Quote:I believe there's only 2 morality missions per alignment, per level grouping, but I could be wrong. You can change alignments as often as you wish.1. Is there a limit to the # Morality missions available (besides the tips per hours) or how many times a character can change alignment?
Quote:2. If I've confirmed a character's alignment once, then change my mind; would I need to do 2 morality missions to change alignment? (1 to "undo" my previous confirmation, and a 2nd to change alignment?)
Quote:3. Are there degrees of heroism/villainy? i.e. Any difference between a 1x confirmed hero compared to a 2x confirmed hero?
Quote:4. If I get Alignment points as a hero (without spending it) and become a villain, do I lose the previous alignment points?
Quote:4. Just out of curiosity: If I alternate between hero/villain alignment missions, does it have any effect besides taking longer to collect enough for a morality mission?
Take note, though, that except for the instant change token, you do have to go through the Rogue and Vigilante alignments before you can switch to the opposing faction. Also, before you can collect Alignment Merits, you have to reconfirm your Hero/Villain status. So, for example, you start as Hero, do 10 tips and a morality to switch to Vigilante, then do 10 more tips and morality to switch to Villain, you will still have to do 10 more tips and a morality to confirm your Villain alignment. You will receive only Reward Merits for that morality mission. Only after that will you be able to receive Alignment Merits for further morality missions and SSAs. -
Core gives a 6% buff, which is doubled for pets. The in-game info only shows the pet stat though. As Aggelakis says, it will run for two minutes, then have two minutes recharge.

I'm pretty sure that they all do give a buff in addition to the buff from when they're turned on. I know that Support gives an Endurance discount at all times, and Assault gives a damage bonus. Those items show up in my combat numbers regardless of whether the power is toggled on or not.

Uh, you do realize that the ParagonWiki is a player created, player controlled, and player updated resource, don't you? Petitioning won't do a thing and NCSoft/Paragon Studios have nothing to do with it. You can register with CoHTitan and edit the wiki yourself if you disagree with something. Of course, that doesn't stop someone else from changing anything you might write as well.

Quote:(for some reason a lot of Empaths seem to distribute AB based on who needs the Endurance rather than who benefits from the recharge).Quote:This is how I operate with my AB. If you have no endurance, all you can do is brawl. That **** is whack, yo. Have some endurance++!
(Unless there is a Granite user on board, then they get AB because the recharge for them is monstrously delicious. They can attack like a normal character! But that doesn't happen often, cos Granite isn't needed in most content, so AB gets spread around to the endurance abusers.) -
I've never killed anything in this that didn't count toward the totals, at least on purpose, and I've gotten the badge on plenty of characters.

It seems likely. Colonel mentions 4 ways to rez someone. Just off the top of my head, there would be one with the Empathy set, the Day Job one, the temp power recipe, and that's all I can think of that Colonel could consistently get without resorting to the Medicine pool.

Quote:So let's take a look at the odds here. You're not going to get a drop when you kill someone while the person is on your defeat list. That's a 5 minute timer (if you get a drop, there's a 10 minute timer before you can get another one). So, it you time it perfectly that you get your kill the moment the timer is up, the maximum number of kills that a drop is available in a 24 hour period is 60 minutes/5 minutes = 12 chances per hour * 24 hours = 288. So at best you've had 288 rolls at what I've heard is a 1 in several thousand chance. You haven't even hit a valid statistical sampling, much less enough to decide it's improbable.Ok fair enough .... just never gone 24 straight hours of running a farm without a drop. Seems improbable
Having said all that, I once had 2 PvP drops in a 15 minute period. Blew me away (though they weren't the good ones).
So, as I said. Random is still random. -

You don't need to unlock the slot to be able to craft the power. I was able to craft my T4 Hybrid power in a minute when the slot went live. The only barrier was unlocking the slot so I could actually place the T4 in there.

I'll be missing this one, as I'll be off to Comic-Con.

Quote:As an alternative, Defraggler is a free disk defragger with a gui that can also defrag individual folders or files.THowever, this utility,Contig.exe, is a command line utility that is much faster, and you can target it at the game directory only, so it saves a lot of time. I run it after every game update. The first run took forever, but now it is about a 10-15 minute process as it only has to fix files touched by the last update.
It is available here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb897428.aspx
Read the page, and it gives good instructions how to use it. Essentially, install it. Then open a command prompt and change to the directory you want to defragment. I think the default installation is C:\Program Files (x86)\NCsoft\City of Heroes, so type
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCsoft\City of Heroes" and hit enter.
then type
contig -s -v *.*
hit enter and walk away until done. If you don't have any experience with the command prompt, reply and I'll try to give you a better step by step process. -
Quote:Yes, to do the various invention system stuff you have to either be VIP, buy a 30 day invention license, or be tier 7 in Paragon Rewards. My problem is that i dont have a quest from Admissions Officer Lenk, and I dont have him in my contacts so i dont know how to salvage and craft...
When im talking to him, he telling me that he dont have nothing for me now.
Can you help me? Im not a VIP player, maybe crafting is only for people who pay for the game. -
Buy a cheap, *new* copy of Going Rogue from Amazon. You'll get alignment system, Praetoria, a month of VIP, plus a bunch of other unlocks for really cheap, much cheaper than buying it on the paragon market.

I'll see if I can post pictures to help, so you can see about the right buttons, but try this:
Click "User CP"
Edit Options (Mes options in French)
And then all the way down
And change it to english or forum default.
Hope that helps -
You do have to realize that you're downloading over 4 gigs of game and you are limited by your internet download speed. That said, you do want to get it to actively download rather than download in the background. Go back to or restart the launcher, right click on City of Heroes and select Update or Repair, not sure exactly what it says for a new install. It should then start updating faster.

There is a big difference in the amount of recharge to take into account. 20% recharge on Siphon Speed vs 70% on Hasten. It does stack, though it takes a lot of work to keep it up.

Thanks for all this. I'm quite happy with the badges I did get and the trial isn't all that annoying anymore, so had fun as well.
So when is The Really Hard Way run? -
Quote:ParagonWiki.com, only resource you need. You can also read up on a lot of the lore there.(Also, any good suggestions for resources for new players? I already checked out the idiot's guide to RP and the LiveJournal link, but I'm worried I might've missed something I should've read.)
Avoid the Wikia site, it's outdated, to say the least.
