends list. I would think twice before asking them to a group doing a challenging TF. -
The thing is its not just awesome in a team, its awesome solo too.
Most tanks/brutes would give their left arm to get such a high bonus global def toggle at such a cheap endurance cost, and if you are into your IOs it makes softcapping def pretty easy -
You might want to consider Mercs/Pain Domination.
The mercs are quite tough and they prefer ranged so they hang around the MM getting heals. Pain Domination will be a bit less tedious than having to re-apply two bubbles to six pets every four minutes.
When you get some spare inf you can set the pets up with the achillies heel resistance debuff proc and the lady grey negative damage procs to give them a bit of a damage boost.
