Oh, also, regarding the soft-cap: In options, under the second tab, there's a host of conditions you can set on your build for being "in-game". Just ensure teh box for "Attacked" is checked, and you'll always see your suppressed Defense numbers.

I'm liking your build a lot Errant, it's a lot more rounded then mine is. I'd like to note, and I'm not sure if I addressed this in my original build because I went and made a few changes to it, that Kuji-In Rin doesn't seem to negate KB effects. To counter that, put a -kb IO in both Combat Jumping and Super Jumping, and moved some other slots around. Here is the new build.
