Myself and Imaginary dominating Sirens a few nights back, 2 Heroes vs 8-12 Villains.
Nothing quite like it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Now I wouldnt call the fact that you were versus a number of lowish lvl experimental builds while popping copious amounts of inspirations dominating, or for that matter a funny story (guess its all a matter of personal humour), its a feat any can pull off with lvl 50 trays. Doing the same while relying on pure skill and empty trays could possibly raise a smile though.
Oh and I personally killed the two of you far more times than you killed me -

A final alternative is to take Fly and AS people while hovering above them.

doesnt work, the aoe isnt located just to the graphic, more so it is a spherical aoe so even if you were floating above the ground you would still be getting hit by mud pots, caltrops etc etc.
best bet is to take spines -
last couple of nights in warburg have been great, loads of people in there with lots of fighting and precious little trashtalk.
Last night was mad with a ton of great people in there, must ahve been 30+ around the globe as I was in an 8 man team and it was still a sea of orange there, tactics seemed to go pretty much by the wayside due to the way the dynamics changed so fast with heroes and villains jumping into the fray, taunts going off all the time. Im sure I must ahve killstolen and had kills stolen from me but that never bothered me anyway (nor anyone else last night)
Warburg is a crap map imo, its too busy (by busy I mean programing details) and the server lags terribly with a lareg amount of people about and the mobs are not fair on squishies if they get knocked into/accidently agro them but the people made the night and I hope it stays like this. Sirens is getting a bit whingey IMO and the extra dynamics that up the lvl 38 powers bring is a lot more fun.
Heres hoping warburg becomes the staple pvp zone, at least till i7 -

Heh yup, seen them both and their both ones to check out. Worthy mention has to be slyfe, who might i say has one unique build for a level 40 stalker.......no travel power just hasten from speed pool and concealment pool, the sacrifices stalkers make to fit in such powers eh?
[/ QUOTE ]
wow thats more hardcore than mine, I couldnt do without my travel powers -

If it worked like Hurricane however it would be a blasters best friend. Hell, I'd respec for it.
I don't think giving it the same animation of a defender/storm power is the right thing to do, especially since it's considered 'anti-Stalker'.
[/ QUOTE ]
thats not what I meant I was talking graphical as opposed to changing anything in the power, more like the tonrnado effect that can get locked on you, hell they could leave the wind effect as it is and just drop the stupid spinning movement.
[/ QUOTE ]
isn't that what the power is supposed to be about tho? spinning arond really fast in a whirlwind to knock enemies back
[/ QUOTE ]
whirlwind could just be a whirlwind around you in the same context as the hurricane power -

hmm, strange, after reading this thread and the one on the US boards nothing was said about it actually being changed, Castle says he is still figuring out how rooted attacks could be applied to the power. So basically the only thing that is confirmed is that he may be thinking about the programing, not that anything is being done.
Personally I would prefer a hurricane type animation for it (i.e rotating winds) instead of the stupid spinning top animation it currently has. -

I'm trying hard to see the positive or humorous aspect of this statement, but I'm not being very successful.
Please keep things pleasant on these boards.

I guess its all down to the different ways that you communicate with people that you know and/or are your friends. The same thing from a friend or a stranger can have two totally different meanings. -

This isn't a complaint, but more something that made me laugh.
I was in Siren's on my Ice/Dark, having a quick look around. There weren't many people, but there was a /regen Scrapper around. At one point, I saw him nearby, and threw Darkest Night on him to stop him from killing me. A series of tells started up in which he eventually said something along the lines of "well try to kill me, then."
My Ice/Dark has the worst endurance problems of any character I've played. I can kill regens, but only if there's someone to SB me, or I have a tray full of blues... and I had neither. Still, I had a go at him, and knocked a good chunk of his HP off before he healed himself. No way I could kill him, but with Darkest Night and Fearsome Stare, he couldn't kill me either. I eventually headed off, planning on leaving, which is when this fantastic conversation came about (paraphrased because I don't remember exactly):
Scrapper: see noob corruptors like you cant kill me.
Me: Looks like you can't kill me either, so what does that make you?
Scrapper: only becaue you use your fear
I pointed out that I only couldn't kill him because he was using his regen powers, and he stopped insulting me, so I'm hoping he might have got the point.
I guess at least he didn't accuse me of cheating for using Darkest Night, which has happened to me once... anyone else received any trash talk with logic so amazing it's made your head hurt?
[/ QUOTE ]
seeing as he seemed to accept your argument instead of just repeating he seems to be one of the more intelligent miscreants in the pvp zones -
[ QUOTE ]
Well, after a couple of hours of not knowing whether we were doing it right or not we finally managed to kill him!
A big thank you to Xelina, Shaolin Master, Lord SatanaZ, Dark Corrupter, D.D, Chariman Meow and Protron for helping us spawn and take the big baddy down.
A very big sorry to Lord SatanaZ, we just happened across him by accident (Well, Dark Corrupter ran into him on his way to sell before logging) but couldn't spot you on the search bar. The Dominion of Darkness will be only too happy to help you same time next week. (Saturday 12:00 GMT, meet up at the Nerva Wreck). Only fair considering you were mowing those baddies down like anything!
Also just an idea, we ran into Caleb during the day. And I know that whilst there were 5 of us killing Nerva Spectral Daemons at that time there were still a heck of a lot on Thorn Isle that were respawning far too fast for us to make up for it. It's lead me to believe that maybe it's a case of number of enemies killed and not a percentage by sundown.
If anybody is interested in the badge next week please pos away or feel free to just meet up at the wreck. We were aimlessly searching and killing for about an hour but it was well worth it!
[/ QUOTE ]
Its a percentage by sundown, you found him in the day because the git is always flying above out of the way so can be hard to spot him, an example of this was when people kept doing the technique to spawn him and in actua;ity 3 Calebs were spawned by the time anyone actually noticed them high above in the air -
PVE - EM/Regen
PVP - Spines/EA
IMO -

I went with radiation/Ice,prolly the most powerful combo in the game for PvP,only if they had storm..........mmmmmm storm/ice corrupter FTW!!!
[/ QUOTE ]
You mean you went Ice/Rad :P -
Personally wouldnt bother with ranges in TP as the increase in distance is nominal in my experience, the slots would be better served putting an extra damage slot in AS and ET, its only 5% but can make all the difference in PVP. I would advise to take 4 slots out of TP and put 1 in AS, 1 in ET and the other two in CJ as that combined with 3 slotted hurdle is akin to super jump and isnt suppressed as you said.
Otherwise once you settle in and have got used to it, it will rule. Just taking entropy from the EA secondary is a very effective way to go as I know only too well -
Flicknife got her 5th lvl 40 yesterday, what a lvling machine!!!!

PS. I dont say granite is unbeatable, but it sure takes a helluva lot of effort to do so if people dont give up

Stone tanks can be 2 shotted by any stalker, if they have disruption field on them (from /sonic corruptors). Its not that big a problem.
Edit: false, tankers will have more hp at 50, so its 3 shotted.

unless they have used earths embrace
Granites will not be a good way to get the flag IMO stacked holds and slows really do make them stationary -

[...] But seriously, why arent there as many in warburg [...]
[/ QUOTE ]
Because FFA blows moist donkey balls in comparison to HvV?
There's nothing more I'd love than to be ganked by fellow "heroes" besides villains, heh.
[/ QUOTE ]
I kind of agree and dont agree, nothing wrong with a free for all zone but warburg isnt a free for all zone. If heros and villains could team then there would be totally new dynamics we could explore in preparation for the changing sides TF. They way its currently set up just seems half [censored] imo. -
[ QUOTE ]
Maybe is time we start moving the PvP encounters to higher levels since level 50 pvp is on the way
[/ QUOTE ]
Just a pity that the warburg map sucks and the roaming titans can mean death for squishies quickly :/
But yeah, it was a lot of fun and did ping pong back and forwards, we swapped locations so as one team was not always doing all the running, allowed the teams to group and ready themselves before starting too.
Sadly we lost some players and against greater odds had to restructure team for optimal villain kickingI called in TG and swapped to my empath and spammed CM for all it was worth, got it up to 14 stacked on TG
This meant even though I could get stunned/held TG always had immunity from holds/immobs/disorients and could protect me
Funny thing my emp was the only one who didnt die
pity I find him boring to play really
Think that mutual respect and fair play from great players was what made it such fun. -

Even when it had that respec bug where you only got only 2 coolant belts. Anyone remember that? Oooh what a pain ot was.
[/ QUOTE ]
Had to do it once with no coolant belts once, wasnt best pleased, fortunately the team was full of damn good players, finished it with about 15% reactor health left
