A somewhat pointless thread which can be summed up here

why dont we start threads about regens now, AS damage, repel powers, rad and a million other things already discussed to death. Whats next? Whining about taser as its a fast firing 100% stun, web grenade as it shuts down 2 travel powers? 3 if you dont have mez protections and/or combat jumping.
The upshot is EMs one of the few blaster powers that is balanced, high damage, long recharge, useful 2ndary effect, long animation. When looked into in context (and not in a uber buffed environment with support classes) its all it should be, high burst damage to reduce incoming damage. Its been acknowledged by the devs that the rest of the blaster 2ndaries need work and that was well over a year ago.
I dont beleive there is anything in this game now that is remotely close to being overpowered as A beats B, B beats C, C beats A truely exists now. Its just that a whole heap of 2ndaries need buffing significantly. -
Earth mastery is very good, fissures disorient synergises very well with containment and earths embrace is an insane self heal/hp buff giving my fire kin a 800pt self heal and perma 1600 hit points

I came, I Thermed, I used my Patron Pool.
I honestly enjoy villains more for PvP, although that Thaw animation and rooting nearly let you catch me a number of times. As I said at the time, think I'll be back now I have the Therm at 50, and with an arena build next time. Coming along tonight helped me see what I need to change.

drop all thermal powers except the aoe heal because you cant but make sure you 6 slot it for end reduc, take the fighting, presence pools and flurry, hasten and whirlwind from speed pool. Take every attack power and again 6 slot for end redux this will help with the fact that you wont be taking fitness pool
Unless of course you are in my team so make 2 builds.... -

Just wondering if energy transfer makes aid self pretty much required. I'm planning out an inv/em and the taking damage to use it thing without a reliable heal scares me. Dull pain cycles slooooow and I have a tendency to use HP boosters to boost my max HP rather than heal myself.
So. Yeah. Necesary, or not really? I can fit aid self in pretty comfortably although it would require skipping Conserve Power. But then I'm hoping with an end reducer in all my attacks (and two in total focus) as well as all my toggles and stamina, I should be fine endurance wise.

Aid self is not needed on any tank. Just pop a Heal Insp when you feel you need some extra health and dull pain isn't up.
Also, the actual amount of health drained by ET isn't that big.

aid self is going on my ice/em tank -
sounds like a nice match v vigilence and im a big fan of seeing villains getting used more in arena (though I still beleive that they are inherantly weaker due to sucktastic epics)

that was the debuff, I tested v grey lts and they ran off. Invince is the easiest to see not working as it has no additional componant that effects mobs.

I've found grey mobs running off even after an actual Taunt; I thought if you damaged something a lot lower than you it was inclined to flee, and that could override the effects of being taunted? Although presumably while the taunt effects lasts it isn't allowed to break off and attack someone else, it's fleeing or attacking you, and no 3rd option...

I didnt attack them and they ran off, and the US are reporting the same, the taunt portion is only affecting minions at the current time -

I would advise checking US boards on a rad/psi
I would say though, having a rad/sonic with copious amounts of HOs and is as end effecient as you can possibly get, to ditch leadership entirely as you will NOT have the end to run it and will only be of any use teamed with a kinetic -

and killed aurora borealis as AV in a Mayhem -
ss is actually tasty damage all the way up to 50, just dont expect to be doing much damage to defs and trollers if they ahve their epic sheilds up. Rage is a joy but NRG is a harder hitter from 38 on though. Fire attack is too aoe to be of much use in pvp unless your intention is be a dedicated MM muncher
primaries its fire for a great heal and an extra build up, downside is you need acro for kb protection and cj for immob
inv is just pretty damn good generally for tanks though psi will devour you
ice is great -
u were clearly trying not to focus mainly on yourself but your duel with the 2 mms was the best thing of the whole event and should ahve left it in entirely

my ice/cold works fine (admittedly with no sheilds) but thermal sheilds can inexplicably stretch to the sky and send my fps to low single figures -
be glad you not a fire/ta troller, on indoor missions if you do ignite it, it will burn your pets and they will never again return to that location even once the slick has gone

fire/fire is immense fun and with a good team you will be destroying all before you with aoe goodness.
