  1. Nice post Phobos I'll see you there SG colors blazing. Would be nice to have a natter in game with people we may not have seen or spoken too for a while.

A chance to get together and remember the fun times we had and the fun times to have still.
  2. I'll try Getting a toon over there M and lets mash those spiders
  3. Good - a 'hidden healer' witha few neat tricks.

i've got a wee one that performs well - can be nice in PvP and you have a few Ill tricks (If your focusing mainlyon the empathy) that I would rate over having a few attacks to chuck out.

Obviosuly SI helps alot to be 'less' of a target in team/zonal PvP

Fun if you like Empathing try it

22 kills - think the pets helped alot with that if the decoy's were spamming DoT powers
  4. Just on another note I read earlier - claws does ok in PvP..

yes greatly resisted - yes no BU without first hitting the target but focus & Shockwave give much needed range damage that other sets fall down on.

Not the FoTM but alot of people that face my claws/regen are suprised at the damage output it can give.

It's not an easy PvP choice and not the best in numbers at all but it can be used well witha speedy focus strike to boost damage while your tracking down the mvoing opponenets.

Or at least this is my personal view!

    HOW COOL

    [ QUOTE ]
Yeah, is geat. Make sure you get the self rez as well. Just forget debt, it's been nerfed into oblivion. You recover from the crash much quicker by faceplanting and self rezzing (switch to dwarf form and you are back in the fight at once).

Takes notes - yes I like that one alot - brilliant idea

    Tanker mind

Interestingly enough Mega if you've teamed with my Thrugs MM I play it pretty much as a tank - with BG mode runnin g you can take a serious beating. Now mine is Thugs/Poisen so the debuffs help against boss & worse damage but I think MM's make great tanks for teams up to 4 people.

Any over that I do think a self healing secondry is needed - although the use of def & resistance will be interesting on the above as the pets have self heals too.

I think it works very well - also taking the fear powers in the prescence pool can help alot for the damage mitigation - I know it has saved my MM a few times while my heal is not charged and I need a few seconds grace before the pets step in

I like the look of it let me know how it pans out

    Robot Rampage!

Yep was good fun - no idea where mine wandered off to but it came back in the end to my call's of Rez plzzz

Was really good fun great sorting out on this one also yes would love to go for it again and will get it through Oros as bait again

Thanks for the fun on Defiant and was good to see such a good turn out

    bg mode??

think of it as tank mode - or at least i do in PvE onyl way to solo - sadly means you can't direct the damage effectively but great way to survive and in PvP one of the only ways to go! (imo)
  9. I play Sr and don't.. Looks up from floor at the regen...

Point taken.. Yes the def sets really do take a beating - but imho still fun - I enjoy my SR but it is tough out there with the ACC buffs floating around!

    Robot Rampage!

Hiya Mega - I've got the Crimosn Arc on Mr nice don't think i'm too far down it so can get the mish ready as Bait too

    New on Defiant

Good to hear you enjoyed it - if your ever looking for teams I wander the defiant server alot with my SG mates and were always teaming all different levels and times
  17. Well imo you can PvP with pretty much any AT some tend to find it easier then others - TA is no exception - although not the best of 'picks' in the PvP scene with Archery having high resistances - in team PvP i think you can add great help - Glue Arrow is one of the meanest ways of pinning down a group if you catch them right and focusing on pinning them down and slowing them by stacking glue and Immob arrow I think is a viable tactic..

A long grind as you effectivley slow them to detah and keep yourself alive with aid self as you skip about them firing off arrows!

Medcine/SS/Acrobatics I think would be staple for this to be a pvp toon as a squishy too - shout em if you want any pointers I can try giving them

    New to game

    Welcome tot he game...

My advice as always is to play a set you like the sound of as your new - it will keep you interested.. As an easy start i think Regen/Willpower as mentioned above.

Please feel free to shout on my Gloabl for any advice or PM me here. Welcome to Defiant

    PvP

Well I can comment from experiance on a few notes - yes EM is the top runner on PvP but i play an MA and get along pretty well in pvp in alot of aspects - it can dish out good damager vs the right targets (It falls down as highly resited) but even so I have taken down a fair share Of PvP'ers of all standing with it - although not the 'nbest' choice go for anything I'd say that you will enjoy - if you want to go for a maxed out toon to have the numebrs up you can find them on the baords but it's not always about the buold (AS mentioned above) the player has alot to do with it too
  20. Hiya Grav/FF it's fun - tough one to play I found I've got one to level 50 and it was a long hog - i'd say respec is our friend.

At the low levels having propel & the ST hold coupled with the bubbles for allies means that you can play well within a team and still have enough ST dmaage to get through the lower levels.

As mentioned above skipping the Repel style powers from FF is an option (one I went for too) although forcebolt is a handy tool to keep a mob tied up in a sticky situation - think you have to have it but an Acc SO or two would suffice for slotting on it.

From grav for leveling I'd skip the Immob powers and D-shift - reasons:
    1) I'm not too keen on the imob powers at low levels I don't think you have the powers to hold the aggro and it gives alot of aggro - the ST immob at low level can be replaced by alot of better powers and taken later in the build.
    2) D-shift - well although I do love this power it really doesn't hold well in alot of teams (especially PuGs) it's a real panic hit button to save the team but regular use will lead you to becoming more porular - with the other AoE control powers I'd advise against this until higher level.

for pool powers medicine pool is great not only for the self heal in PFF at those sticky moments but the bit of healing you can offer, stamina I'd say is a big must too as running the PbAoE bubbles as well as spamming your attacks/holds will create an end problem unless carfeul slotting is adhered to.

Last couple of points - Wormhole - YES - great power, very long stun when slotted - careful on the KB it does as can put mobs out of AoE. It's recharge is good and the conrtol factor fantastic - Sing (the pet) big Yes again - he'll help out with the control while you are applying bubbles if mid fight or trying to cover yourself in PFF if the heat is too high.

Hope the ramblings have given you some indication - it's a tough build to solo with (I found at least) but it is a very rewarding one to play and great in teams. If you want any other pointers give me a shout and am happy to rant on some more

    PVP Picks

    [ QUOTE ]
Mind/ff used to be quite good for team pvp. In fact it was that good that even Mesmer looked decent when playing it . Wish they fixed force bubble

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sorry to go off a little wayward from the OP. When you say it's broken is this the problem that basic SS or sprinters can get in to melee you as the 'ticker' to repel opponents is so slow or something else?

I use FB alot in PvP on my grav/FF and although not fantastic it seems to do an ok job or is there something I'm not aware of?

  22. [ QUOTE ]
Stalkers suffer in teams because they bring the least to the table - much like Scrappers in Heroes IMO.

Having AS do massive damage against AV's (and scaling down through EB's, Bosses etc...) would be a start. Another way to buff Stalkers would be to make Stalker Unresistables work properly. I don't like seeing my AS ping off an AV or EB (or hell Boss) that's popped something like Unstoppable with naff damage.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yep totally agree - it's a nice start to give us some of an up when team picking is going on. Having your AS bounce off high res powers is a real pain and having a portion of it go through no matter what would be great.

But also agreed lets hope it's not insane damage boosts just something to make us feel a bit more use aye
  23. Good buff - hope it's released soon and then hopefully more stalkers will have good places in teams - i feel like a bit of dead weight at times in teams with my MA/SR but this will be a much wanted boost..

So now scaling AS for pvp against AT's.. hmmm (<<that last bit was a joke before the nerf stalker comments come in )
  24. What type of stalker was this that you were missing?
it's very viable that the stalker simply popped alot of def pills after being seen and ran?

If you find you miss a couple of shots eat a few yellows or BU & Aim then go for the low HP bugger as he runs for cover..

At least thats what people do to my poor stalker

But due to the low HP of stlakers and that they rely on defense I don't see how this makes them voerpowered - if you miss all stalkers all the time thats another issue, but is this a one off?

If a stlaker had no defense outside of hide they would have no viable means to survive anything after an AS (unless regen is spamming heals).

I always think that it is worth playing the AT before judging them massively - that goes for myself as well why I don't comment on some AT's
