In a PvP zone anything goes, anything. Being attacked by other players is to be expected, use of all powers are the friggin' law! Insps/temps/jumping like a monkey! ANYTHING!
If you want a proper duel, I suggest you take it to the arena.
There are numerous threads/discussions in this section about PvP zones/duels within.
(Sorry to seem a lil harsh, but if anyone else brings this up again i'll personally duel them in the arena!)

short curcuit drains and prevents it from recovering afterwards, with that, power sink and most attacks doing some drain once its at 0 you are not getting it back unless dead of carrying blues -

I'd rather use aid self than hibernate, quicker to use, quicker to replenish health and taunt aura is still working whilst using it.
I have hibernate as a panic button, and have rarely needed it so far.

you should use it more its a great power, just because you go into hibernate it doesnt deactivate any taunts, just the aura is no longer being applied. Its got perfect synergy for SS as when rage crashes and the -def is applied you just hibernate and come out fighting. -

as stated pay NO heed to the ingame 'superior' descriptions as they are farcical to say the least, why they dont give us figures is anyones guess but fortunately the herobuilders are pretty good.

It should be a controller primary IMO, its just got that much control in it, I have a level 50 fire/TA and I love it, various autohits, massive slows, a single person heal and an awesome top tier aoe hold and and drain that has no -acc in it like controller aoes holds (-20%) and it lasts for a base of 30 seconds and 60 second hold when slotted. TA is a much overlooked set in all aspects though I personally prefer it as a controller primary

Just go into rest when you go afk, you CANNOT be TPd then from the safezone (still get sniped though)

Long overdue and why they didnt introduce this before is anyones guess but for those who PVP an ddont read patch notes
XP debt in PvP has been adjusted. If a player is defeated by another player, no debt is given. If a player is damaged by another player and then defeated by NPCs, debt is given proportional to the amount of damage inflicted by NPCs.
so if a npc beats u up for 99% of your health and a pc gets the last 1% you get no debt, if a pc hits you for 99% of health and a npc hits you for 1% you get 1% debt now (theoretically) -
rated duels vs a mm is not acceptable imo as they will not have the end to produce their pets/defence before they have died at least once Vs a competant blaster, will also take several blues to get even the basic pets into play. JIMHO of course

some tank attacks have built in taunt, as stated he means you dont know if the effect is from a taunt move, an actual taunt or crappy gauntlet which I dont think I have ever been effected by in pvp -
res is better for leveling as its a permanant factor, defence can be circumvented too easily and only really comes into its own in the higher levels

if ice is better for pvp, how does it do in pve? I do like to solo quite alot, coming from other games where grinding has been paramount leveling the pvp missions solo is where I got most of my levels.. but I fear as a blaster I may end up with more debt than levels

Ice is great pve, it slows them down so incoming attacks are much less than they would normally be, frost breath which isnt great pvp is great pve. -

But the -Res increases that damage, so by the time you get around to letting off shout, it'll do close to, if not more than BIB - with boost range you're not far off doing it from the same distance too! :P
Alternatively, take things nice and slow and steady with an electric/ice - slowly but surely wins the race! : )

not really much of an argument when you can unleash the 3 ice single target attacks in essentially the same time at a further distance without boost range. Nothing wrong with sonic but takes more from a player to play it well than ice/em which numerically superior and easier to get into. -
its funny the way it swings, onion is pretty poor for zonal pvp atm while defiant has been good fun recently, it really does swing back and forward.

sonics ranged stun will not break non-squishy mez protection, same as no single player attack can even with domination up.
TFs stun is a lower mag than EMs actual stun power (also mag 3) and it takes 3 mag 3 stuns to pull down a primary/secondary mez protection power so stunning all but squishies solo is not really an option, I personally havent seen it done to any of my scrappers/tank/brute or stalker but the em tsoo can stack 3 'stuns' from the em set and knock off my mez protect. -

Rediculous, Im glad to hear that you petitioned him for that as was clearly not a pvp manuever and is abusing teaming mechanics, total greifing.

combustion and blazing aura = lots of trips to the hospital, if you are going to be mainly blaster teams with your friends then they should get resusitaion to bring you back to life after each mob
Aim and BU are both vital, nothing worse than when you miss a vital attack, these are both serious gems in the blaster sets.
I would make one something like this, the aid self is a godsend as is hibernate and consume gives you endurance return.
PVE I would do something like this
