Now, when you say purchased, do you mean you purchased them off the auction house (Wentworths/Black Market) or you purchased them off of the Paragon Market with points? Because the SBE (Store Bought Enhancements) opens up a slightly different set of rules, as they are Attuned.
  2. Checking the Guide to Guides thread shows a rather old thread, Accolade Hunting for Heroes, but the info in it doesn't appear to be too badly out of date. The only really inaccurate info I see is Faultline explore badge location and Illusionist badge requirements. Using VidiotMaps patch will mean you don't need the loc info anyway, and Illusionist is much easier to get now.

There is no 120 cool down on celerity stealth in a toggle unless you have zoned recently. They changed the way procs such as Stealth (and Kismet +Acc, Numina +regen, etc) act in toggles a while ago so that they will turn off when the toggle is turned off. If you zone, though, you will keep the proc effect for 120 after you zone. That has something to do with buffs losing track of who cast them when you zone.

    Edit: Wiki link, I18 changes

Remember to switch to your second build rather than just write all those IOs off as a lose and dump them. That way if you decide to become VIP again down the road you will still have them available.

Here's a thread with a Dev post on the subject.

Right click the tab you want League to appear in. In this case, your Chat tab. Select League on the right, click the button to add it to the left, click ok. Then right click the Global tab, click League where it appears on the left, move it to the right and click ok.

Once you get your tabs set up the way you want, type /ChatSave. Then if it gets messed up in the future or if you want it the same way on another character, you can just type /ChatLoad

If I recall, the starter kit can only be used on a new account. I believe it will tell you that if you try to add it to an existing account.

I'm not too sure how well the topic of power levelling goes over on the forums due to being away for quite some time and just had a quick question about it. If I were to power level my own toons, would it be better to go with +4/x8 or +0/x8, or maybe somewhere in between?
Depends upon your farming character. You want to be able to kill as many as you can as fast as possible. Start low and ramp it up as you go. When you hit the point that it takes a while to kill off the toughest creatures, back it down. You can use Hero Stats to track your xp/second. Make a run, note the xp/sec, clear data, and raise the level. When the xp/sec starts to drop, go back to the last setting and farm away.
  7. It is possible to remove graphic fx on a case by case basis, but I'm not sure who has the tools anymore and it requires messing around in places we do not mention.

I did it once a couple years ago for the sonic bubbles but that solution doesn't work anymore (I probably should remove the links and files).

This should have given you the badge unless something is broke. Have you checked to make sure you don't already have the badge and portal?
  9. See the Entrusted with a Secret badge page. It lists all the ways you can get the badge which gives you the portal.
  10. Have you tried reducing the particle settings?

Menu -> Options -> Graphics and Audio tab -> Max Particle Count

Advanced Graphic Settings probably needs to be enabled.
  11. Also, check your active contact list for lower level contacts still there. One of them might have the intro for you already.
  12. It you're talking about the Paragon Market (not the in game Black Market), those are Store Bought Enhancements (SBE) and are Attuned. Check the links for full info.

I just tested and these no longer work. I still need to test /requestexitmission

edit: I moved these commands to the obsolete list

I remember it being mentioned in this thread (which you posted in) but I thought it was removed a patch or two later. I don't know if it currently works or not. It's not listed in the /Window_Names command, but it doesn't look like that list has been kept up to date.

edit: Nope, /window_show convertenhancement doesn't open the converter window.

If it's a proc, you won't have the bonus if the power is greyed out. From what I understand, you get the bonus no matter the level, which follows the rule of PvP set bonuses.
  16. Make sure you check the talk page. There's a bunch still not on the main page.

I'm just happy someone actually took a closer look.

My On Notices are all out of date, though. I need to figure out some more things to put there. But I've been pretty happy with the game lately.

Sorry, lost it there for a sec, but I'm feeling much better now.

I can't see any reason why it would. The data transfered while playing between the server and your computer doesn't include graphical data. The patches are what gets the graphic data onto your computer. It's just info like where the enemies are at, what moves they're doing, where they're heading to. Take a look at a demo record and that should be basically what's going between server and your computer.

It's not 100% foolproof in theory, but I've never encountered a situation where the name was taken and the same as the global; it was always free.
One way to check on this is to use caps in strange places. It's pretty unlikely that someone would use something like '@StuPENdOUs mAn' as their global. If the global comes back the same what you checked on, it's pretty unlikely that it's taken.
  22. There aren't solo incarnate trials. By solo incarnate, I'd assume they mean playing through Dark Astoria, which is incarnate content.
  23. Open your map, there should be a green (?) spot indicating the where the Portal to Ouro is.
  24. According to my network monitor, CoH has used from 167 megs to 400 megs each week for the past four weeks and the high point included a patch. That's playing 2-4 hours a day with a bit more on the weekends.
