  1. So, I've been enjoying this character so far. I haven't heard much good about Broadsword, but it seems to do well enough, especially with the changes. The build is heavy on defense, and fairly light on recharge. Haven't figured out an alpha for it yet, but I'll probably figure that out after I actually get him to 50.

  3. Thanks for the advice everyone, I suppose I'd better go grab some temporary powers and accolades before the next time I run it!
  4. Did not go well.

    The first four missions went off flawlessly. Crimson is a chump, Slinger tickled a bit, the Future Freedom Phalanx was out of H-Boosters, and Ms. Liberty's belt failed her.

    We get to Atlas, clear around the outside of the statue a bit, made some jokes about the redshirt being the true threat, and someone agroed the Heroes on accident. We wipe, figure "No big deal, we'll get them next time!" Second time comes around, we seem to be doing fairly well, most of the team is on Psyche because Numina wanted to hang out with the redshirt, and then BAM. I'm dead. Two hits got through at once. No one has a rez, we wipe again. We repeated this cycle 4 or 5 times, trying different things like loading up on oranges and pulling them to the foot, and we did manage to kill the redshirt before calling it. Any suggestions on what to do differently? I was the only tank, we had a brute, stalker, stormie, cold domination, SoA, time manip, and some other I can't remember. Seemed a solid team make up throughout. I suppose it just comes down to luck of the draw, and will of the Random Number Generator. Sorry for the rant.

    As a side note: Build is soft-capped vs. Incarnates. The Phalanx only had a 9% chance to hit me each time, which I think is their minimum.
  5. I think, if you take a small gun, the gloves hide it pretty well. If you have a second or even third build, you could try it out on that one instead of your main build.
  6. Alright. I made a few changes to the build I had originally...but it's still not up to the specifications you posted, Werner. Maybe I need to drop some powers and pick up others, but I'm not sure which ones to change. Shockwave, maybe? What is a good attack chain for a claws? FU -> Eviscerate -> Slash -> Focus?

  7. I'm sure it can be done, but can you guys give me a hint as to what my build goals should be? I have a build right now with 32.5% defense to S/L/E/N and about 50% recharge, but I'm sure that's not enough. Any of the scrapper gurus out there mind tossing a newbie to this type of thing some advice?
  8. I use that slotting when I'm chasing slot bonuses for E/N defense, since it gives more then 6 slotting mako's do. Either way I go on DA, it'll still rock. Thing is, this build is looking to be weak on fire, psi, and toxic...and I know that iTrials tend to have quite a bit of all three. Woohoo.
  9. Alright! Got her softcapped with room to spare, but I want to know what everyone else thinks. I might replace the Steadfast Res/End in permafrost with a Glad +3% Def when I can, just for a lil extra defense against those darned Romans, but at the moment she's within a purple from Incarnate Softcap. Let me know if you see room for improvement!

  13. I've realized that my Claws Stalker will rarely be the best character on a team, if ever. So, I've decided to do most of my damage via Shockwave. Because, let's face it, KBing everything is fun, and makes me feel all warm and tingly inside.
  14. I'm liking your build a lot Errant, it's a lot more rounded then mine is. I'd like to note, and I'm not sure if I addressed this in my original build because I went and made a few changes to it, that Kuji-In Rin doesn't seem to negate KB effects. To counter that, put a -kb IO in both Combat Jumping and Super Jumping, and moved some other slots around. Here is the new build.

  15. Hello everyone! My first stalker is currently level 45, so I decided to tinker around with mids and come up with something. I'm not sure how to turn off the extra +def for being hidden, so I just turned hide off and built for 42.5% defense without it on. Let me know what you think about it.

    Quick Question

    So, I rolled a wp/dm tanker a few weeks ago, and have really enjoyed it so far. He's currently level 34, and nigh untouchable. Thing is, he seems really light on anything AoE so far. I really like to herd up two groups at once, but the lack of AoE damage can make it a bit difficult to keep aggro on all the enemies at once. So far, I've gotten by with the help of my good friend the Tab key, and taunting anything that even looks at someone else.

    So, the question. Does it get easier to hold agro over large groups once I get to the epic and patron power pools? And, on that topic, which power pools would you consider *best* for me to take?
  18. All-Human Warshade, solo at +0/x4. t3 alpha, t1 interface and t2 judgement, lots of breakfrees and 2 hospital trips. Did "Into the Light" in about 30 minutes.
  19. I noticed the issues I had with recharge and the force feedbacks...note to self: make sure your not basing your uber-leet build off of procs. Went ahead and remade it some, but I'm still tweaking it. Should be done by the time I hit 50 on this fella, but it's gonna be quite a bit more explensive then I had hoped. O well, that's how it goes.

  21. So, I've been having a lot of fun with my lowbie WS (He's now about level 33) and, after reading some of the guides, decided to try to make a build for him. It has a perma-eclipse and perma-hasten, caps resistance with 6 enemies, and therefore I decided not to take any shields and instead grabbed the Leadership pool. Seems a bit heavy on end use still, but I tried to buff up the Recovery some to take care of that. Here it is!

    I don't have a lot of money on each toon, but I have a lot of toons, so I can probably go with a mid-range budget. I want to be able to tank the new content without too much difficulty, and thats about it.
