3 heal if you're planning to PVE only, 3 def for pvp.
I'm sure if you slot all your other shields for Def, then 3 def in overload is putting you over the cap. I thin I have 3 recharge, 2 Def. it really is just an emergency power IMO.

[/ QUOTE ]It gives 45% def unslotted, so against foes with no extra ToHit, you're already capped.
3 Heal everytime, you need to lvl, extra 600 hp (At lvl50) will never go amiss, thats on top of the 600 you get to start with btw, so 1200 hp extra total.
If you PvE slot it 3 rchg 3 heal...if you PvP slot it 3 rchg 3 heal 
It still has a big defence buff but the +HP is a massive + anything that hits you ...tickles really.
3 synthetic membranes, 3 heal is optimal

I'm still a bit unsure about Overload slotting. I've played around with most combinations (always three recharge) and last night was the first time I tried 3 recharge and 3 heal. I used to have it slotted 3 recharge, 2 defense and 1 resistance, I liked that I could laugh at defense debuffs. I tried with no defense and 3 heals and found that if I faced an enemy with defense debuffs then I would be in trouble.
I've finally settled with 3 recharge, 1 defense and 2 heals. It seems like a nice balance to me, you still get an awesome HP buff (just under 2500 total hp at lvl 50) and you have a nice enough boost to defense to still be able to shrug off defense debuffs.
Got all the hp accolades, so my hp is just under 3000 in overload with 3 heals in, done lrsf twice with it now, never used it in it lol, but in normal pve used it to enable me to take down an even lvl manticore hero solo, well it was after he took out the other 2 party members within 5 secs lol b4 i got their.
Cant locate a guide for EA, I might well have missed one after my brief search. All I really want to know is how to slot overload when it comes along. 3 recharges, obviously, but what of the many other options should go into it?
