I have to agree. I love corruptors, in fact I love all the CoV ATs (with the exception of Stalkers). I like corruptors because they are nice and versatile. You can play like a blaster when the team is ploughing through missions and you can switch to defender mode when the going gets tough. Scourge is also my second favourite inherent in the game (second to Domination).
Nothing to say other than im totally corrupted - now working on my 5th

I still haven't had another chance to carry out more testing yet. I hope to be able to try it again tonight, I'm going to see if I can narrow it down to a particular power, or see if it is the set itself.

i havent had that problem on my /cold yet and ive got both shields and Frostwork....
Haha, ice/cold is just the one im playing a lot lately, just as a fire/dark, and my good old dark/rad and...
Oh boy, i'm seeing a pattern here. What is happening to me? Almost everyday now I've got some crying trollers and domis on my doorstep asking me where did my love go? 
Cold is a new set to me and i have to admit it feels really great. That I didnt make one earlier blows me really.
And about that fps drop; i've experienced something similar a few times now you mention it. Just didn't think of blaming it to /cold. I'm gonna be testing this soonish.

my ice/cold works fine (admittedly with no sheilds) but thermal sheilds can inexplicably stretch to the sky and send my fps to low single figures

As I mentioned in the other thread, I carried out some more testing the other night and failed to recreated the severe lag that I (and team mates) was experiencing before. I used my second account to team with myself and try out different combinations of Cold powers, moving between zones and completing missions. Nothing that I did caused me to get the lag. It is either a complete coincidence that the only time i've ever experienced this is when playing my Cold (one of my least played toons btw), or it was the fact that I was in a much larger team. Unless any other Cold corruptors can confirm whether there corruptor is causing them a problem I'm going to assume that Cold isn't the issue.
Only got my Cold Corr to lvl 12 but i do remember asking if people wanted Ice Shields in advance as there was a lag issue for some. Looks like it's no longer a major problem? , or only effects a few poor souls?
It's arctic fog that causes the massive FPS drop, after a while. Always did since I6 and still does right now. 
I've got a lvl50 Ice/Cold that has suffered some of the problems mentioned above...but only really happens when on RSFs and zoning from RV, he too also has all both shields, Frostwork and Arctic Air.
Just recently upgraded my GFX card but haven't really played him since, but i'm scheduled for a RSF run on Sunday so will let ya know if it's still happening.
I think it's sheer coincidence and the source must be another issue.
I teamed regulary with a /cold Corruptor to 50, often in full teams. Never ever experienced this or heard any of our teammates report it or anything that could be specifically associated with /cold.
Also been around him when pvping and not had any suspicion of anything linked to it. Could be lucky I guess.

and to couple Mighty's comment I team with a */Cold corr and PvP alot and never get problems but he doesn't run the above power which may be the cause
Me being a former troller freak and when i seriously started playing CoV only a few months back turned domi lover have (re)discovered corrupters. My domi's feel horribly alone lately, since i started playing a few corrs and found it brilliant.
Just a big up to all the corrs as i feel positive now- it's rare with all the utter nonsense and totally massive packed bags of idiocy this game keep bugging us with- but keep on rocking.
The more corrs the better a place this gaming world becomes!
