    Check the US boards, its one of the new fotms and everyone is starting theirs after seeing the effectiveness of a few people, I have one myself

    Also its worth noting that some psi attacks bypass defence as are untyped (which is certainly a little unfair on SRs as its specifically says your defences work v psi, but hey, who beleives the power desciptions these days)

    Nope but the players behind them do, and rad is always good and untyped (not classed as melee, aoe or ranged) and unresisted damage seems like a good idea to me .

    And no offence but the US pvpers dick all over the EU lot, they take hardcore to another level and what becomes good over here was being played 6 months ago there. If they say its good I beleive them. Of course you could always get US codes and show your mettle over there, with what you consider to be strong builds, as opposed to being just about the only pvp sg with active players on union

    Not really, AM helps end recovery and a good rad/psi can 3 shot most.

  5. drop howl, damage is weak, long rooting animation and high endurance cost. The rest of your damage chain is ST so seems pointless to have on mediocre cone attack IMO.

    Sirens song is one that looks like you could drop but it perfect for taking out pesky bubblers as dispersion doesnt ahve resistance to sleep.

    with screech in and howl out I think you should have a pretty good build. I prefer SS myself though.

    not really, rads a pretty weak offensive set, the debuffs need to get past defence to lower defence and are useless V a resistance based alt. Psi is what you want
  7. Rad/Psi/body is THE pvp monster in the US, I cant think of much that will take it down
  8. you have made a HUGE mistake by leaving screech out of a pvp build, the ranged stun is the gem of the sonic set especially for pvp as acro doesnt protect from disorient. Screech will drop squishies left right and centre.

    only for fire blasters, other snipe wont have the dot to kill you.

  11. I was playing in SC on my Ice/elec blaster on Freedom the other night when a MM was hiding on the other side of the wall outside hero base thinking he was being really clever. Cue teleport into the middle of his mob, a hold, a bf, reteleported into his mob, I then ran to just in front of the hero base (outside compound but still covered by drone) and went into rest so he couldnt teleport me. Cue insults about running and several attempts to teleport me from my prone position outside the base. I can be quite patient in pvp and was just there in rest waiting and lo and behold he sends in his minion probably thinking I had gone afk, jumped out of hide, ran through hero base and over the wall by the hospital so the pets would follow through all the drones and ran round and beat the [censored] out of the MM.

    I really hate tp in pvp

    bw aware that fire/ta is currently bugged as in if you ignite oil slick arrow on an indoor map it will burn your pets and they will not go on the affected part of the floor even after the oil slick has gone. it works fine on outdoor missions though.
  13. I hope not, it was a pointless server lag fest and I hate to think how many people got debted. I resorted to defiance sniping MMs just to punish them for causing more than their fair share of lag.

    However a weekend long lvl 50 RV test server event would be a good thing. Akin to the RV test event previously, enabling you to try out some ATs, builds and have a ton of pvp again.

  16. take the slots out of resiliance, the resistance it offers is absolute rubbish, it should be taken for the auto mez protect but thats it, one slot in resiliance is the limit.

    Tough is pretty good on regens

    stealth in cloaking device is pretty good, especially combined with fly as there are more dimensions to hide in.

    Fire snipe is the best in the game as it has the upfront damage of 7.667 BI but also the additional ticks of DOT, nothing better than to hit someone with fire snipe and watch them jump away and the dot to kill them while escaping

    servers are supposedly specificed for about 75 people per zone, running on performace settings helps your graphical lag. I had no performace issues last night at all
  20. Cranked up a couple of alts on the US Freedom server (ill/emp, ice/em, ice/ss) to SO and SC range and PVPd there after the squishy tournament till about 3am. It absolutely rocked, stalkers were in a minority, corrupters were abundant which made things lots of fun. At once point there must have been 40-50 people in there and it wasnt even pvp night.

    The euro servers need more pvpers, more corrs, more doms, I have seen the other side and it is good.....
  21. would be nice if WB was a real chaos zone, if heros can kill heros why the hell cant you team with villains?

    WB is to big and the level of minions is detrimental to squishies as trollers can get wiped by the titans roaming around.

    SCs broken end near villain base is flawed, makes pvp akward and the water lock bug is beyond annoying but it has the largest amount of play in it due to level range.

    short curcuit drains and prevents it from recovering afterwards, with that, power sink and most attacks doing some drain once its at 0 you are not getting it back unless dead of carrying blues

    KS is talking about Heat Exhaustion (/Thermal)- which completely halts Recovery and saps you down to 0. (FYI, it'll also eat through the base +Recovery of Elude and related powers.) No need for all the continued sapping - it's a one-shot deal, and it lasts for an age. As Plight notes, however, it is only ST.

    it doesnt sap you down, it takes an initial chunk of end as a drain and then halts all recovery for 60 seconds, the action of then running toggles/using powers is what eats away your end. It can be perma without hasten but if it misses its a bit of a blow.

    Tanking with SS on probably seems easier because the stealth element is losing you some aggro. I regularly team with a dark defender and are forever having to say to turn off shadow fall because it's so much harder to tank with a bit of stealth.

    With Aid Self and only using Hibernate when the s*** hits the fan I've found myself comfortably tanking +5's with no defender backup.

    As far as EA goes (slotted 2x2x2), I've been hit by a sapper that's taken all of my end away, one use of EA in a medium sized mob and I get a full bar of end, and this recharges every 30 seconds or so. It also drains half of the enemy's end, with two ice tanks or playing with a elec blaster it's quite possible to drain all end from an entire mob.
